  1. ICT coming out
  2. Aye and bring back Pat McGinlay for him to deck. We played them in a SC replay since then, on Sky and a poor support of about 30.
  3. Wouldnae look forward to Livi after getting murdered by them the other week. Would fancy East Fife, I think we only ever played there once in div 2. Also never been to Berwick for donks. We could get another 'Berwick 18' or whatever it was called. Nah, C(o)unty away
  4. Culduthel I green dotted you as I agree with the sentiment (even though I had to fix your quote ). You too Rene. Sorry you young lads, can't fault your optimism, but anybody who is old enough to remember Argentina 1978 is scarred for life
  5. Feckin patronising gloryhunter. Ta ta then.......
  6. Ah yer life will never be the same again big man. When yer uncle Mantis telt ye to keep it in the ballop ye never listened Congrats big Ross and the Greek goddess and the wee bundle.
  7. I knew there was only one Scotty Davies but IHE had me wondering there
  8. I've tried making predictions in the past but they're always crap - you can never really get much idea till the first round of 11 fixtures is over. So instead I'll say what I always say - I hope the Midden take the drop. Partly because getting there is a hassle especially if Rangers are at home, partly because of the whole Rosscoe thing, partly because of the arrogance of their fans at our place the year they went up under Tom Hendrie, partly because of their crappy new stadium and all the parking restrictions. Difficult to judge if Danny Lennon is improving as a manager - this year will probably make or break him. Killie's hard to get to as well although it's a better day out for us. The Pars and Saintees are good trips for us but wouldn't shed too many tears if one of them went. Easter Road is always a highlight of the season for us along with Tynecastle so it would be unthinkable for them to go and a big loss to the SPL.
  9. Have to agree with Dougal   that Ross's final days at the club really have to be at CB. Have to point out to Dougal that it's only 2 years, not 3, since we took the drop which makes a wee difference. Even if Meekings wasn't injured, what I saw of him at the weekend suggests he's not ready yet for the SPL. Could be a good one for the future though.
  10. Reminded me a lot of the Fleetwood game last year. Opponents with a point to prove, on their home patch, ICT missing a few players, also a few new faces needing to gel. Last season didn't turn out too badly.
  11. I saw the pie too At half time I was so hungry I had to go and risk a mince pie. It was passable but cost me ?2.10. ?10 to get in too. Don't you just love it when these diddy clubs hike the prices up when a big club comes to town

Well it's my daughter's wedding tomorrow so I'm expecting nothing louder than sweetie rustling at Livi please as I'll be a bit delicate. Especially as Naelifts will be buying me nips all night.
  13. Congrats. Who says nothing happens in the close season?

I lub you all....... Youse can all buy me a at Livi on Sat. Not retired yet but winding down as from August. Mon and Tues off every week
  15. Got my usual 3 slots - sorry for the delay.
  16. The HL is probably poorer than the EOSL these days. Edinburgh City putting Clach out the cup twice? In the old days it would have been 5-0 Caley. Same with Caley v Spartans who have run away with the league for 3 years.
  17. Or ?ivi or Lavvy (they hate that). I'm sure we've got a great record there although we did get humped 4-1 once and lost 3-0 in our first ever SPL game.
  18. Where he could meet a few of his namesakes.
  19. Is this a good time to roll out the old Helmut Schoen joke? I haven't had an opperchancity to use it for weeks now..... .... the joke obviously.
  20. Without bothering to look at the link, I'm pretty sure that paedophilia (insert all American/non-classically trained spelling variations here) is the abuse of pre-pubescent children. I'm not trying to defend Thomson in the least when I say that these girls would be post-puberty and sexually aware. It's alleged that more girls were involved and Thomson was prosecuted only on the basis of abusing the two girls. Obviously these images would have been circulated fairly freely and some of the girls would have seen it as a bit of a laugh. It's likely that many boys would have seen the images too. A quick scan of Facebook will reveal, if anybody was unaware, just how sexualised modern teenagers are. But however sophisticated these modern teenagers think they are, that's what the law is for: to protect minors against the likes of Thomson. In my line of work, teenagers passing explicit images, by phone or otherwise, are deemed to be at risk, and I would be obliged to report any instances of this.
  21. This is all local to us down here. He went to our school and some of our girls were involved or knew the ones who were. Jefferies was furious with him when it broke last year and he sent the player down to England to take the heat off. I suspect Jefferies didn't want him back and as somebody mentioned, his principles will come into play sooner or later.
  22. Best of luck to the big man in what will be a tough shift in the Championship.
  23. The Midden have been living on borrowed time. Make or break time for Danny Lennon, if his latest crop of signings improve the team then he'll feel he's arrived as a manager. Hope they bomb. I think we'll struggle to maintain the same performance as last time, but enough experience in the squad to stay up. Obviously I hope this turns out to be unkind comment on Terry & Mo's judgement.
  24. Hair? Wot's that then? Happy birthday old git.
  25. I would say world football is a massive business and there's no shortage of nations wanting to qualify for World Cups. There are various political motives for combining nations such as ours, unlike in rugby where the six nations is pretty much on a par with the World Cup, and the World Cup needs nations like Scotland to make it interesting/competitive. Fifa doesn't need us, we're a minnow. They don't want us either, in case it gives other people/regions ideas. Maybe if rugby ever attained the status of football as a world game then our rugby team would be threatened in the same way. I'm against it, just in case you didn't notice.
