  1. Yep onto a loser before we kicked a ball. Tremarco receives the ball out wide on the half way line and has absolutely nobody in front of him to pass to ,so has to either punt it or try and run the length of the St Johnstone half to try and get a cross in. Terrible formation and tactics from a desperate manager.
  2. Clear out from top to bottom required , personalities been around the club to long going through the motions achieving nothing. First team in turmoil , development squad struggling at the bottom , crowds well below 3000 we need some new ideas to try and take us forward
  3. And............ You could also have added G Shinnie and Nick Ross if you had wanted to, but the point remains we should be trying to bring through more young players and not stifle their progress by filling the first team squad with journeymen . We need to try and find a better balance.
  4. Totally agree with the journeyman piece, it somehow worked for Butcher but we need to try and develop our own young players. Since we have been an SPL club you could probably count on one hand the amount of young players that have made an impact on the first team. Having next to no knowledge of the development squad who will make the step up next year? Who is the next Ryan Christie ?
  5. Not sure what you mean about other results going against us. To be honest this season I think we have been very fortunate that with only 4 wins we are still within touching distance of the clubs that are above us. The form we have been in, it is a minor miracle that it is now April and we haven't been cut loose at the bottom. Still hope..... starting with a home win on Saturday.
  6. Unfortunately cannot disagree with anything that is said there. During our most successful period of cup runs, top six finishes, dabble in europe nothing has changed on or off the park. There has been little or no investment in the stadium since the 2 temporary stands went up, and we still cannot seem to manage our best marketable assets the players to our financial advantage. Maybe we need to be less reliant on the income from Saturday games and explore other avenues of making money. Biggest disappointment for me however is all the empty seats every other Saturday. Where have 500 -1000 fans gone ? We probably have a hardcore of no more than 2500 supporters which to be fair is not much more than when we used to play our 'home games' through in Aberdeen.
  7. Now is not the time to try and turn Tremarco and Raven into marauding wing backs, Both are good solid full backs and to ask them to get up and down the wings and create mayhem for the full 90 minutes, it aint gonna happen. So basically we end up playing 5 defenders and 2 holding midfield players in Tansey and Draper whose natural game is to sit front of the defence. No wonder we struggle to create and more often than not go for the big hoof for Mckay to try and chase down. Good formation to play away at Celtic when trying to keep the score respectable but at home against St Johnstone please not...................4-4-2 with either Fisher/Ebbe or Boden supporting Billy Mckay please.
  8. The starting line up put us on the back foot straight away , no ambition to try and win the match other than the last 5 minutes. Maybe given Aberdeen to much to respect.
  9. Thought McCart had settled in pretty well done nothing wrong but left out maybe injured. Not a lot of pace amongst that starting 11 good to see Polworth back though
  10. The buck stops with the board who appointed an ex player with absolutely no managerial experience to carry the can for themselves after being allegedly turned over(financially) by John Hughes. Whether JH was still on the payroll after he left I have no idea, but RF appointment was a knee jerk reaction to the boards mismanagement of JH and now we are reaping the rewards.
  11. As the new strip will be launched next month do we have any idea of the design. Hopefully we will continue with traditional red and blues stripes and the official club crest, We need to preserve our identity and I believe some of the previous Errea shirts mainly blue with bits of red and white didn't do that. So whoever has the final say, please get this right.
  12. Agree with almost all of that , think Raven has really excelled as a left back . Mulraney .... What can you say ,shows so much promise but delivers very little. Could be one our best but needs to start showing a consistent run of form .
  13. Positive for me today was David Raven who I thought performed really well at left back and got some decent crosses in the first half and offered decent support going forward. I think we lost this outlet when Foran switched him back to the right hand side Negative other than the result was that wee erse Jones he is one cheating little ***** Good to see also that Kriss Boyd has lost none of his blistering pace and work rate, made the reserve Sutton Utd keeper look slimline.
  14. Seriously we do not need a graph to tell us we are under achieving, 4 wins all season sez it all does it not. As for your financial theory we will just ignore St Johnston who not only survive on worse gates than us but prosper every year
  15. What has that got to do with us not being good enough to beat a bang average Kilmarnock team . We are bottom for a reason and it's got feck all to do with St Johnstone.
  16. At least we have been spared the usual ***** of he's moving on to improve his international prospects .
  17. Absolutely brutal again today huff and puff with no end product . This was a game for the taking but yet again Foran decided to isolate Billy's Mackay by going one up . We can't buy a win yet he chops and changes formations but stubbornly refuses to use either of the 3 front players we have Ebbe Fisher or Boden why the feck is this. FFS we need to try something different , time is running out a draw and not losing is not an option anymore. Also wtf is the point of bringing on a player with only 3 mins to go ?
  18. Speak for yourself, I have plenty of ill feeling towards Aberdeen they have unsettled one our key players during a crucial part of the season, a deal that could have waited until the end of the season, No idea what the relevance of buying a house is either.
  19. The issue here is Aberdeen are ripping the p*** and there is absolutely nothing we can co about it ..............again.
  20. Feck this...... forget what I said about putting differences to one side, get Tansey out the starting 11 and Polworth in.
  21. Terrible news, at a terrible time this should have been kept under wraps until the end of the season. Hardly going to galvanise the dressing room is it, one player guaranteed top flight football and big wages, the rest scrapping for their future. Couldn't make it up.
  22. Same 10 with Polworth making way for Fisher in a straight 442. We need to have a presence up front to support Billy Mackay. Time for any alleged differences to be put to one side until the end of the season.
  23. Obviously not enough creativity to win matches or we wouldn't be languishing at the bottom having won only 4 matches all season, Setting up with 5 defenders at home imo is not taking the initiative to try and win a game of football and put together a run of winning results. You seem to imply that you are happy with the way things are progressing and the tactics and formation are bang on, which you are perfectly entitled to do. Me I am not so sure.
