Glad to hear that Leigh Griffiths has been ruled out for this game. He is a definite threat to most teams in the SPL, hopefully it nullifies the goalscoring edge that Hibs have had recently
  2. Glad to see the injury is not as bad as first feared. Hope he's back fighting fit soon. The international break may help us in that he hopefully wont miss too many SPL games

King out for 2 months according to todays Press and Journal. Needs an ankle operation, surprisingly enough its not on the ankle thats currently injured. Its his other one (which has been injured in the past). The op sounds like a wash out procedure to get rid of chipped bone fragments Not good news at all. We really need Hogg back asap. We're up the creek if anything happens to Warren or Meekings. Anyone know if Brisden Hall can play centre half? Might be a bit on the small side to deal with high balls
  4. I have to say after the 4-6-0 formation fiasco last year I struggled to bring myself to the conclusion that i would give him another few games to win me over. That clearly hasnt happened and our qualification dreams are almost completely over after 2 games. He has really puzzled me with some bizarre formations, line-ups, substitutions and press conferences that suggest he has no idea what he's doing Did a fine job with Dundee United but clearly out of his depth at international level

Would be happy to see that team but in a 4-4-2 line up with Doran, Draper, Shinnie, Pepper in midfield with Oswell and McKay up front Chances of ever seeing us going with that are slim to none unfortunately Anyone know when King is due back?
  6. Glad to see the club doing this, hopefully can bring a few potential fans back from the dark side. Disappointing to see that a school within walking distance of the stadium has 'many' C#unty fans though

Its amazing how a gadgiecoff's wind up can result in such bickering between our fans. First no milk for our players then no fans at our hospitality. Both were proven completely untrue so for this to still be rumbling on means their fishing trip was a pretty successful one. Certainly hooked a lot of folk on here
  8. You cant directly compare Rhodes to Fletcher because they are playing in completely different leagues, in different teams and for different managers. Fletcher is clearly more accomplished in that he has a decent scoring record for mediocre teams in the EPL. No other Scottish striker is at this standard at present. At present IMO Scotlands strongest strikers IMO are (in order) something like this: Fletcher, Mackie, Rhodes, Miller, Russell, McCormack, Goodwillie For the avoidance of doubt i'm classing Maloney and Snodgrass as midfielders Fletcher might not have acted professionally with regards to his text about selection availability however we live in a world of football where egos and arrogance is part and parcel. Levein should be man enough to deal with this in a professional manner which does not affect the strength/success of the team. Is the Scotland team stronger with Fletcher in it? I would say yes. This boils down to Levein's ego and stubbornness and he does not want to step down. This whole situation smacks of two egos trying to get one over on each other. For the good of the Scotland team we need our best players available to us, what we don't need is petty squabbles and male bravado taking precedence
  9. we herd you the first time people on this thread need to give themselves a good shake!! Mines a strawberry
  10. i thought the exact same thing RiG. Im all for him failing miserably down there if it means we get him back!
  11. Great to see that our youth team is getting on a lot better than in years previous Anyone know the team? Would be good if the two new left sided players on our books got some game time to get their match fitness up to scratch
  12. There will be goals, whether we can score more than them will be the question. I certainly hope so
  13. Looks like MacGregor is fit to play so that is a bonus I agree about the Levein/Fletcher feud. Can only go by whats in the press but it sounds like a battle of egos with neither wanting to back down
  14. papers today saying 3 months out at least. Not good. Could really do with him back playing asap
  15. How long is he out for?
  16. Delighted to see Butcher taking it so seriously Really hope he has the lads fired up for this one
  17. Exactly. For every Darren Mackie there is a David Davis For any player to have interested Arsene Wenger or his scouts enough to sign for them then there must be more than a splash of potential. If we can help these youngsters realise that potential whilst supplementing our squad then i'm all for it
  18. Easy to laugh at others but i'll hold off to see whether we can get through tonights tricky fixture
  19. Some debut for Brown, picking the ball out of the net 4 times!! But from what i'm hearing it could have been worse if he hadnt made a few important saves
  20. The only way this club is going to grow is by increasing revenue. Cup runs can be a huge boost to clubs so i think it is extremely important to our club that we go as far in this competition as possible to gain some much needed money. Strongest team possible for me and even then we are going to have to improve drastically from last weekend to progress. last nights results go to show that this competition should not be taken lightly Foran serves the second game of his suspension tonight but Tudor-Jones is back in contention for a place
  21. Fair point, I certainly hope so
  22. 1 year deal, not a loan. His contract at Hibs had expired
  23. As much as i'd love to think we were looking to add to the squad I read this in todays courier:
  24. Anyone heard anything official about how serious his injury is? Todays Scottish Sun is saying it was a dislocated shoulder and it will be 2 months out, no idea whether this is the case or not as there is no information coming from the club With such a small squad we really cant afford to have any injuries. Really need him back playing asap
