November 24, 200817 yr I've seen the controversal incident six or seven times now and IMO he should have walked. If that was an outfield player the decision would have been different.
November 24, 200817 yr No question. How many decisions have went Celtic's way this season? Hope we get it right up them on saturday.
November 25, 200817 yr I've looked at it a few times and can see why it was only a yellow. When Dargo nodded to ball past Boruc it was going away from goal and there were also two covering defenders. However, it was a high, dangerous tackle that could have caused a seriuos injury and could (should) have been punished with a red. I do believe if that same situation had happened with Esson/Fraser or any other goalkeeper outwith the OF he would have walked.
November 25, 200817 yr Watched it on the BBC this morning - definite red....stupid challenge....he is a very lucky man only to get a yellow....I don't think he would have had too many arguements if it had been an early bath.... Then again the manager may have had a bit more to say about it....
November 25, 200817 yr Leaving aside whether it denied a clear goal scoring opportunity, the tackle itself was reckless and could have resulted in serious injury. It merited a red card in my opinion.
November 25, 200817 yr Although deep down I believe he was considering going for the abll it was a reckless challenge, which would have resulted in 3 months in Barlinnie if it happened in the city centre. Dargo took the ball round the 'keeper and regardless of the defenders you would have expected him to score. So it was capable of a red card not only for its recklessness but also stopping a clear goal scoring opportunity. No OF biasedy? Aye right!
November 25, 200817 yr He should of been sent of. I saw the incident on the highlights! plus Brown would of played on Saturday and we would stand more of a chance on Saturday.
November 25, 200817 yr He should of been sent of. I saw the incident on the highlights! plus Brown would of played on Saturday and we would stand more of a chance on Saturday. Exactly!
November 25, 200817 yr This shows how difficult a refs job is. I have seen it from all angles. From main tv angle...it looked a stonewaller. Seen from other angles, Boruc withdrew his leg and i wouldnt have sent him off. A booking at most
