Met this guy David Bauckham when he flew all the way up from Sussex to see Gala v Whitehill. Very detailed article. https://dbauckham.exposure.co/concrete-ambition1 point

Yeah that’s the one, famous for the ‘Brutalist’ architecture of the concrete stand. Caley actually got drawn there twice in the cup in the 1980s and I was there as a lad. 2-0 win in 1984 (but only after Gala should’ve taken the lead but hit the post with a penalty) and then about 5 years later a 2-2 draw followed by a 4-1 win in the replay.1 point

What gibberish. John Hughes was part of our premiership era, arguably the peak, and as you say our finances were healthier then. We still have generous donors who are covering the eye watering loses from the last couple of seasons. We are still working on a premier league budget in the championship. It's not the amount of money we're spending, it's the fact we're spending it on huge numbers of coaching staff, sporting directors, sports scientists, video analysts etc. and seeing zero benefit. It's bizarrely amusing that we have had so many injuries since introducing a dedicated sports scientist, played some of the dullest football since introducing more coaches, have been found lacking on player recruitment since bringing in a sporting director and put out the shodiest highlights since employing a video analyst!1 point

The winner for this season voted for by you is Billy Mckay. Billy started the season well winning for July and always puts in a great shift also winning in January and February. He had 41 appearances this season scoring 19 goals bringing his total to 100 for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, 1 short of the record held by Dennis Wyness. Congratulations to Billy a clear winner I hope he will sign another contract for next season and carry on scoring goals for us. Money counts (or doesn’t in this case), hence Dodds 2 more years. His previous spell in charge has been (no pun intended ) for me, a struggle to watch or comprehend the game plan! I cannot agree with IHE it’s a ‘clean sheet’ going forward for Dodds as he has the legacy of the previous years on his tab. (Yak yak injuries and bad luck). The task for him to prove he can provide a team and game plan that improves in both results and performance. I’m open enough and willing to provide him the 18 months to see what he can do, and despite my reservations hope he succeeds as Inverness can and should have a top league team. It will be selective matches however now going forward for me!1 point

Thanks Chris for remembering Newtongrange… that makes my tally 56. All SPFL from 2022-23 except Bonnyrigg, Elgin, Annan, Peterhead, Dumbarton, Meadowbank. Gutted to miss both games at Dumbarton, and for Elgin, had match ticket and train ticket bought but was ill on the day… Non-league - Spartans, Ness FC, Goathill (Stornoway), Newtongrange, Clach, Brechin, Buckie, Broadwood, Cowden, Gretna, Inverurie, Keith. Demolished - Telford St, Brockville, Love St, Bayview, Firs Park, Boghead, . The National Stadium. Furth of Scotland - Astra, Birmingham City, Fleetwood.1 point
