  1. Don't know how the funding and staffing is gonna pan out. One thing that kept us in front of those tinkies all those years was that we always had the right people in place at our club while they went for jokes like Smith, Adams etc and threw money at the problem with Hateley and so on.... Baz is one of those people we should have at the club.
  2. 100 quid for that black thing and I have to put it away in a drawer now?
  3. The poor souls come here for the banter. If they post on their site they have to wait about 3 weeks for a reply.
  4. So we're all agreed then, it's magic getting relegated :021: :P :P :P :P
  5. It does worry me about what happened to Esson. I think Mikey's uncertainty in the games following the split was a factor in us not winning games. I think Motherwell are welcome to Mikey if we can keep Esson, but maybe we'll be stuck without a keeper if the rumours are true. As for Terry and June, well..... they have taken a short term strategy to keep us up (15 cup finals and all that pish). I would give them next season to see if there's progress. I think there's more room for young players like Vigurs in div 1. I certainly hope at SFL level we can dispense with all the desperate long ball rubbish. At a push, if it doesn't work I would actually fancy 10CC to do a decent job for us in div 1. Bottom line is, the football has been so pish for the last couple of years I'm looking forward to seeing us play a bit and maybe even with wingers. Is there still a place for Zander in that set-up?
  6. Butcher - 20 points in 15 games. Br*****r - 17 points in 23 games.
  7. Aye he's agood player but give it time, looking forward to him screwing up your club as a manager :D :(
  8. In all the years we've been in existence there's only been about 3 times when there was no bus, e.g. QOS on a Tuesday night end of season. We're not those tinky guys from over the bridge. Will I be there next season. What a silly question. Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back?
  9. Positives: Rossco gets to kick seven shades of shyte out of Brewster next year   :P
  10. Chibber in 'middle-aged' shocker :D Even with his own teeth and hair....... You're right about Amarillo though. Never want to hear that again.
  11. Why don't I just list all the players I've seen then, and you can pick which one's the best?
  12. Some people have mentioned world class players who were legends but were shite on the day they saw them. My vote would have to go to a true legend who actually showed his class - Johann Cruyff, who tore Rangers apart at Ibrox in 1973. Rangers at that time were a good side. I'd put Dalglish a ba'hair behind Cruyff as I saw him many times for Celtic and Scotland. I also saw Law, Johnstone, Moore, Charlton, Beckenbauer, etc, etc. But to be fair, I also saw Rangers - with players who were never big stars - easily beat Bayern which included 6 of the side which won the World Cup with West Germany, including Beckenbauer and Muller. Back then Scottish players could compete with the best. I saw Baxter and Best too, but they were both past it by then.
  13. That was the Howard. The Hunting Lodge is just across the road. See yis later on.
  14. Feck me, what a schedule. Best of luck to you all.
  15. Malky would make an excellent coach. Just pull his teeth out and put seats in.
  16. Royster used to be good on the wing in div 1 but he's too slow now. Having said that the pitch was terrible last night. In the SPL he's got the skill for centre mid but not the dig IMO. Put him at left back and drop big Lionel.
  17. Agree with all of that too. Got told off by Johndo at half time for sitting with the old farts so came up the back for the second half which was tremendous :021: Russell Duncan would have been crucified if his passing was as poor as Blackie's last night. Never tried the simple ball, always the killer one. Didn't see why Granty got booked and what the free kick was for.
  18. We were cutting it fine getting rid after the Hamilton game. I'm sure if he'd stayed much longer we'd be sunk already. Anyway, onwards and upwards :021: You have to hope the Midden get nothing on Saturday, OR we win........ anything else and we've got a cup final the following week. (and Falkirk have a cup final the week after :016: )
  19. Imrie actually nutmegged him (Hammell?) didn't he? Shame we couldn't pull it off as it would have meant we were safe. Still squeaky bum time. It's still looking like a massive game v Falkirk on the 23rd if you ask me. I hope it can get settled this weekend, don't know if we can all stand another week of this :021: :016: :crazy03: What was Granty's booking all about then?
  20. Feck me, they have everything on wiki these days.... I still have some fuzzy old videos of 'Only a Game?'.
  21. I played that game on a Spectrum. Couldn't tell you what the packaging was like mind you, because everybody at work had a pirate copy. If I remember rightly, it started around the same time as the radio version of 'only an excuse'. Totally off-topic, but can anybody remember how 'only an excuse' started?
  22. I believed since that first day against the tic. Wish Imrie hadnae had that fresh-air shot :thumb04: :018:
