  1. That, plus the fact that he is a former captain of Rangers FC and Celtic are your big team :001:
  2. Never saw you the day Mary. :001: Just a few random thoughts. Golly played like he'd never been away and even lasted the extra time. Granty!!!! Superb pen from Ross and good anes from Barrowman and Rooney. Terrible tired pen from Richie and a hurried one from Russeldinho. Cheeky wee tap in from Buchanan after we were giving him stick for diving - fair play to him keeping his nerve. Away support 185. No singing. If we had the good away support we've had the last 2 games the lads would have walked it. Our support matters. Lets give it for the rest of the season. Don't listen to wee jobbie McCall. It should have been 3-0 at half time. Don't blame the midfield. As long as we give them the ball at their feet we look very good. But all the second half was like the County game. The midfield watching it whooshing over their heads. I reckon the team need a bit of confidence to keep passing it. They only punt it when they're nervous. I thought we were going to see the game out at a very boring 1-0. Seconds before the goal Esson had a great save from Buchanan. Up till then I had thought they could play all day without creating a chance. After that they had us on the ropes, then the extra time was wide open and the game got more stretched with two sets of tired players. First half we were far too strong for them and all our experience at the back just mopped up anything they did. I feared wee jobby might make a difference at HT if we didn't kill the game off with another goal and so it proved. I've revised my opinion since the Dundee game. The BBC said it as well. The players are young and need to gel before we get any consistency. When I got back to the car I heard one guy (?) say he was pleasantly surprised by ICT considering what we've lost. I think Sanchez and Foran are worth persevering with and last week was a blip. Butcher IS setting the team up to pass the ball and he was giving them pelters in the second half.. They just have to believe they don't need to punt it. I don't think Rooney can do it for us and should be punted at Xmas. Barrowman was involved in a brilliant move seconds after coming on but sadly that's about it. Desperate to see what Eric can do, and looking forward to Imrie being let loose on some of these defences. Ross and Golly have stiffened the back four and we've come through a tough away fixture which we lost last time despite being two divisions higher. Good to see Blackie there in our end as well as Imrie. To everybody calling for Butcher's head: what's the worst that can happen? We're not going down - so the worst is that we don't compete for the title, in which case he can go at season's end. P.S. We've only once come away from there with a win - in August 98 when Barry gave us a 1-0 victory. The only other time we got a decent result was the 2-2 game in the cup which felt like a defeat anyway.
  3. It's nothing to do with the result. It was the performance. We took the game to them from the off and passed the ball to each other without humping it long. A bit like C(o)unty last week in fact. The bond between the team and the fans was obvious at the end of the game. We applauded them off the park for their efforts. TB and the players did the same to us. It's a shame the 95% of fans who only attend home games couldn't have seen it. If we're in the bottom half after playing everybody home and away, maybe that's the time to start moaning about the manager.
  4. Nobody else from Lothian & Borders ICT seems to be coming but I might roll up at Munn's on my own. Mind you I might not bother - what pees me off is, last time we visited Firhill, we were an SPL club. While a mate of mine was congratulating them on their win on penalties, loads of them were spitting on our buses and telling us to get out of their feckin city.
  5. What a shock that is. Nearly in tears here.
  6. I was in Calgary about 4 weeks ago. You should have placed an order :P
  7. Nice bit of doggerel Bluezulu, keep it coming. 1602 out of 2400 seats is only two thirds however! I'm sure we'll be there in force November 8th. Looking forward to it......
  8. The end of the game's the time for booing players roscoe. Maybe you think LDZ was playing badly deliberately? One thing's for sure, his confidence was shot to hell before he made the misplaced pass which led to the third goal and ended our comeback.
  9. Haven't been so gutted since Livi got relegated. Serious topics??????
  10. Never mind JB, sign up on overthebridge and you could make the 200th post there.
  11. We all know you couldn't fit yourself on the avatar Mind and get that camera now......
  12. Get tired of this! There is a finite space, two ways out, the busiest trunk road in the Highlands mobbed on the busiest shopping day of the week and our busiest crowd of the season. Most if not 95% of clubs don't give a toss if you have somewhere to park your car or not and leave you with the entire problem. Our club do far more than most and still get slaughtered. Leave the car and walk. Get a bus. Cycle. Get a lift. Camp. Don't take your car as you will be on here moaning! :025: :025: :025: :025: Agree totally. I parked at the dump around 1pm, left the car there for a fast getaway at full time and walked to the Innes (which takes maybe 15 mins). When we arrived about 2.40 displaying a priority windscreen notice the lassie attendant said that 100 Kingsmills club members had decided to turn up and 'they all brought their cars'. *EDITED to add, crossover posts, I'll watch the space Tichy B)
  13. I think you're doing your own team a disservice. Playing 4-5-1 they dominated the midfield and our lightweights were invisible. Mind you even if you had played 4-2-4 you could have dominated those guys. Sitting behind our goals you could see the back four shuttling it around looking for somebody to show and if they tried a short pass it was intercepted. So they just resorted to humping it. BTW it wasn't Caley you were playing. Caley would have given you a harder game.
