  1. And on the 18th November it's 9 years since Boner's tantrum when we thumped them 3-0. Who would have thunk it.
  2. Sigh..... have that Portugal game on video. Wonder if Pak Doo Ik is still playing.
  3. I'd be happier if he went back to work with Brew. Or maybe if they gave him the Rangers job :P
  4. I thought C(o)unty had finally admitted that they counted the eyes? Every away support that ever visited VP was mystified at how large the crowds were according to the announcement :P
  5. What were The Flaming Lips like? Janice Forsyth played a version of Yoshimi this morning. I'm sure she said it was recorded last night.
  6. I'm one of the "Palmerston 28' :rotflmao:   But that was a meaningless Tuesday night fixture and no supporters bus. Usually in div 1 we'd have 100-150 there. Very good welcome in the supporters' club. BTW I go via Moffat as opposed to Biggar, or Glasgow as the bus goes.
  7. I've never had that problem abroad Gordy. We walk into a restaurant and I'm rehearsing away in my best Spanish/French how to ask for a table for two, and they just clock my peely-wally skin and speak in English.
  8. More off topic...... Well I did hesitate over putting '20-25 years' to avoid sounding like one of those old buffers who says 'in my day' all the time No wonder international football is becoming completely pointless if you can't identify with your players. I started watching Scotland when we had Law, Dalglish, Gemmill, Holton, Jordan, McQueen, etc. My first game was when we beat the Czechs 2-1 to qualify for 1974. I would define a 'Scot' as somebody who's wanted to play for us since he was old enough to think. Not some mercenary such as Sullivan. Now the likes of Rioch - although he has an English accent, if I remember he was brought up by Scottish parents and only ever wanted to play for Scotland. Gough's different though I have to admit. BTW who was the defender we picked about 10 years ago, who was only Scottish on a technicality? Matt whatsisname. I heard an interview with him after he was chosen. All he could witter on about was his precious career and how it would be a challenge to step up to international level. Nothing about the fact that he would sweat blood to play for Scotland like most of us.
  9. Dear St Josephs School: God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your recent senior citizens luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at Grove Park , Home for the Aged. All of my family has passed away. I am all alone and I want to thank you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady. My roommate is 95 and has always had her own radio; but before I received one, She would never let me listen to hers, even when she was napping. The other day her radio fell off the nightstand and broke into a lot of pieces. It was awful and she was in tears.. She asked if she could listen to mine, and naturally I told her to f**k off. Thank you for that opportunity. Sincerely, Edna
  10. *Off-topic again!* That's not 'always' in my book....... it's only the past 10-15 years we've had to scrape the barrel and play non-Scots.
  11. That's me taken the plunge, first time since Pittodrie in 2004. Section G.
  12. That's you fecked for a lift next year, smartass. I hope your wife leaves you to go back to China and you can go back to Wan King.
  13. That's because Brew was such a good player it masked what a shyte manager he was. As soon as he stopped playing, we stopped winning.
  14. I think you're putting the cart before the horse. The Tories are the natural party of government in England. This is the place where UKIP and BNP can actually get people to vote for them. The only way Labour got elected was to rebrand themselves as 'New Labour' and pretend to be the Tories. Now Blair's gone and they're left with slightly less right-wing people, they're unelectable again.
  15. The sensible argument says you make your luck over a whole season, not over one game. If you think you have the right to argue that the whole season rested on one game, and that we blew it, then I have the right to say that we never got any luck in that one game. If Ross hadn't gone off, or had gone off later in the game, the chances are it would have ended in a draw. I'm not arguing for TB and MM as the Messiahs. I am saying if they'd been in place earlier, we'd still be up. I'm giving them a chance to do it with their own players for a season. If we're not challenging for promotion at the end, and if the football is rotten, then time's up. What is there to lose (apart from Motherwell nicking them of course)?
  16. Why not? Brewster effectively relegated us. The man was a chimp as a manager. I'll be going on about Brew till Butcher has had a decent chance to show that the club is going forward - say the whole of season 09-10. They were both awful? Well I know Brewster got 17 points from 23 games while Butcher got 20 from 15, which is certainly not relegation form.
  17. The Mantis

    Cis Cup

Yes, now get up to this one and break your duck.
  18. I think it's Sunny-D you mean Maimie.
  19. Like LG, can't believe I'm bothering. Great player, good coach, shocking manager. CB should have been punted after the Aberdeen game. A great Xmas pressie for us all. Edit: Brewster- 17 points from 23 games means 28 points per season. We would have been buried by mid april. Butcher - 20 points from 15 games means 50-51 points overall. Probably top six but safe anyway by mid April. Good wind-up though.
  20. I'll take 3 shares again Guzz. ***ETA - if you get too many takers you can reduce my number ***
  21. You pulling our pissers? I know North Americans have the reputation of being 'large' but who the feck buys a 2-litre oyster :026:
  22. 5 seasons? Sheesh....... does that mean snowball is 15 now?
  23. But it didn't make the hammer/nail interface Gordy. Wisnae me BTW :(
