Straight swap. Odi playing in hole Gil has looked a lot better second half. Good run, beat his man and exceptional pass for Odi through one on one but touch is too heavy.
-
Danni off for odi
-
Yeah big blonde centre half for Antwerp went of about 5 minutes before half time. Good free kick from Gil forcing keeper to palm away. Gil's set pieces have looked good
-
Proctor defending well against a very big centre forward
-
Volley from Cox 25 yards out. Goes wide
-
Ross has played very well on the left. Tackling well, beating his man and passing well So far an impressive display from Ross. Looks most likely to create something
-
Pretty physical game. Lot of fouls breaking up play. Gillet and their big number 4 have shared a few meaty challenges. Ross and Gillet are linking very well on the left
-
Great cross from Sanchez finds Ross unmarked in the box, Ross took a touch and the defender got back and cleared. Should have taken in first touch
-
Long range shot from Rooney, few yards over
-
the Antwerp fans are very vocal, more noise than many SPL teams. Must be a good 100-150 fans Even game so far, Ross just had a good header from a deep cross. Just over the bar

Dundee are going to win the league this year though :023: believe me i never look at any game as dead cert, i have seen too many bust coupons and betting slips to know better!

I hate this kind of prediction !!! It wasnt that long ago that a few folk thought that both Mann and Wyness could still do a job for us and Bavidge has also been no slouch at Peterhead. This will be a tough tie and I would hope we go through but if we take Peterhead lightly we do it at our own peril !!!!! i said should I also didnt say we would take it lightly, Terry has shown that he prepares the squad mentally and will certainly not let the team rest on its laurels or indeed approach the game with a blas? attitude.

I guess it'll give him a proper chance to recover from his groin injury Suprised we're only hearing about this just now

as Johnboy says, good that its a home tie Should progress without too much hassle

Some very good points there and points which for me completely answer all the unwarranted criticism. A temporary PA system which couldnt be avoided and new announcer(s) dealing with difficult names on his first outing. I think its way OTT to say that mis-pronounciation or struggling with foreign names could be classed as racist Think what its like in the English Premiership, going by all the nationalities that play within the league they have there must be hundreds of names mis-pronounced every week. It doesnt mean the announcer is being racist or the club are lacking professionalism. I would doubt very much if the Real Valladolid players would even be taking notice of the announcer let alone how his Spanish sounded. What do folk want? Should we hire in an interpreter just to pronounce the names correctly. I have been to many away grounds and have heard countless mistakes, i certainly dont think it unprofessional or racist, its part and parcel of football, we are human after all I totally agree that the announcer should be given a chance to show if he is up to it. Give him a few games and see what he can do The point is the announcer didn't even attempt to pronounce the visiting teams line up !!! As has already been said all it would take is a little research . Is it fair to ask an announcer who is more than likely a volunteer to research linguistics so that he gets every oppostion players name bang on? Ive forgotten how many times i hear on the radio or read in newspapers professional journalists getting our players names wrong, or mis pronounced or mis-spelt or even get the wrong name entirely. It happens all the time and i think to deem the announcers handling/mishandling of spanish names as racist is OTT. In a perfect world announcers would get names/numbers/pronunciations all perfect however it rarely happens. If journalists dont do the research and its part of their job what chance is there of a volunteer announcer doing it. Goin by the views on this thread it appears its offensive and deemed racist to name the team and get the names wrong and its also offensive to not try to pronounce the names? No win situation

I'd agree with your appraisal there I think Nick definitely needs to build up a bit, quite a few times he was brushed off the ball to easy and as you mention when the wingers arent beating their men then Rooney doesnt get anywhere near the amount of chances than when Foran and Hayes play out wide. I think with Ross its all about game experience, he's a battler and never short of effort, i just think he needs games and more exposure to the first team and he should progress well Blumanstein for me was pretty ineffectual at left wing as was Sanchez on the right wing in the second half. Blumanstein looks like he would fit in best in the hole behind Rooney but the way Eric has started this season there is going to be a fair bit of competition. Tuffey looks composed and his distribution and kicking looked pretty decent. He also showed that he isnt afraid to shout at his players if he feels they arent pulling their weight. Rosscoe hands down MoM for me, dealt with absolutely everything thrown at him and seems a lot more composed than when he is at RB McCann looks decent and i think considering Gillet was playing with the team for the first time then he showed promise. Overall a sound defensive performance but with too many long ball passes and not enough creativity in the final third. We definitely missed creativity from the wings last night but bearing in mind Foran and Hayes were out it is understandable

totally agree, we're going to need them back to full fitness for the celtic game so the sooner they're back in action the better Is it not the case that the scans have only given them the all clear to start full training? Given that they've missed pre-season training, they are surely some way from match fitness and I'd be surprised (but delighted) if they were able to play in the remaining friendlies. without knowing the full details of the scans no-one really knows it may be the case that the scans have given the all clear for full contact training or it may be the case that running or general fitness work could have already begun. i certainly hope its the latter. It would depend on the nature of the injury which we dont know too much about guess we'll find out with the line up for tomorrow and saturdays friendlies

have to say ive found it easier and quicker to use the mobile version of the forum through safari rather than through the IPB App, maybe its just me though
