Great news, congratulations Granty. :clapping03:

'Inverness hold Niculae talks'
Atrocious player. Recently there was an Aberdeen youth player and a pal who were drunk and beat a guy up on Union Street I think it was. John Stewart certainly not involved there anyway. Saw him play in a couple of reserve games up here and scored quite a few goals, quite good ones too and had a fairly good scoring record in the reserve league. However, going by the reports that he missed a club function and the fact he was released from Aberdeen for, rumoured to be attitude problems, then i dont think it would be a good idea to pursue signing him. Sounds like he has a very poor attitude to the game and if he cant get a regular game at Falkirk then i sincerely hope we dont try to sign him!

'Inverness hold Niculae talks'
Should think so! I'll let you off on this occasion however i might not be so accomodating next time :tic01: ha ha anyways, as mentioned above its highly unlikely that the guy will sign anyway, still more important positions to strengthen, like the fact we have very few quality defenders on our books!

'Inverness hold Niculae talks'
:018: Excuse me? Before you start immature name calling you might want to check your facts. It did indeed have an article in the Scottish Daily Express about Nicolae, the quote from P&B said: Do you think i'd make something like that up? If it is a load of pish then dont blame me, blame the journalist and keep your petty name calling to yourself! :hiding03: My humblest apologies, however I subscribed for the e-edition of aforementioned publication to check and it's not there. I suppose the Scottish Daily Express doesn't link to their website. Thats not my fault is it? All be it question my source if i come out with something suprising that you may not believe but dont call me a to55er for it :018:

'Inverness hold Niculae talks'
i'm not sure, this is the first i'd heard of it. Popped up on teamtalk today so dont know when the story originated. Not reading too much into it yet, always interesting to read specualtion though true, couple of defenders wouldnt go a miss, maybe Charlie is going for the 'we'll score more than you' approach to the game :tic01:

'Inverness hold Niculae talks'
Certainly seems to be of a high pedigree. Would be a huge transfer coup if we could get him, hopefully his wage demands arent too excessive.

Your Predictions
Ive said 8th, but i think i'm being optimistic and basing my opinion on the basis that we get another couple of decent signings in the door. Mainly another striker and a defender at least.

Scotland U20
Plain and simple, the japanese team could pass and defend, if we could of managed those two simple things we wouldnt of been humped in such an embarassing fashion. I dont think the japanese team were anything particularly special i just think they did the simple things well and that in essence is the basis of a organised team. It didnt help that our keeper couldnt hold a cold!!! Anyone know who the reserve keeper is? Get McNeil on the plane home!

whats your average yearly spend on caley???
Feck! :010: when you actually sit down and work it out it comes to quite a bit!

Dargo is a Saint?
EXACTLY! Time to get the finger out and stop messing about with trials or getting players up to have a look at them, other clubs in the division seem capable of signing players without trials so why cant we!

Comments in the Courier.
I don't think he needs to sign at least two strikers, we need one striker. We don't need a winger either. I agree with you that we need a defender. I think we were lucky last season to get through with basically five defenders in the squad. we've lost two strikers over the close season though, do you think we can honestly cope with bayne , Wyness, Mcallister and A.n.other? baring in mind the injuries we had last season, 3 stikers and a youngster isnt exactly a strong situation to be in. IMO we need two strikers, an experienced centre half and a utility player in the same mould as David proctor who can cover most defensive positions in case of injury.

Who Do You Want To Beat?
Without a shadow of a doubt, ABERDEEN, too many times have they either beaten us with fluked or undeserved goals or snatched late undeserved equalisers and it gets on my friggin nerves! i really hope we pump 4 or 5 past them next season! :crazy07:

The most irritating opposition player this season.
Absolutely right, Dorus de Vries. :33: What a free-kick from hastings though :blah01:

2007-08: Final SPL Table
I reckon: 1: Rangers 2: Celtic 3: Hearts 4: Hibs 5: Aberdeen 6: ICT 7: Dundee United 8: Killie 9: St Mirren 10: Gretna 11: Falkirk
-
Who do we go for then?
Agreed the Premiership is the ideal hunting ground for players who really could make a difference, however i wouldnt rule the SPL out completely, Rangers seem to have some very good youth players coming through banging on the door for first team action as do Celtic and its well publicised the Hibs have a very strong pool of youth players coming through too, i wouldnt discount the SPL altogether although i'd love to see a premiership starlet benefitting us up here.
-
Who do we go for then?
Doesnt mean we should never try to loan someone again, look at Stokes at Falkirk, arguably he kept Falkirk in the SPL last season. Agreed it can be hit or miss but still worth a try if it nets us goalscorer for a season! personally i think we should go for Steven Dobie, at QoTS i think, little bit out of shape but i think with a good pre-season under his belt he could be a great signing.

Dargo...the saga continues
It would bring an end to the saga and finally let the club know if they have to replace Dargo or not!

Dargo...the saga continues
according to most media sources however Dargo's contract expired last friday, he was back from holiday on the Sunday and would make his mind up on the Monday or Tuesday. Now it seems like he's not going to make his decision for another 4 days. 4 days isnt a lot but it seems to have been going on forever. One week we hear that he's going to make his mind up at the end of this week, then it changes to the week after and then the week after and so on. Fair enough to give the guy time to think about and discuss his future with family etc but i think ICT have been more than fair in allowing him so much time in coming to a decision, or waiting for other offers to come in :tic01: I for one would love to see Dargo stay as he has been a vital part of the team however in the interest of ICT it surely to ascertain if he really wants to stay, if so get him signed up, if not get the finger out and look for a new striker to replace him. Time is of the essence at this time of the year for clubs, the sooner we know who's staying or not the sooner we can prepare for next year without missing out on too many available players.

End of another season
Agree totally! Havent seen this quote but if true it shows a lack of ambition IMO. Are we ever going to rise above being a lower end of the table team? I certainly hope so and would like to see the clubs management keen to progress season upon season. Spot on! My assessment of this season would be as follows, i think we have done well considering we have lost a key player in Mark Brown and have had two key strikers out for extended periods with injuries. More importantly, i think we've done very well considering the fact CC has just completed his first season as a manager in the SPL and is still on a steep learning curve. On to next season i think with a couple of decent transfers i believe Charlie can bring the club up to the next level of mid table teams and challenge for a top six place.

best fans in the world?
I heard about this from a killie fan i know, its the second time in the last few years that tic's 'whiter than white' support have trashed seats at Rugby park and the second time that it has been left out of the mainstream media. Its a disgrace that it has been swept under the carpet like so many other wrongdoings by their fans.
