  1. I just want to get my avatar in again.
  2. Aye Calum, time for the operation now :018: :thumb04: Congrats to you both.
  3. So do I, I thought he was our best player against St Mirren and Motherwell, both away games. The rest seemed to give up as soon as we lost a goal.
  4. A mate of mine from work was there too (and I was there about 6 years ago when it was about ?24). But I was at Liverpool last May (against MCFC funnily enough) and it was ?36. The game was gash though, the only entertainment was the away support plus Torres' goal.
  5. Is that connected to your Denzil/Caff mix-up? :thumb04: :018:
  6. The Mantis kills another good thread :thumb04: :018:
  7. Before you get your coat- What does it take to become a teacher? At least 4 years of training. What does it take to become a parent? A working set of plumbing
  8. Guy went to my school so a wee bit disappointed but not surprised. More of an Alan Hansen, ball-playing centre half and not the big physical punt up the park player who will run all day, which Brew is filling the squad with. Not surprised to see that Ritchie Byrne has signed on the same day.
  9. Aiken Drum has a Wikipedia page There was a man lived in the moon, Lived in the moon, lived in the moon There was a man lived in the moon, And his name was Aiken Drum. Chorus And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle And he played upon a ladle, and his name was Aiken Drum. And his hat was made of good cream cheese, of good cream cheese, of good cream cheese, And his hat was made of good cream cheese And his name was Aiken Drum. Chorus And his coat was made of good roast beef, of good roast beef, of good roast beef, And his coat was made of good roast beef, And his name was Aiken Drum. Chorus And his buttons made of penny loaves, of penny loaves, of penny loaves, And his buttons made of penny loaves, And his name was Aiken Drum. Chorus And his breeches made of haggis bags of haggis bags, of haggis bags And his breeches made of haggis bags, and his name was Aiken Drum. Yes, I know, I'm a sad git......
  10. You can guarantee there'll be a good few of us from the south in carloads and off the train, but can anybody say if any buses are coming? The official supporters buses usually stop farther up the road for a break.
  11. Dear Douglas Congratulations on your report of (IC) Thistle v (Partick) Thistle in today's Herald, a national newspaper the last time I checked. Unfortunately I think you must mixed it up with the one you wrote for the PTFC fanzine, as I had to look at the scoreline at the top to find out that ICT, not PTFC, actually won the match by 3 goals. In fact, had it not been for the scoreline, I would have had great difficulty finding out who PTFC were actually playing. Now that you've been informed of your mistake, I look forward to reading the actual match report in my Herald tomorrow. Happy to help! JB
  12. I must admit I nearly choked over my cornflakes this morning when I read the Herald. If it wasn't for the score at the top you would have a problem working out who 'Thistle' were playing. Wonder if the guy had his scarf on in the press box.
  13. I'd forgotten what these arrogant tawts are like. As somebody once said on P&B (well once every day as it happens) 'why are PTFC fans so obsessed with the size of everybody else's support?'
  14. Any wee team away. Like County. What's that? They're out? Never! :thumb04: :018: ;) :015: :D :P :021: :D :D :D
  15. Yeah, lets enjoy it and take a good support down next week. Must admit I love to get one over on those patronising luvvies. First time we've beaten them in the Scottish in 3 attempts.
  16. When's the last time we scored 3? Even I'm not that old.
  17. They still own Firs Park John but hadn't the funds to bring the place up to required safety standards. They have signed a five year agreement to groundshare with Stennie and hope to raise funds in that time. Never realised that - cheers.
  18. I remember reading the same thing in this morning's Herald.
  19. TBH it's quite a pleasant walk if you come out the station, turn right along Academy Street and keep walking. It doesn't take that long either. On the way you'll pass Innes St where all the sophisticated people drink. Avoid all the nasty Rangers pubs nearby though
  20. Ouch! Shame it hasn't helped you grasp the concept of percentages though.....
  21. Hey I really miss that, a few jars at the National Hotel, then along the road and stuff the Thinks. Also the double deckers we used to run from the Caley Club and the singing on them in the middle of the bridge after we'd dished out yet another hammering.
  22. I wondered that myself - last night the BBC did a piece on them but they were training at Firs Park. A place which of course holds a few memories for long term ICT fans.....
  23. Googled 'PTFC' and got an acronym site 'Portland Timbers Football Club' plus some other lot from Glasgow. Then tried ICT and got 66 entries but not one was ours so I added it......
