Extending Dean Brills loan deal
Talks are at an advanced stage to keep extend Deans loan stay until summer next year. Full story here: http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/Sport/Football/ICT-look-to-extend-Brills-stay-16092013.htm Great news and given how well he has done i'm not surprised we are looking to extend the deal. He has been a commanding and reassuring presence at the back and has clearly given our back 4 a strong platform to build from.

Whilst I don't personally agree with players being banned from betting on all football I do agree that there should be a blanket ban on betting on games within your league. The betting for or against your team should carry a severe punishment IMO. He was given a inappropriate punishment given the fact he was betting against his own team(s). Sets a pretty dangerous precedent if this happens in the future. What punishment would be dished out for an offender being getting caught betting on one game he was involved in? £10 fine and 45minute ban?

Team for Hearts
Heard that about Watkins, heres hoping for a speedy recovery. Would be great to see Allen make the bench, good to hear he played and scored in the bounce game during the week

Team for Hearts
It was indeed a bounce game, finished 0-3 to ICT with Polworth (Pen) Allen and Ferguson with the goals. Lucky enough to have a full match report here: http://www.buckiethistle.com/scottish-football/1916/match-report--highlights---buckie-thistle-0-3-inverness-ct-xi.html and also even have some decent highlights as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT1R_icdya4 nice work buckiethistle.com

Inverness CT -V- Motherwell
Will try to summarise that game having just got home. First half was exceptional, passing, movement, defending all excellent but the part of the game where we really impressed was attacking. We looked so dangerous going forward that Motherwell could not cope with us. The first goal was a great header from Foran but our second was an absolute joy to watch. Some quick passing and movement between Raven, Doran and McKay and the ball was in the back of the net. Great goal and Vincent had two opportunities to add to it. One was a shot which was deflected just over the bar and the next chance was a volley which screamed just over. We ended the first team in the ascendency. Second half was a much more scrappy affair where Motherwell had a lot more of the ball without really threatening. The changes they made seemed to help them and they were much better at holding the ball. It looked at times like we were happy to sit back and rest on our 2-0 lead but we defended resolutely. We had the odd attack forward but nothing clear cut other than a Doran chance late on. To conclude, first half was exceptional, second half we switched off a bit and were happy to let the game fizzle out

U20s
It was Ferguson that scored, not much information about the match been published but from what I can gather on the interweb the players that were involved were: Esson, Cooper, Gorman, Christie, Ferguson Maybe they were playing 5 a-sides?

Hopefully the U20 games over the next few weeks will shed some light on who's is close to making a return. I would imagine Terry would be keen to use the U20 league as a way to build match fitness for fringe players and those making returns from injuries Sincerely hope that Curtis Allen makes a speedy return to fitness, his goalscoring exploits and highlights from YouTube at other clubs are quite impressive and once fit should make a strong challenge along with Adgestein to Billy for a place

Where do the ICT support originate from?
1. Inverness 2. Predominantly Inverness 3. Mid to Late 90s 4. Inverness

Todays Inverness Courier suggests that Watkins is back in training but that this weeks game at Tannadice may be too soon for him. Curtis Allens injury is mentioned and he is 'not expected to return any time soon'. Doesnt really clear up anything that we didn't already know

Allen and Watkins were both about 2 weeks away from returning the week prior to the start of the season so I would hope they would be returning to training this week at some point. Would imagine some U20 game time would be on the cards. I would go with the same team although might be inclined to go with Williams/Greenhalgh in place of Nick Ross. Eager to see how a more natural winger would get on out wide. By no means did Ross have a bad game on Saturday but I think its an area where we could be more threatening, i.e. beating one man and putting in a dangerous cross. Cant remember too many crosses coming in from Nick where as I remember about 5/6 from Raven and a few from Doran/Shinnie

ICT -V- St Mirren
Unfortunately you're right but you would think given how well we did last year and a good start to the season this year that we would merit a slightly more prestigious slot on the programme or in general media? After all its about the entire league and not just about how the central belt teams are doing at sport, or you would at least hope so!
-
ICT -V- St Mirren
I'm another one who watches the highlights either on YouTube or the BBC, no time for BBC Sportscene especially seeing as we are usually last and have very limited highlights. Whenever I watched sportscene last season, I found myself shouting YouTube at the screen, whether that was to state my preferred viewing medium or merely directed at the 'expert discussion' remains to be seen!

Arsenal Link
Was there anything official ever published about this 'link'? Does this Arsenal 'link' extend to anything more than our Tel knowing Liam Brady and being able to chap him up for a loan signing if needed?

Team for Saint Mirren
From what i've seen and heard from pre-season games then i'd go for: (on the assumption that Esson, Watkins and Allen are still not full recovered from injuries) BRILL RAVEN----MEEKINGS----WARREN----SHINNIE DRAPER----POLWORTH DORAN----VINCENT---WILLIAMS MCKAY However I would think butcher will go along the lines of: BRILL RAVEN----MEEKINGS----WARREN----SHINNIE DRAPER----FORAN DORAN----VINCENT----ROSS MCKAY

Could Hearts FC be Relegated?

New signings
Greenhalgh never won a contract with Inter. he won a place in their academy. There's a big difference. The following sources seem to say different Alex, looks like it was a 6 month professional deal (playing mostly with the reserves) that he won rather than a place in their academy. That was followed by another 1 year contract of which he was loaned to Como http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2012/february/16/ben_greenhalgh.aspx http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football%27s_Next_Star http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/4999628/Never-lose-passion.html http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/caley-swoop-player-who-works-1738676

Torbjorn Agdestein
The Brighton fans had high hopes for him and apparently he had a good scoring level at reserve level, looks like he has maybe hit the skids a little. Terry could be the man to revive or indeed even ignite his career
-
Torbjorn Agdestein
Managed to translate a Norwegian tweet about 'Toby', sounds like it could be a 6 month loan deal

Calum Ferguson
Always great to see an ICT player get international recognition. Well don Calum, all the best

Arbroath
Sounds like an encouraging performance as far as pre-season friendlies go. Anyone know if highlights will be available?

Don't see anything wrong with the graphics whatsoever, a lot better than a lot of other clubs. The goals pop ups aren't they-re to tell you there been a goal, its to say who scored and when. Perfectly reasonable, Sky do it, BBC do it, ESPN does it To be perfectly honest I don't watch the highlights to judge other teams media quality, I watch it to ease the pain of getting through the close season without competitive football, job nearly done on this occasion

'Highlights' available Great goal from Polworth, pretty shoddy defending for both their goals
