  1. A couple of pics from last night for the poor/lucky souls who couldn't make it (hiya Gringo}. Best viewed while sitting with your feet in a basin of ice.
  2. Totally agree about penalty shout. Alloa's goal was as sloppy as a sloppy thing that had won first prize at a sloppy thing contest for being a sloppy thing. That translates to sh!te defending.
  3. At one point we had Saturday’s xi back on the park after the subs and finished strongly. A draw was fair though, Alloa are no mugs.
  4. …and I originally had 1-1 full time and edited it to 0-1 - not one of my most successful days prediction-wise, but without knowing how things panned out tonight I’d have taken 1-1 before kickoff. A decent result away on a cold night against one of our more serious rivals for the title.
  5. Into the Christmas spirit already!!
  6. Looks very much like we should have had a penalty there. We got a bit of luck though with our goal, the Alloa keeper seems to have made a mess of a very saveable shot. Decent result though, away to a team packed with internationals!
  7. I agree with commentator, last second penalty, var would have given that all day long. No excuse for linesman as said.
  8. Disappointed we couldn’t win after leading but I’d have taken that before kick off. Sounds a pretty even game.
  9. Not sure why we felt the need to make three changes to the side that rolled Queen of the South over.
  10. Ha ha. I had 0-1 at half time.
  11. I wish he’d waited until the first minute of the second half, screwed up my NPL halftime prediction ☹️
  12. A bit surprised we’ve made three changes but I can’t argue that Longstaff, Bavidge and Stewart deserve to be in the team. It’s great that we have options and competition for places. Mckay back earlier than expected too so it’s a very strong bench.
  13. He's been deprived of his pie on a roll methinks...
  14. I’d have been at this match if international call ups hadn’t intervened. Our away record is very good, with just that blemish at Hamilton, and I think we can get another win. Alloa don’t concede many (at 8, the same as us) but don’t score many either. It could be tight and getting the first goal could be key to it, as that will make them come at us and open up space for us to cause them further problems. We are in a good place, let’s make it even better!
  15. This match is really one to look forward to. Pity it had been shunted into a Tuesday night as I feel it would have attracted (and deserved) a much larger gate on its original Saturday slot. Anyway, to the game itself. For me this is the perfect platform for ICTFC to display whether they are capable of holding down the position and tag of div 1 promotion favourites! Put it another way ‘does the Emperor’s clothes fit’ or are they just a little bit too heavy right now. I believe in the players and management have proved they have the ability and skills to deserve being top of the league on merit. Now they are the target for every team to knock them of this perch. It’s more a metal attitude the players have to show going forward. A good result tonight for me (and gauge to the above) will be to come away with a victory. A draw would be for me also a sign we are ready and capable of thinking we can carry the burden of promotion favourites. A sprinkling of luck doesn’t go amiss. Go for it lads! bc
  16. After postponing the original fixture due to players being on International duty, I really really hope Alloa Athletic lose.😁
  17. SUPERB PERFORMANCE. Mackinnon reminds me a lot of gerard. Not at the same level but in terms of mentality and impact he is astonishing. Calum Macleod is also developing into a great player. With performances this good our biggest risk is the winter transfer window and especially next seasons squad depletion if promoted. If we can extend any of these guys now is the time to do it. We shouldnt stop them leaving for their development but we should stop them leaving for free.
  18. I was out on Saturday evening but left my phone at home to avoid alerts and watched it first thing yesterday morning "as live". I thought the midfield were all excellent, to a man. Through the game I kept changing my mind on MoM but did eventually settle on McKinnon - two assists and a goal really deserve the plaudits. When the entire midfield play well it makes life so much easier for the defence and attack. Long may it continue. Getting the early goal was key too. Doing this stops the opposition parking the bus looking for a 0-0 and enables more chances to be created as the opponent has to look to get forward more than they planned. As someone who has only seen the two TV games and watched the YouTube goals/highlights for the rest I did want to mention Munro. As a keeper they really only appear when letting in a goal if you survive on YouTube clips, so even though he didn't really have any spectacular saves to make I thought he played well. Calmly dominated his area, made good decisions and claimed the ball well when he needed to. The defence are also clearly comfortable passing to him when necessary. He deserved the clean sheet. Let's just hope that all the good work and performance can be maintained tomorrow night.
