  1. 2nd round Saturday 27th October. Whitehill Welfare v Golspie Sutherland Buckie Thistle v Nairn County Clachnacuddin or Edinburgh City v East Stirlingshire Cove Rangers v Keith Edinburgh University v Deveronvale Linlithgow Rose v Spartans Montrose v Pollok Forfar Athletic v Dumbarton Inverurie Loco Works v East Fife Selkirk v Dalbeattie Star Albion Rovers v Burntisland Shipyard Culter v Vale of Leithen Girvan v Stranraer Arbroath v Elgin City Threave Rovers v Stenhousemuir Annan Athletic v Fraserburgh or Huntly We've got a 6-pointer away to Gretna so I'll be at Fir Park that day. Clach looks a decent tie though if they can get through. A local derby for Stranraer :015:
  2. Denzil doesn't appear to work like that :015: He's a confidence player: it seems when he's hot, he scores every week. Then he gets an injury or a transfer(!) and starts from scratch again, not scoring for months :007: He took ages to score when he joined us from the Dons, then Hearts from us, and he's taken a while to settle again back at TCS.
  3. Strange how these things work out. Preston are on 2 points in the Premier after 2 games, a point behind Spartans, with Whitehill top on 6 points at the moment. The accepted wisdom down here IMO is that the East Seniors play better football than the juniors, but at a slower pace and less physical. (This is a bit similar to comparing Caley, County etc pre 1994, with the more physical but less skilful SFL teams who provided the opposition in the Cup.) More often than not I would say the seniors have better pitches than the juniors too. Gala and Vale of Leithen are both in div 1 and looked very poor to me - we'll see what the draw for the next round brings.
  4. Bound to be next Saturday at Meadowbank. I went to Vale of Leithen v Gala Fairydean. Pretty poor standard. Makes you appreciate the SPHell. My usual port of call would have been Whitehill. But this was the only tie in South East Scotland today- a derby in front of about 100- amazing how the draw sent all the local teams to North or South West.

  6. Aye, sadly Dee, as soon as you hit the woodwork you knew it would soon be time to switch channels......
  7. Just thought I would upset the mod/peeps balance again :023:
  8. In my day all we sang about was Bobby Moore and the bracelet :007:
  9. This round wasn't seeded then...
  10. They were separated at birth after all :029: :017: Are we still talking about Mee's ears here?
  11. The result seems to imply that we have a better squad than them but there'll be less in it if we both play our best XI. The boys better be up for it when we play them in the league at Fir Park in a few weeks.
  12. I don't suppose there's anywhere on the net you can access the commentary from BBC Radio Scotland? I just had a notion to use it as a ringtone :015: :015: :015:
  13. Why all the fuss about Barrowman? So far he's done no more than Iain Stewart.
  14. More important matters: Macaroni Pies :021: :021: :021: :021: :021: Steak & Gravy Pies :021: :021: :021: :021:
  15. There was a lot of talk of the gudgies being glad we left Cowie alone and took Rankin. Cowie's settled in very quickly too. Is it Chipper they call him? We'll have to get him a decent nickname. Mind you his old man was keen on winding up the Caley support :015:
  16. Mmmm, Haggis Chick or fish, Johnboy? Tough decision :023:
  17. I take it that was you posting on SoS this morning RiG (on the Hearts-Hibs love-in thread :015:)

No replays in the League Cup, so get ready for a long night and pens if necessary :017:
  19. Yep, well done to the wee County over the bridge. Top of the Highland League!

I think this is the first time I've ever been able to quote myself :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
  21. One thing I've discovered about Tumilty- he's very strict and doesn't seem to want any banter a la Willie Young. He's the guy who sent off Blackie at Falkirk (mind you so would anybody else). I think he's got the makings of a decent ref though- he's still pretty young. BTW Tumilty was the same ref who was in charge when we beat DUFC with a Dargo goal right at the death. I met him that night at a birthday party, that's how I remember it. So if we get a late goal every time he gets us, he's welcome :022:
  22. What a day I had :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07: Great craic in a full car coming up the road. A bottle of Ross-Shire's finest from the supporters' trust (cheers DJS), the messiah scores a late winner in his second coming, and I get my text read out on Traynor (what do you mean "who's the Mantis" you blimp :015: :015:). And I got a shot of Peter Paul's camera while he went for a pie. :015: :015: :015: Chances are I'll be on TV at the winner too after a crazy run down the front, what a sensible, respectable old chap :023: BTW ICT must be the only club in the world where the photographer gets his name chanted "Peter Paul, Peter Paul, Peter Paul":021: :021: :021:
  23. Is that based on inside info or just opinion? He's made one sub appearance this season.
  24. :rotflmao: Or Hello Hello, or Hail Hail of course.
  25. You should be happy enough with somebody inheriting your foreskin :014:
