As part of my current fundraising venture Twelveby12 I have a pair of Jonny's matchworn goalie gloves up for auction. Jonny was kind enough to donate them prior to the final day of the season at Hamilton, and has signed and squad numbered both in black marker on the palms. My aim this year is to raise ?12000 for some brilliant charities including Children with Cancer UK & Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the last few years I have raised ?20000 for some brilliant causes through auctioning items donated by celebrities such as this item. I also run marathons, having completed the last four NYC Marathons, and this year I will be running in Berlin and Loch Ness as well as loads of smaller events around the UK. Em...Neros first name was Alex too but he was from the ...not Skye...unless he moved...which is perfectly conceivable :) Has Skye moved. It was one of the western isles last time I was there. My understanding has always been that Skye is The Inner Hebbridies. The Western Isles, in my understanding, is generally considered to be places such as The Isles of Harris, Lewis, Barra etc, places in the OUTER hebridies, hence the name WESTERN isles!.....and given your widely observed propensity to be wrong Alex...you will have to excuse me if i hold firm with my views for now. Then again, considering Geography isnt my strong point, along with many other things, I am open to the idea that i could be wrong on this.

or maybe it shows a maturity beyond his years and a realisation that football is a short career and once its over he will need to find work in the real world just like the rest of us .... finishing his apprenticeship gives him options were he to get injured, go off the boil, or not have it in him to become a coach or manager when he hits his mid thirties or later ......

Barrowman on fire? Didn't happen very often during his ICT days!

Not to rain on everybody's parade, but I must say, I am less than overwhelmed by this signing. I've seen Tade play quite a few times as I quite often attend Raith matches, and he's not all that. His speed is considerable, though he tires after 30 minutes, and he is very awkward to deal with when he is in full-flow. That being said, for a striker, he misses a hell of a lot of chances and his composure in front of goal is non-existant. He has the touch of an antelope and his technique isn't much better. Also, not sure how he'll fit into the team, can't think of an obvious role for him. If Rooney were to go he is CERTAINLY NOT an adequate replacement and he's not better than the other first choice attacking players we have. Only role I can see him having is one where he comes on in the last 20/30 minutes and wreaks havoc with the opposition defence. Even Raith fans treat him fairly ironically, they love him and chant his name but that's only because he tries hard and occasionally pulls something out of nowhere, not because he has any semblance of skill about him. I dunno, maybe Butcher's played a blinder here, and I will happily eat my words if he has, but I don't see Tade doing too well.