  14. Spot on Dad.
  15. I'm not rushing to praise/criticise TB until he gets at least half the time that Brewster got. Progress for me this season would involve the club competing for the title. If we're in the bottom half then Terry and June can feck aff. Of course the club is worse off now - we've been relegated FFS. We don't have any dosh. If we'd scored an extra goal when we beat St Midden, if we'd held the lead against Well for 10 mins longer, if Tokes hadn't made that tackle against Falkirk, the list could go on and on. We were no worse over the season than St Midden or Falkirk, but somebody has to take the drop, and the club takes (probably) years to get over it. It's been pointed out on here that as mods we agonise over decisions as a group. Sometimes on Saturday nights very few if any mods are online - we have nearly 1900 members yet people moan that the site is over-moderated. The site is run by Scotty and Don at their own expense, plus a handful of trusted volunteers. The answer as ever is- try running your own forum if you don't like how it's done on this one.
  16. 'northensoul' :cheer01:
  17. Let it all out Specky mate, all your bitterness, let it out now! Enjoy your night. You must be traumatised after 15 years of ICT pishing all over Dingwall FC :cheer01:
  18. Do you think Dingwall FC will now wear the red shirts every time they want a lift, like the England team that won the World Cup?
  19. Also turning inside onto his right foot - which is really just for standing on. How many times today did he punt it right out of the park? Get Roy in at no 3 (or no 5 as the case may be).
  20. Well you certainly starred today Mr Observer. :( :( I think the players should all wear cow suits to the return match in Culbokie or wherever it is they play.
  21. That's the secret then! Just play the big teams. Avoid playing dross teams like Montrose and Dingwall :( :(
  22. Have to take your word for it, couldnae hear the C(o)unty fans from the North Stand, thought it was good craic today in section G. Still, 1602 away fans is welcome in this league, far more than most SPL clubs brought. Anyway the only reason I'm not slitting my wrists is cos I was at Dundee last week- maybe if I had only seen the two home games I would be topping myself. I honestly thought even if Lionel was too poor for the SPL he would still make a decent job in div 1. He was gash today and I would punt him for Roy or Dick. I would never boo a player while the game was going on though. Eagle and Stratford proved for me today they haven't got what it takes. I would always have Duncan in the team and I cannot believe the stick he takes from some people on here. Apart from his workrate, he bleeds ICT. I heard Imrie is not ready to come back for a couple of months, is this true? Cox was simply swamped by the wee team playing 5 in the middle. He's a good find. So is wee Jonny but he will have better days than today. I think Foran is fine but Sanchez was gutless. He did play well against Dundee but today it would be as well if we had Barrowman or brought back Rory as a trialist for all Sanchez did today. With Rosscoe coming back next week (surely!!!!!) I would be tempted to move Proctor forward and switch Jonny to the other wing, like what happened at Dens. I'm truly not sure about Bulvitis, I thought he was solid before. Give the wee village team their due, they well deserved their 3 points today. We never started and ten minutes later they scored. I honestly can't think of a worse first half, ever. So many 'what ifs' in the game for me, but overall we looked too nervous and tried to pass it into the net. The spell we had between their second and third goals, we actually had them on the ropes and Vigurs cleared off the line at 2-1 which would have turned the game. Then LDZ made another schoolboy error and it was game over. But no hard feelings, they were better by a mile for the other 70 minutes. C(o)unty were dire last week while we were good and Adams has got them fired up. With P*rt*ck winning 5-0 today, maybe it will be our turn to get them on the rebound next week. And I'm sure we can reverse it at Dingwall in November - the boot will be on the other foot then.
  23. ... and a free bus back to the Caley Club. Sounds OK to me.
  24. That'll be named after Jim Hamilton then. Legend.
  25. It's seeded isn't it, so we'll get an SPL team whatever.
