My Uncle David was laid to rest today. A great family man and absolute gentleman who was, we believe, the only player to have captained all three Inverness sides. He also managed Caley in the early 70s and Clach in the late eighties. Was nice to see Billy Urquhart, Davie Milroy and Roshie Fraser at the service today (apologies to other football folk I may have missed). I know the family will have appreciated their attendance and the great send off he was given by family and friends from near and far. RIP Uncle David
  2. Went to the fun day on sunday to see grandson playing, spent most of the time trying to avoid big Jim whose role was to tell parents to get off the pitch. This was a bit of a shame because Sunday's football by the youngsters was better than the first team on Saturday, at least they tried to play football ,!!!
  3. Many will know that I'm not a fan of the SPL but hey, this was my team in the top league of Scottish football. Never thought I'd see the day that we'd be at the top of the PL. What a ride. From those heady heights comes the slump. We peaked with the SFA Cup win and never capitalised as we couldn't hold on to that great team. That was a real shame and it was (is) all down to money. As mentioned above the people never came to the stadium in their droves to support what was an exciting team. If they couldn't do it then they certainly won't do it now. The potential for a large home crowd is there but it's trying to rid the city of this apathy that is the biggest problem.
