  1. IMO to develop as a better all round player and fulfill his undoubted potential Liam Polworh needs to move on. I think he has stagnated as player over the last couple of seasons never really nailing down his preferred central midfield position under any of the four managers he has played under. Obviously would hate to see him go but think now is the right time to try and forward his career.
  2. Need to inject some pace , width and urgency into our play , today was so predictable Ayr never looked in any real danger of conceding. Hopefully Walsh can kick on ,had some decent touches but seemed to fade second half , personally I would like to see Ricky Calder given a run of games in front of Tremarco never really given much of an opportunity last season.
  3. First time I have heard a team booed off on the opening day of the season at home. Gonna be long one I feel. Never really looked like scoring today although some decent balls into the box from the 2 full backs but other than that there was very little to get excited about. Think central midfield is gonna be a problem , not to sure about Chalmers and Trafford although the latter works hard . No pace or guile cannot see how they are going to hurt teams , best option was when Donaldson carried the ball out from the back. Early days yet but need to improve quickly .

    Hearts Game

Obviously playing HL teams not the ideal preparation for pre season needs sorting now
  5. Some of the stuff we played today was a joy to watch completely dominated the game in all areas. Difficult to single out anybody in particular but Vigurs was class today ran the game.
  6. Absolutely woeful attempt at organising end of season presentation. Cringed in embarrassment for the players who came back out in front of maybe 100 fans who bothered to stay. Only the Chairman spoke but actually said nothing of consequence while no words from the manager , club captain or any of the guys who won the awards. Bizarrely last year was more upbeat. Appreciate the goal in the 96 minute sucked the life out of any celebrations but that was woeful. As for the voting slips they were around the main stand bar area but you had to hunt for them amongst the empty napkins , used tea bags and empty beer glasses. Terrible attempt by someone just going through the motions who has been given the gig of organising the supporters player of the year.
  7. No but today we could have gone some way to putting it right, it s obvious a lack of discipline has been a major factor in our mediocre season .
  8. At least 3 or 4 soft free kicks in the last 6 minutes seemed the referee was determined to give the Pars the little help that they needed. Although it's fair to say the resulting goal was not very well defended on our part and we invited them onto us by sitting so deep as the game wore on. Thought we might have seen Mulraney towards the end try and stretch them a bit at the back. . Pretty f****ed off at the moment, stayed for the presentations that nobody really looked that interested in. Not surprising really.
  9. What about Graeme Shinnie , granted he joined us at 17 but came through the youth set up before going out on loan at Forres. He has to be one of the best we developed .
  10. Vigurs is a top player and at the peak of his career and is to good for the level he is currently playing at. Really hope we can convince him that his future lies with us but as a Championship club this could prove evermore difficult.
  11. Massive difference when we play with width and pace . Thought both fullbacks played really well getting forward. Calder maybe sold himself for the Dumbarton goal but after that he never put a foot wrong and was always looking to be involved while whipping in some dangerous crosses and was MOTM for me , just shading George whose work rate was phenomenal.
  12. Not negative at all just being a realist. Things have picked up a wee bit over the last couple of weeks but overall we have underperformed and it if wasn't, for Ridgers our season and any talk of play offs would be already over. Anything other than top four has to be seen as a failure with the squad we have.Plenty of talk on how,JR inherited a depleted squad but I don't see that at all . Other than Draper and Tansey (possibly Fisher) the players that left were squad players at best, he still has had around a lot of premiership experience to call on.
  13. Agree the standard of refereeing is pretty appalling but let's not forget the players who think nothing of going to ground far to easily to gain an advantage. All teams I have seen this season have been guilty, some more than others. So as much as the referee and linesman are pretty useless the players and managers do not help their cause one bit and TBH it's nearly every game there is a wrong decision given as a player falls to the floor theatrically after being brushed on the shoulder.
  14. Plenty of words but no substance or facts on how it has all gone downhill so quickly from a person who gives the impression that he is in the know. The reality is we are closer to the relegation playoffs than promotion and to me that is under achieving.
  15. Absolutely correct. Appreciate every pound counts but not providing the basic facilities is hardly going to improve things. Fecking embarrassing that there were no facilities open for the travelling away support yesterday. Thought bringing in Danny Macdonald was going to improve things off the field , no evidence yet.
  16. FFS are you for real . The dizzy heights of winning the Scottish Cup and competing with the likes of Aberdeen and Celtic on a regular basis but you would sooner see us being spanked at home by Morton and struggling in the Championship.
  17. No ,this season should have been about going straight back up or at the very least making the top four. Cannot see how it can be classed as a season of rebuilding when come next season if we are still a Championship club we will no doubt have to trim the budget yet again. That probably means losing the likes of Vigurs and Polworth.
  18. Under soil heating ? Was that not installed years ago so why is it a problem now ?
  19. That was truly awful as bad as anything Foran delivered last year against far weaker opposition. We should be doing much better than where we are and under achieving massively. Today we were lacklustre and second to nearly every ball. Thank f***k for Brechin is all I can say.
  20. Plenty of the ball in the first half we need to take our chances . Have to agree why oh why bring on two of our biggest under achievers when we are chasing the game . Poor and predictable substitutions that had absolutely no effect on the game. Should have been bolder and got young Mackay on a lot sooner than the last 5 mins
  21. Absolute scandal Vigurs was booked . Agree on some occasions he,s been his own worst enemy but today FFS that was just plain nonsense booked for being pushed to the ground. Agreed we seemed to lose our shape when we took off Bell and Vigurs. Plenty of good performances today but for me Calder and Donaldson were stand outs..
  22. Are they my season ticket is there and I have heard nothing to that effect even though the club have been selling my seat to away fans since last December
  23. Connor Bell looks like a decent striker if he could get off the bench and start some games again.
  24. 3rd cancellation in as many weeks.
