  1. great news!! delighted to hear that all our games will be broadcast, letting more folk hear how we are getting on should hopefully increase interest in our club and hopefully gain us some new fans
  2. Just the league?? "F**k you Dundee your gonna win f**k all! your gonna win f**k all!! your gonna win f**k all!!"
  3. Really hope we are allowed to have a set-up similar to last season, i can see how it might be difficult given on the rights issues in the SPL It was great to have highlights so readily available last year Kudos to all who made it happen last season, everyone i spoke to about the highlights being available online thought it was great
  4. I dont think anyone did Wonder whats behind it
  5. The name definitely rings a bell but i cant think if its for good or bad reasons. Can anyone give any info on the whistler for this weekend?
  6. Bougherra IMO the best centre half in the league and a position we could definately do with strengthening
  7. Couldnt agree more. Well said!
  8. At this early stage the only benchmark we have to compare ourselves against other teams is this: ICT 0-0 Valladolid Killie 0-0 Valladolid St J 1-0 Valladolid Can't read too much into it at all, but it certainly doesn't provide me with any grounds for optimism of a top 6 place for us. Your totally right, the Valladolid games are the only benchmark for comparison but given that it is a pre-season match it doesnt make a very fair basis to gauge how we shall do this season. We are still strying out different players in different positions and were missing two of our most influential players. I honestly dont think we can even hazard to predict what position we shall finish until we have played a few games. It shall be interesting to see how our 4-2-3-1 formation works and whether our younger/less experienced players are cut out for the SPL. Even once we get a few games under our belts it'll be tough to predict how we'll do. Last season we all saw how easy things can change in football, we were so far behind in the league and managed to turn things around.
  9. I bet theyre glad about that if his debut is anything to go by!
  10. i'd be happy with that celtic and dundee untied to start the season, not easy at all
  11. What a debut he had! Gave away a penalty and then sent off!! :oops01:
  12. Of course its not us they're interested in, celtic are a global brand and draw interest form all over the world but there are two teams playing on saturday and by putting on a good performance this weekend hopefully our reputation shall be enhanced by the exposure we get. For me it doesnt matter if we piggy back on the popularity of the bigger clubs because IMO it can only benefit us.
  13. HT: Inverness 1-1 Celtic FT: Inverness 1-2 Celtic 1st scorer ICT: Foran 1st scorer Opp: Samaras Crowd: 7150
  14. I'd agree with that, we have had a good pre-season but lets not count our chickens

    Nick Ross

I too am a fan of Ross and have high hopes for him in the future. I think he shall be a cracking player for ICT further down the line however i by no means think he is the finished article nor am i sure he is ready to be a first team regular. There is still a lot to add to his game and i just hope that if he is thrown in against celtic that the occasion doesnt prove too much for him. What we have to remember is that he is only 18 and this weekends game is going to be a huge occasion for the younger and less experienced players. By the looks of articles in the papers, Hayes was itching to get a game on saturday and hopefully gets some game time against Clach this week. I reckon Butcher will probably start with Hayes and Foran and while not 100% fit i think adrenalin should take them through the majority of the game, can see Ross coming on late in the game when legs begin to get heavy
  16. Put simply the best or most successful clubs do not always have the best youth system. In the EPL, West Ham have long been considered to have one of the best youth systems in the country, their on field status doesnt match the status of their youth system. The same can be said for Leeds and Ipswich who have great youth systems but are not considered top english clubs ATM Bigger club or higher league does not always equal better youth system
  17. Just spotted this:
  18. article up on the ICT official site here Really hammers home what it means to be in the top league in the country and reminds me how far we have come since in our short history 40 countries showing the game either live or highlights, thats incredible and an amazing global audience where we can showcase that we deserve to be in the top league. Can only benefit the club as the exposure we will get will be vast and potentially huegely beneficial! Makes me proud to be an ICT fan, cant wait for next saturday, bring it on!!
  19. Spot on Its way OTT to say its an embarassment to the club that our new announcer is finding his feet. Give him a chance!!
  20. I didn't think these two contributed much this afternoon. Correction.... I don't think they contributed anything this afternoon. despite doing little in the first half I think Blumanshtein played better in the second half and had some very good set pieces however want to see a lot more from him. I think it'll take him a while to get used to our system and whats being asked of him Sanchez was pretty anonymous today but i think that is because he's not a wide player.
  21. spot on. but with Blumanshtein and Sanchez on the bench too. 7 subs this year IIRC?
  22. your fans were great, sung their hearts out and looked like they really enjoyed themselves. Made more noise than ive heard from an away support in a long time. Puts a lot of travelling SPL teams supporters to shame thanks ! You see: We didn't lie :_thumbup: indeed! was suprised to see so many fans and to hear so much noise from them. Our choir were ................... erm................. at home practising for next week :023: conga was brilliant :025:

    McBain

Spot on, completely agree. Might not have the physical presence of a defender but has a very good footballing brain and positional sense. I feel he would have been a much more reliable left back than LDZ Offers great cover as a left back, defensive left midfielder, central midfielder or as a holding midfielder came on for Duncan today in the holding role and looked very comfortable A loyal player who still has an important role to play at ICT
  24. me +1
  25. we really do miss their creativity. Ross did pretty well today, played some nice passes and some good crosses. Sanchez and Blumanshtein dont appear to be dangerous enough out on the wing. The one thing i'll say about Ross however is that he still looks a bit lightweight at times. i think once he's bulked up a little he should be able to compete better against big defenders Was delighted to see Foran make an appearance, a game changing one at that, given that he managed game time today i hope that he can get more minutes against clach next week and really hope that Hayes can get some game time going into the Celtic game.
