  1. What percentage of its history has ICT spent in the SPL? .....or...... What percentage of all league matches have been SPL matches. One of the shadows produced a table (possibly on P&B) showing RCFC had won marginally more league points than ICT. I would have been too embarrassed to post that, given that nearly 300 ICT games were in the SPL.
  2. A couple of things Clacher: First, down where I live I can't count the number of times people have come up to me and said how well we're doing. They even know some of the players' names....... Contrast that with other years when we got dismissed as a long ball team that scrapped hard for every point. Hibs in particular - they used to say how ugly it was when we came to ER. Second, just as your luck evens out over a season, it more or less does that over a half season too. Every club counts points lost and forgets the lucky points they won. The shadows are saying they NEARLY beat Celtic and lost last minute goals to st mirren, hearts etc, but they forget the dire games like dons away where they got murdered yet escaped with a point. You're just choosing to do it the other way round for a change. Our team are playing with confidence and can recover from going behind (even 3-0!). No predictions, we could lose a couple of players in the window but it would take a real collapse to be as bad as last year. After all, who predicted we could lose Jonny Hayes and not miss him at all?
  3. To be fair this can happen to anybody - 13 March 2011 - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9422305.stm 2 April 2011 - http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/inverness/240817-inverness-ct-v-celtic-postponed/ But it's only happened to us since the USH for the SPL totally ruined our pitch. It's been a problem over in cabbagetown since the year dot. Time to get on my soapbox once more - I haven't mentioned this all year anyway: ICT got the 10000 seat rule changed. ICT should fight to get the USH rule changed. It should be optional to have it, but if you lose a game to frost you get fined. USH is just like the wind turbines, a money-spinner for the industry.
  4. Global Warming Stadium.
  5. Aye travelling's what they do best!
  6. You really should have waited about 28 hours to post this, then at least it would have had the distinction of being the daftest post of the year..........
  7. That's right, I wasn't paying attention so I can't tell you who the young 'celebrity' was.....
  8. The merger just got a mention on Celebrity Mastermind!
  9. We murdered the Hibs though. The shads left ER wearing Dick Turpin masks. You're right though, they'll be treating weds like a cup final. A draw would be ok for us.
  10. They don't. The DU fans invented the term themselves many many years ago, long before all the modern Arab/Muslim stuff was even thought of... Something about their pitch being heavily sanded.
  11. Aye but how big? We talking caley100 and tm4tj next to him, or 2 seats in different stands?
  12. Not that simple. You had to be a member, i.e. a season ticket holder, to have a vote.
  13. Hope you got more of that nice Glenfarclas stuff, hate to see you running out in case I come round for a visit.
  14. Thread closed. Way off topic and abusive postings. It's xmas guys......
  15. They're not going to suddenly stay away now after 18+ years. Inverness has never been a hotbed of football. Sad but true. Also crowds are on a par with clubs such as St Mirren and St Johnstone. The wee team across the bridge had the same fixture last week, a six pointer against Dundee, when they still have thenovelty of the SPL, and the attendance was about 100 more. Factor in that the last game before xmas is always poorly attended, and also how many Dees fans made the trip 2 weeks running? I didn't check but I would imagine they'd be keener last week than this week when it was fairly obvious they'd get a doing.
  16. ICT are my big team. Whitehill Welfare are my wee team. I don't have any Spanish/English/Italian teams, just teams I can watch regularly (see rant about satellite TV!).
  17. Get me Rory McAllister!
  18. The best 'Downfall' ever. Watch this even if you find the rest boring. PMSL.
  19. Deek Madas
  20. We kept our side of the bargain, shame about the shadows letting the side down........
  21. And no chauvinism intended! I did a bit of research on this and one recurring theme was that cricket is easier for the batsman but harder for the bowler. Surprisingly harmonious discussions. Never found any fighter planes or tricycles mentioned though!
  22. It's OK, as I said earlier we're comfortable talking about it. As the big team in the Highlands we can take it.
  23. Like comparing playing bridge and snap.  I was kind of hoping for a bit more.......
  24. Rejoin Pele at Formartine Utd! Seriously, could play div 1 or 2 for a while yet.
  25. Surely Dougal is aware of the Caledonian FC thread on PandB which has been running for years - The OP started it with the best of intentions just as I started the CNP in 2000 - but I have to say the number of regulars on that thread is of 'phone-box' proportions.
