  1. In fairness I don't mind looking back at times provided the player can still offer us something. Billy Mckay coming back has been a good move as was resigning Barry Wilson many years ago. But equally there have been others like Dennis Wyness who didn't quite hit the same heights as their original spell. Scott Allan has been released by Hibs and I'd love to have him back at TCS but I suspect he'll head to someone like Saint Johnstone or a Dundee.
  2. It will be very interesting to see how the concert venture works out. The idea of setting up their own production company was so that a 3rd party doesn't cream off the profits. But making profits requires strong ticket sales. I've no idea how many tickets have been sold or how many need to be sold to make a profit, but Scot Gardiner said in his statement last Friday that there is still availability in all levels for both concerts. If people from further afield were thinking about coming to Inverness for the weekend they might find that costs of overnight accommodation will make them change their mind. According to booking.com, a couple of nights (Friday to Sunday) in a basic Holiday Inn Express room will knock you back £582 whilst the Glen Mhor is charging £1,040 with breakfast extra! In his statement, Scot also said that the date of the Club's AGM would be announced this week. Hopefully it will be happening before the start of the next season so that the financial position and on-going plans will be a bit clearer before the next campaign starts.
  3. We've not gone back in for Toddy or Donaldson. Just lazy speculation. Also, Donaldson has signed for Falkirk. His career has really taken off since he left us. Get it right up him.
  4. Add a few more and there is every chance that the second year of that contract will be spent in the Premiership.
  5. I am also happy that Welsh has decided to commit to another 2 years. Hopefully some announcements regarding some fresh new players coming in are forthcoming. I just hope the club resists the urge to go back the way for signings such as Todorov and Donaldson etc

Very poor from Scotland. Ukraine knew how we’d line up and capitalised on it and deservedly won. McGinn should have scored and that may have given us more time to get back in it, but after MacGregor’s goal we didn’t really trouble them and we can’t complain that they picked us off with a third. I don’t like losing but if there was ever a team to lose to it is Ukraine. No offence to Wales, but I will be supporting Ukraine on Sunday and hope they qualify and stick two fingers up to Putin and perhaps help get a message through to ordinary Russians that Putin and his cohorts are misguided, that the war is wrong and the world is supporting Ukraine.

Good luck to Ukraine against Wales. By far the better team for large spells of this match. Thought Scotland were poor in the first half and - not because he is former ICT - I thought it was only when Christie came on and the midfield got more of a grip of the ball that our performance got better. Almost a grandstand finish, which would have been just like Scotland to do things the hard way, but unfortunately (like ICT in the STJ game) when you commit so many forward, you run the risk of conceding that late killer goal. Hope they do the business against the Welsh (no offence to Wales) and then light up the tournament at the end of the year. If they get there I think they will be a lot of people's sentimental choice and seem solid enough to do well. Oh well, at least Canada qualified so I have that to look forward to, and hopefully for Scotland to get to the 2026 world cup and maybe be based in Toronto!
  8. Great news. He’s very influential and if he can stay injury free a big player for us.
  9. Very good news indeed. An increasing infuential player and worthy club captain.
  10. Sean Welsh signs new 2 year deal.
