  1. It's no racist to me but the pettiness makes me cringe a bit.
  2. Hey, beat ye, 31 ;) Keep aff the Glenfarclas ye auld git
  3. I'm guessing they're called Newcastrians, on what grounds I can't remember. Obviously Geordies is just a nickname.
  4. That wee weasel does that every week anyway. Even when they're top.
  5. Remember we used to have a guy on here who would argue black was white, and once had a classic quote that "no way Dons fans are obsessed with the past". His username........ Goteborg83
  6. The lonely prisoner. He was in his cell. The gay commando. Wouldnae leave his mates behind.
  7. You'll have to win this one without me folks. Always love a trip to Stark's Park, what with the large cheap double malt of the month in Stark's Bar and the barmaids wi their lungs hingin oot. Taking Mrs Mantis to Brussels, well Charleroi anyway, so I'll just miss the game by about half an hour to catch check in. Just as bad, Charleroi are playing Anderlecht just about the time we're touching down
  8. Mrs Yngwie aka Alison has just produced another daughter, 5lbs 10oz :024: Still no boys to help the ICT recruitment drive along, but there's still plenty of time......
  9. When was he relevant like?
  10. Sorry Chibs, I must have left it logged in and errrr..... Charlie Bannerman posted.
  11. Interesting point actually. If I remember correctly the Scottish Cup draw is done with the clubs in alphabetical order, right? So if we beat Killie we're still in the same place in the draw and we get the tims. Whereas in the CIS, it's seeded so the draw would have been different. We're seeded below St Mirren while Killie are seeded above them.
  12. First link doesn't seem to work Wyness. But they're just repeating the myth. He didn't sit on the ball.
  13. Not in that game (I watched the whole game a couple of years ago on DVD). At one point though he puts his foot on it, gestures to McCreadie to come over for it, then walks away :( As Stevie says, wee Bud Johnston did make a habit of things like that.
  14. That's quality that is.
  15. :021:   Reminds me of the boss when I had a paper round. We called him the count because that's what he was (almost) :023:
  16. I agree with that Manfer guy. It never really struck me till the other day, wandering up the road at the end of the day, trying to forget how shyte it is having to work for a living. One Saturday in August 94 we're all queuing up at the Caley Park to see Arbroath and thinking how we're going to have to get used to paying four quid at the gate instead of two now we're in the big leagues. A mere five and a half years later we're taking 5000 fans down to stuff the tims at parkheid. Sure, celebrate away. Maybe make this the last time, but who the feck cares.
  17. You have to laugh, ?65000 a week, should have bought Barrowman. From our point of view - I think it's OK. We beat Celtic then looked tired against St Mirren (OK make that hungover). Celtic beat Liverpool then underestimated us in the next game.... so the pattern is... we win on Saturday :D
  18. The cabbagemen are having their best season ever, I bet they're as surprised as anybody :022: But it's coming up to their Feb/Mar traditional collapse time ;) If they've got the baws for it then good luck to them. Mind you they don't get away from ICT that easy: remember 94-5 and again in 96-7 :023:
  19. Delighted. Decided not to make the trip solo after seeing the forecast. What was the ref like? I've seen him twice this year and he seems a bit like a little Hitler trying to impose himself. Against County at their place he was well out of his depth.
  20. I would keep him in. He's one of the few creative players we have. I never usually contribute to this thread because usually you don't change a winning side. We win a game and then you can guarantee some loony's on here on the Monday making 5 changes
  21. I think fences are overrated
  22. Is it beef stroganoff?
  23. Hit the woodwork 3 times or was it 4. Foran had a goal chalked off from a free kick just after the penalty. The foul was for foot-up which is indirect IIRC. Winning 1-0 with a spot kick flatters Airdrie. Very young team who seldom threatened. Might easily have ended 5-0 - the only worry was Airdrie might have got a deflection or an o.g. near the end. Don't think Ryan had a serious save to make. Ross had a very quiet 500th B) Cox got booked first half for a shocker of a challenge. Lionel was being targeted by Airdrie. They tried it down our left every time (which wasn't that often). Lionel's booking was a bit strange. Imrie went to waste time near the corner flag and won a shy. Left it for Lionel who was coming up from halfway and the ref booked him for timewasting. Edit: forgot to mention Rooney's shocker of a miss second half when he rounded the keeper then blazed it over. FWIW one guy on the Airdire forum says we're the best side to visit their place this season (or did he mean this year :004: ).
  24. Big Ross is a legend in my eyes but...... if it wasn't for one rash challenge he'd probably still be playing 'at a higher level' :024: Didn't Rossco get sent off before on his big day, maybe his 300th or something?
  25. Mark Viduka just hurled his boots Boaby is not surprised
