  1. League goals from our strikers: 2 Sutherland 1 Mckay 0 Duku and Jamieson Meanwhile, Arbroath’s McKenna has 9, Partick’s Graham has 7 and there are 6 each for Raith’s Zanatta and Killie’s Shaw. I’m not really blaming our strikers, it’s not as if they are missing lots of sitters. The service to them has been pretty poor.
  2. Two points dropped rather than a point gained today. We were by far the better team and should have won comfortably but we did not take our chances. The woodwork cost us twice whilst Welsh had a decent penalty saved and we were not troubled by the Thistle attack. It was a much better performance than Tuesday, which is positive, but we need to start scoring goals as that is our achilles heal at present. That said, I’m feeling positive about the season again after seeing us outplay one of our play off rivals. We have only taken 9 points out of our last 21 so need to get back to winning ways, but despite that we remain second and are 6 points ahead of Partick in fifth.
  3. The inability to take advantage of the numerous opportunities created, even from the penalty spot is extremely concerning and deeply frustrating. It's all very well keeping things tight at the back but it's scoring goals that wins games. We could very well end up with the best defensive record in the division and still lose out. If we can't sort out this inability to finish we can soon kiss our title chances goodbye. Billy Dodds, you were a striker and a very good one at that. Get onto the training ground and get it sorted
  4. Let's hope for a good performance today. Get at them early. 😁
  5. Gareth, I hope you enjoyed your holiday in the highlands and had some decent weather before the "turmoil" on Tuesday night and that's not the weather I am talking about. It's a pity you didn't even see a half decent game of football, I am sure you will be glad to see Stockport again. We started of better this season than usual and I am hoping that we will play better for the rest of the season to get the chance for promotion again.
  6. Onerous task at Firhill Not always a happy hunting ground for the Caley Jags, we travel to Glasgow to take on the often high scoring Partick Thistle at Firhill. We did get the better of them last time we met, but only after a tortuous first half when we could have been three down. We turned that game around after the interval and ran out 3-1 winners in a dominant second half. Saturday's game is a 3:00pm kick off. Tremendous goal by Walsh who had scored the winner last time Inverness were here with an equally stunning strike. Over to you Mr Walsh, time to get the finger out and get back to doing what you do best. We lost our top spot in midweek as Killie overhauled us having been five points behind us last Saturday morning. Pld W D L F A +/- Pts 1. Kilmarnock 11 7 2 2 14 7 7 23 2. We lacked any real penetration and when your most reliable player errs, then you know it's not going to be a good night. Credit to Arbroath though, they did what they had to do to get the three points and top scorer Michael McKenna's wind aided free kick found the net to give the Smokies all three points. The defeat was hard to take, but the manner of defeat has been a cause for concern in recent weeks. Lack of guile and quality up front and lack of pace at the back has seen us struggle, even against ten men, twice. Partick fared little better as they drew 0-0 with Morton following a 0-0 draw with the Pars. However, go back a further week and they ransacked a hapless Hamilton Accies 1-6 at NDP. Latest Team News David Carson is still absent but Cammy Harper has resumed training although he is unlikely to be fit for this game. Ian McCall had this starting XI out on Tuesday night in a 0-0 draw at Morton: Sneddon; Foster, Akinola, Mayo, Holt, Bannigan, Docherty, Turner, Tiffoney, Rudden, Graham View full article
  7. The difference was having Allardice back in the middle. Duffy did well hope he’s given a chance.
  8. 1 point
He was at the Arbroath game on Tuesday and on the pitch in the warm up. Good to see him back.
  9. Much better than Tuesday so far and we should be ahead. Walsh and Gardyne have both had efforts come off the woodwork. Having Allardice back in midfield seems to be helping us win the second balls and retain possession better. We’ve had some decent quick breaks particularly through Walsh. A big 45 ahead.
  10. ..and stay at them for the full 90 minutes.
  11. Lets face it catering could me much better and actually could bring in increased revenue if done properly. Ours is probably the worst in league. HL clubs are better! Either club doesnt care or doesnt think that we see what other clubs do?
