  1. No need to shout, people in the main stand are trying to sleep
  2. I agree totally Ross :021: :021: :021: :021:
  3. I'd probably agree with your post but I can't understand it :015:
  4. Victor Meldrew? Moi? It's Clegg I'll have you know :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  5. Och I KNOW that But even when they're up to their knees in Ayr blood :015: :015: which they're only singing tongue in cheek anyway (because it's like another ditty with something that rhymes with 'killie') you're not serious that there's actually any venom in it.....
  6. No they wouldn't, they'd lose the championship by a point.
  7. Heard the great man singing it in person about 3 weeks ago :015: Me & Yngwie off to Aussie Pink Floyd tonight :022:
  8. Feck me, I was looking forward to retiring in 2015 as well :019:
  9. Well I'll be watching the mighty ICT myself but I don't live in Sneck so I can see your point. A wee part of me wants to see County upset the Gretna bottlewagon. It's not in County's own hands to stay up though, as even if they beat £retna I'm sure Airdrie will be fighting for their lives at QOS. I wish we could have a bit of that last-day action in the SPL, the first division is the place to be next week for sure.
  10. Yes it will. I've been watching it since 1966 and the trend is like American baseball. A few super rich elite clubs then absolute dross at the next layer down.
  11. That's been argued to death before Clacher. They hate us because we are better. Similarly Ayr sing nothing but anti-Killie songs but Killie never give Ayr a thought. It's the same the world over, there's only a two-way rivalry if the teams are close (like Hibs & Hearts). On the County board it's obvious many of them still have a 'big' team but here you would get slagged off for that. Personally I used to pish myself if County lost (but now they're so bad it's no longer funny), and I still find myself laughing if they go a goal behind (can't help it) but for business reasons my head wants them to stay up, and full time. Even at our games, you used to get a wee cheer at half time if County were behind, but now nobody gives a.
  12. Richard, your patter's rotten. I think it was after the time the OF invaded the pitch and had a punch-up at the 1980 cup final. Mind you I was at a game in Luzern a few years ago and every time something happened on the pitch you got drenched in lager (from plastic tumblers)- just like the Barrowlands it was. In Scotland people just drank from cans so you never got beer over you, but then they pished in the empty can and either rolled it down the terracing (if you were lucky) or flung it over your head on to the pitch if there was a flare up. At Kingsmills I think it was babycham they chucked.
  13. You must have been old enough to get blootered CMIB if that's the team as you remember it :023: And Charles, remarkably, now I think about it, I must have literally been a twinkle in my father's eye at the time, as it was 9 months later that the famous mandibles first saw the light of day :015: Anyway, the gospel according to Alex Main's book is: CALEDONIAN: Smith, Morrison, Doc Mackenzie, Bolt, Farmer, Mackintosh, Macfarlane, Baillie, Forrest, D. Mackenzie, Main. CELTIC: Bonnar, Haughney, Fallon, Evans, Stein, Ryan (Baillie sub), Tully, Boden, Walsh, Fernie, Mochan. Maybe Caley stars like Jupie Mitchell and Peter Mackinnon had to work that day? Otherwise Caley would have slaughtered them....
  14. I believe Charles Bannerman sclimmed over the wall at this game and collected a few empty bottles. I wasn't born at the time, but my Caley book says it was October 1954, a Monday holiday. Caley's stand burned down along with a lot of the club's history in 1950. Crowd was about 5000, score was 2-2 with a typical Caley fighting performance, coming back from 2 down. Alex Main and Baillie scored for Caley, Evans and Walsh for the tims, who also had Jock Stein, Charlie Tully, Willie Fernie and Neil Mochan in what looked like a strong visiting team.
  15. Good news for Bonzo though :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  16. Yeah but it's not that long since we were all posting shirts HERE
  17. You knew I was proud anyway young fella, just like a son to me (well obviously you ain't got my looks but you know what I mean).
  18. New Working Day- Steve Forbert
  19. Gringo's jokes in 'turn for the better' shocker! :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  20. FT Dees 3-2 County, P*r*i*c*k 0-0 QOS, Clyde 0-1 Airdrie. Never mind the playoffs, they'll be bottom at this rate...
  21. Just as well Jack Nicklaus has retired then.
