  1. Well.....i have automatic updates turned on, so Im assuming everything is up to speed, but cant be certain about that.
  2. I feel a bit guilty to be calling for Butcher to go already, but can anyone give me a positive relating to him? I cant think of any.
  3. there is not ONE team in Scotland where i feel we should be 3-0 down to at half time....let alone Partick
  4. You wont get pelters from me Steve. As per usual.....we hold similar views regarding all things ICT!
  5. My old man was saying to me on the phone the other night that in his opinion, we only seem to compete for half a game. he seems to have a point!
  6. In fairness to Burley tho, he only had 8 games in charge. what's Butchers excuse?
  7. Too late now.....yet another unacceptable result.
  8. seconded!
  9. Robbie Keane has scored 4 today!
  10. Wyness just scored for Queens
  11. Since i did a factory restore on my laptop last week, and been using Firefox, when i am replying on forums like here etc (or general typing) there is a lag between typing in the letters and them appearing on the screen. Anyone have any ideas as it is most annoying?
  12. Ive had that one too....and i tried it from my main socket. Didnt make an ounce of difference. You should still be angling for a reduction in price, for the service that ISNT being provided!
  13. It seems I was wrong Dee. I just took a speed test and it was only 1.91meg. BUT........I had reported speed issues again to BT last week. They seem to go up and down a lot for some reason. Its a bit annoying tbh. They told me it should be settled by 26th of this month. Apparently, my speed should NOT drop below 2.7Meg, according to BT. So....i can feel another phone call coming on.
  14. heres my latest test result
  15. I was suffering the same low peak time speeds as you are Dee....but i decided to be a pain in the ass to BT and it now my speed sits consistantly, throught the day, at between 3-4 Meg. At the very least Dee, I would go to your ISP and argue the case that technically, you are paying for a broadband service that isnt being provided. Thats the angle I would go for....coz if nothing else....it may well lead to a sizebale reduction in your broadband bill....just as it did for me. I got double bubble tho....as my speed issues were also rectified to the level they now are and I am paying ?10 less than I should be. On the other hand....im not quite sure what i was doing paying the over inflated price of ?25 per month in the first place!
  16. Caleymad....i would be pulling up the ISP for that speed, coz as far as I am aware....Broadband technically starts ats 512kbps and you are recieving substantially less than that. Your sister or whoever is paying the bill is paying for a service that isnt being provided! Where about are you? I used to suffer speeds as low as 150-200kbps at peak times until this year, but i had to keep on at my ISP to rectify the problem. I wouldnt be suprised if its a deliberate ploy by the ISP, to save them bandwidth, where they rely on you to discover the issue.
  17. I remember REALLY enjoying playing Resident Evil Directors Cut and Syphon Filter on PS1
  18. I found the site you need to access your router Oz. Go Here http://192.168.0.1
  19. being honest Oz, unless your downloading a lot...you wont even notice your speed for browsing the net. you could have 50Meg speed, yet for general browsing, you wouldnt notice any difference from a 3 Meg connection. Even at the speed you and i get, it is still possible to get a movie in about 20 mins and an album in about 1-2 mins. Canna really argue with that! I agree with waht you say about the service advertised tho....6 Meg should be achievable for us.
  20. Dig out the disc for it, pop it in and find it from there. Thats if you do have the disc? As i say tho, i dont think theres much point, i reckon your getting the best speed possible. Its about the same as mine
  21. Oz.....firstly...if i recall...your in Cradlehall arent ya? Ad say 3.8 Meg is fairly healthy, all things considered. Its above average (apparently) As far as logging into your router....does your router come with a disc? If its a Netgear for exapmle, chances are you will be able to pop the disc in, and get access from there. Normally, the passwords for these is "admin"
  22. I think you get a 256MB save feature (not sure in what form it takes) on the arcade version. basically, I dont think i can afford a hard drive version for him, as he also wants a certain game (?30-?40) and, I am going to have to purchase the 3 yr insurance cover (?30) for my own peice of mind. Its all more than i can afford really, coz that little lot is gonna cost me about ?220 as it is. Think a 60Gb hard drive version is about another ?30.
  23. Slightly off topic here...but, as i mentioned earlier, am planning getting my 9 yr old an xbox 360 arcade for xmas. Question is...is a hard drive really required? I cant see him wanting to download demos etc.......but just for playing a game here and there. he isnt the kind of boy to play a pile of different games at one time, hes more likely to play one game and try to finnish it. So.....would i be fine with the arcade version?
  24. Am thinking of getting back into gaming after about a 5 year lapse. Am toying with getting an Xbox 360, simply because of price, and the fact that my oldest son has one, with about 30 games plus am getting my 9 yr old one for xmas. I only know 1 person with PS3 to mooch games off But am fancying dusting off the PS2 and maybe revisiting resident evil 4 again.....and finnish/restart Splinter Cell 3.
  25. Awh...thats the best part of the day. Am normally dreaming i can fly or have superhero powers at that time
