  1. Can't really argue with much of that. A fair lot has been said already on other threads though. Nobody has mentioned Rossco got a yellow just before the start of the second half. In the quiet of your Travelodge? I think you should redraft that sentence :thumb04:
  2. I always thought Leakey was a miserable git and his prices appeared higher than Edinburgh. Since I don't live in the Sneck I never took him any books but I saw him deal with somebody once who had a pile of books and I felt sorry for the poor guy who got a few measly pence for a couple of them and had to cart the rest away again Also, pure gossip, but I got a couple of lovely Neil Gunn signed copies from the woman in the market once. I accidentally got her onto the subject of Leakey and she didn't half go into a rant :thumb04:
  3. Seen all 3 cup ties and would have no problem if Esson was kept in the team. If anything I think his experience makes him a shade better than Mikey but Mikey has certainly learned a lot over the past 2 years and has time on his side. Also is Esson a bit taller?
  4. I don't know how much longer I can bear watching that sort of pish.
  5. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. What a shyte second half that was. Clueless. Frozen. I'm away to my bed.
  6. I just have a nasty nagging memory that we DO lose every time people start talking about the next round.....
  7. 1934-5 Caley 1 Clach 3 1971-2 Thistle 3 Caley 4 1977-8 Caley 5 Thistle 0
  8. Here we go. People talking about the next round already......
  9. I've got a dental appointment for Thurs 20th November. You can have that if it helps
  10. That's out of order! Addicts don't need shrinks, they need the support of everyone around them at all times until they can control their addiction. Steve is already confronting his demons face to face and I for one commend him. Good luck Steve, Haste Ye Back! Sorry, that kind of came out wrong (or you're reading too much into it). For shrink read 'motivator'. I really meant I would have Pele back, but I don't think he'd be up for the challenge. Nothing to do with addiction.
  11. Scotland's such a small place, no manager is ever prepared to say a bad word about any other manager despite what he really thinks. What about Pele plus the cost of a shrink?
  12. What Stan means is we're turning into Americans
  13. I'm sure you'll find somebody going back to Edinburgh in the away support. I would say you'll be about half an hour jogging back to Grahamston.
  14. Aye, PC Coutts, stocked the Caley strip. Shetland Originals on the corner of Bridge Street. Clive Rowland the outdoor shop long before Tisos or Nevisport arrived. Leakey the bookshop in the market before he moved to the Greig St bridge. Melvens bookshop. L. Gavin's. All those highland outfitters and gun and saddle shops. Going out past the Caley Park by Muir of Ord before the bridge was built. Ach I know that was before 1994, I'm getting carried away :thumb04: :018:
  15. So hard to remember - first single could have been 'Maggie May' or 'My Sweet Lord'. There was a bit of snobbery back then, people often refused to buy singles as they were too poppy. First album was probably something by ELP. Either 'Tarkus' bought off a mate or 'Trilogy' bought new.
  16. Well no point in repeating myself then :thumb04: :018: ;)
  17. Aye we should have had them buried. You could argue that we should have won the other two games but we shot ourselves in the foot. At Ayr Rossco scores then gets sent off for being wound up by Pat Mcginlay. At Aberdeen we have most of the ball but gift 3 of the most farcical goals I've ever seen.
  18. Ah well it's down to all the central belters then So if I recall, we lost 4-1 at Pittodrie, 5-1 at Ayr and 2-1 aet at Livi. Is that all the quarters we've been in?
  19. Sorry to hijack your thread Smee, with me a mod an' all, rap on the knuckles. Done an edit for you. Dee, I would go an see Wishbone. Me & Naelifts went to see them this year. A bit light on the old back catalogue it has to be said, but a decent night just the same. Rod the Mod - never seen him since the merger Seriously though, Rod and the Faces were great, it's just he went soft in the mid 70s. I blame it all on Britt Ekland....
  20. For some of us, our teenage years are a bit hard to remember. Also counting to five gets a bit harder as you get older..... Mott the Hoople - Mott Wings - Band on the Run Yes - The Yes Album ELP - Trilogy Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells Special mention to: Rick Wakeman - Six Wives of Henry VIII ELP - Brain Salad Surgery Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells a Story Alice Cooper - Killer CSNY - Deja-Vu Deep Purple - In Rock Led Zeppelin - 3 ELO - Eldorado Focus - Moving Waves Genesis - Selling England by the Pound John Lennon - Imagine Paul McCartney - Ram Ian Hunter - Ian Hunter Jethro Tull - Aqualung Lindisfarne - Fog on the Tyne Paul Simon - Paul Simon P.F.M. - Cook Queen - Sheer Heart Attack Wishbone Ash - Argus David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks Also one or two cheats since I was probably too old/young to be a teenager at the time: Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here Beatles - Revolver Steve Forbert - Alive on Arrival Boomtown Rats - Tonic For the Troops Stranglers - Rattus Norvegicus Kate Bush - The Kick Inside Meat Loaf - Bat out of Hell
  21. You must be a very wise teenager given your other four
  22. Livi? Nah, I don't believe it for a minute BTW I was in Gretna yesterday so went by the stadium to see if it was still there. Are they carrying on in another league or waiting for a buyer to turn it into houses or what? Anybody know?
  23. Hate to sound like a Jonah but we're only 3 points off the bottom with Motherwell coming up followed by Rangers.
