If its any consolation Mahonio....while i do think your initial post re Butch was a tad reactionary to say the least.....i feel you handled the backlash with a fair amount of dignity, and didnt retaliate to the name calling etc. Which isnt not an easy thing to do online. So, fair play to ya on that. Also...i know all to well what its like to have a bee in your bonnet about a manager, so....i have been as guilty as you for calling for heads...except...mine was about a BAZILLION times more justified. Basically I agree with that, but let's not get carried away here - it's not like we've beaten the best team in the league today. Thats true JB...but in many ways, todays result is more important than a one off win against one of the big teams.

No reason why we shouldnt expect at least a point from todays game. Its the likes of this game where i expect to get points on the board

You expected a win at Tannadump ? Points wise i mean....swap the 3 pts we got at Tannadice and swap it for the 3pts we dropped with Hamilton, and its about where i expected us to be at this stage

IM a subscriber of 11th place finnish or higher as being our goaal. We are only 5 games into the season. ICT are notorious slow starters! Apart from the Hamilton result, i think things have gone as I would have expected.

I agree that the only difference between the teams is that hearts took their chances. And considering we had a make shift team out, i thought we did not bad. Was very glad to see that the long punt forward wasnt used as the sole option today. I have to say...I thought Nick Ross played very well today, with my only critiscism was his chioce of final ball at times. That will come in time tho. So basically, we were not turned over, the score does not reflect the even nature of the game. We need to be more ruthless in front of goal

Heres my question.....if you were in charge of solving the problem with the state of Scottish footbal, what steps would you take? There has to be problems when 1st choice centre half is a 40 yr old cart horse. So, what areas would you begin with. What do you see as the problem? As far as i know, Scotland isnt prone any more than any other country to any specific problems. So...discuss

I would say....tactically thinking....the 3 pts from Hamilton would have been more usefull come the end of the season. I think 4 pts from the first three games was a realistic target...so i guess, I am saying we are slightly behind where i thought we would have been at this point.
