  1. This is a job for superman Jock Watt
  2. The wife said no. :moon:
  3. Coventry have highlights of the game but you need to subscribe. Any on ICTFC TV? I can't seem to log in at the moment. Funny but Coventry haven't listed any of their Scottish fixtures amongst the friendlies.
  4. Sorry guys, would normally look forward to this but something else family related I can't get out of.
  5. We'll soon be ruthless then
  6. I was going to say half man half duck. What about 'Bob Wilson -Anchorman'
  7. I see Yorkston is quoted in today's papers as saying they will now go down the compensation route and let Dundee get on with it.
  8. Just standing about trying to keep warm by the sounds of it
  9. Who was it said "I never make predictions, and I never will"   I'm going to hedge my bets and say the top six will come from Aberdeen Celtic Dundee United Hearts Motherwell and St Johnstone and the bottom six will come from Dundee Hibs ICT Killie Ross C(o)unty and St Mirren . I don't think it's our turn to go down yet. I don't think RCFC will be as strong as some people think, having to play SPL teams every week instead of just cup ties. But Dundee will save both of us
  10. To be fair, your questions have already more or less been answered by CapitalCaley. County are probably the only club excited about the SPL because they've never been in it: we were the same in 2004. The SPL is a failed product. I hope it goes soon.
  11. See 1:50 Cheers Caley, it near brings a tear to the eye watching that again even if it was only the second goal...... and a trademark chip for the winner. Younger fans take note!
  12. Plenty good images of Rossco over the years but it'll have to wait till he leaves his current club
  13. There was a good image of wee Stewarty shaking his fists at the camera when he scored the winner against Montrose when we won div 3.
  14. 71? Your days must be numbered then Mannie I remember at school the music teacher used to let us bring in albums with a promise that we could hear them after all the classical stuff. Funny how the bell always went 30 secs after we put it on. Anyway that's when I first heard 'In Rock' with such classics as 'Speed King', 'Into the Fire' and of course, of course, 'Child in Time'.
  15. Just wear an Elgin scarf and IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER will look after you
  16. Aye I remember some people doing that in the 70s. Usually they missed and they got thrown out the ground. I once saw Hugh Dallas with a nasty head cut though.
  17. Two things struck me when I read this. First, Celtic have won. Their hated rivals are defunct. Yet they're still whingeing. Second, it hasn't dawned on them yet that their cuddly little club will now be promoted to 'Most Hated Establishment in Scottish Football'
  18. If you are born in England, you think of yourself as British – Great British in fact. If you are born in Scotland, you think of yourself as Scottish It is know in Psychology (as the little man syndrome ) i. e. The big guy doesn’t waste his time bragging. Or saying how good he is You see it’s not important to him And yes, Laurence misses the point once again ........ It must be fun and games down there in Boat of Garten. A customer asks for The Concise Book of British Birds, and staggers out clutching Tolstoy's War and Peace.
  19. You're right Charles about the contradictions, and being on my iPhone at the moment I know how to scroll quickly to the top, but not the bottom, so I'm not gonna wear out my finger looking for a source of all this (mildly interesting) guff. However the author makes the usual mistake of confusing 'English' and 'British' all the way through. So we get occasionally accurate bits such as James VI and I, followed by 'Elizabeth I' and 'Elizabeth II' which are bollix. We also get 'Union with Scotland' (Scotland and who else I ask myself!).
  20. I would rename the thread 'Europe's assault on Celtic'
  21. Correct. I've obviously got massive concerns about our squad (or lack thereof) but afaik C(o)unty have not got anybody who's scored goals in the SPL. Can't see where they are going to replace Gardyne either. Their togetherness will have to take them a long way along with the experienced defence which could be overworked. Despite the hopes of the jailenders I can't see how they can afford the luxury of benching Rosscoe every week either. I think that's got a ring of truth in it but my memory is of TB persisting with Eagle and Stratford before realising they were useless and picking Roy and Russell which we had been telling him all along. Compared to other ICT managers it seems TB's ability to assess a player is hit or miss. Even Brew could spot a player even though he was feck all good at anything else.
  22. I know it's not been discussed much on here but the SFA have been working with the non-League clubs to try to set up a 'sort of' pyramid. The HL clubs have all got their licences arranged and there's moves towards a 'Lowland League' with the best from the EOSL and the SOSL plus any juniors who want to get involved. Clubs who don't meet the licensing criteria won't get in. Being involved with Whitehill I've seen most of the paperwork (including an SFA questionnaire) and the way things are going, clubs are wanting a system where the leagues below the current div 1 are regionalised. Also many clubs, if they commit to the HL/LL, would like the option of staying there even if they win it, as they simply can't afford to be in a league with midweek games away at, for example, Stranraer.
  23. ???????
  24. I actually had something similar in my hands the other week from about 1971. Official headed paper embossed in blue with the stand as you say, and a yellow backing sheet too. However I would have noticed any official mention of Glasgow on it, being kinda anal about some things. Sold it on eBay for about 38 squids. And here it is (possibly the link might even work!): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110742765978?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D110742765978%26_rdc%3D1#ht_500wt_922 Obviously I called them Glasgow Rangers to help sell it!
