  1. Fair enough, that's a reasonable answer. I was thinking more of investment rather than season tickets and the like. Large-scale "investments" - or "donations", if you like - are needed, because the money put in by fans is nowhere near enough to keep the club going. And we see no evidence that they are going to happen.
  2. And what evidence do you have that money will come in when he is "100% removed"?
  3. We are playing Bonnyrigg in the League Cup on Saturday 20th. So it can't be the first team on Thursday night, Shirley?
  4. ... apart from being in breach of contract And scuppering his career in management.
  5. He wasn't a local lad either, so maybe we'll be OK.
  6. And what happens when he gets injured in the second minute tomorrow?
  7. Indeed. It is entirely possible to support the team but not the management. Not every Man U supporter is a fan of the Glazers
  8. Presumably it's deliberate, to cut down midweek long distance travel, especially for the part-time teams?
  9. Schrodinger's football club - is it alive or dead? No one knows until we see inside the box...
  10. I suggested in a post here beforehand that someone at the club might take umbrage at the Trust recommending a boycott, and might consider legal proceedings. But, not being a lawyer, I didn't know whether such a case could be made, nor how likely it was to happen. Maybe Chinese whispers turned that into something less vague?
  11. Are they? I was looking up the Articles of Association the other day. There's a later revision to them, which amongst other things, allows the directors to appoint other directors. So were the shareholders involved in electing any of the current board? And do a third of them offer themselves for re-election every year, as required by the A of A? I'll dig out the exact references if anyone wants. The documents are at the Companies House website.
  12. Given the number of players we have, there will probably be room for you and a few others.
  13. It's a reasonable assumption that if there was any good news, they'd be falling over themselves to tell us. Therefore, there isn't any.
  14. I nearly said something similar earlier, but I was worried about the libel laws! He is now in the classic "disgruntled employee" situation, which was always near the top of the list of security risks that I would discuss with my clients. (Another one was over-reliance on one or more key members of staff - and we seem to have that situation as well.) It beggars belief that he is still there, presumably with access to all systems and information. He should be out on gardening leave. If he must be there to talk to external consultants or simply to bring the rest of the staff up to date, then all his computer system accounts should have been disabled, his phone taken off him, and he should be accompanied at all times. If the law allowed it, I'd strap his hands into boxing gloves, too, so he couldn't use any equipment
  15. I'm tempted to suggest that everyone goes to the matches, but remains completely quiet all through. Not a sound. Let them see what radio silence is like. Unfair on the players, of course, and totally unrealistic. But maybe just a few minutes?
  16. If they were not going to renew his contract, shouldn't he - and anyone else in the same situation - have received his P45 by now, as Doran did?
  17. Possibly all at the stadium this morning for a welcome meeting and induction for all the new signings?
  18. Gardiner's latest idea - divert the Scotland plane to Dalcross, and that will give us a squad for next season. Though we still won't be able to score any goals...
  19. Just a headcount would be a good start. Bonus points for a picture confirming the existence of Big Dunc.
  20. I'll see your McVie and raise you Russ Ballard But I don't believe in miracles I don't believe in miracles But I thought you might show your face Or have the grace to tell me where you are
  21. Down, down, deeper and down....
  22. Fair enough, but I don't think that that stops them any of them providing a summary - within legal and commercial constraints - of what is actually going on? If they have collectively decided on omertà, then maybe someone should start dragging the shore off the Longman, to find out if anyone is sleeping with the fishes.
  23. Exactly. A complete reset is needed. None of the board has had the spine to come out and say what's happening. Even if it's only "We are determined to keep Inverness Caledonian Thistle going as a viable and competitive club. Discussions with investors are continuing. We would like to re-sign as many players as possible. The manager is still in place and is using his contacts to search for other players. Mr Gardiner's end-date will be the xxth of xxxx. Legal considerations prevent us from saying more at this time, but we will update you regularly as we move into the new season.". There's no way that a CEO - especially an outgoing one - can tell the board of directors to keep quiet. The buck stops with them. Their jolly is over and they should all go. Reboot as a community-focused local club. Don't over-reach. Learn from and never forget the lessons of the last nine years.
  24. "Give us your money and it'll be fine!". Basically, everyone is being asked to have blind faith that everything will be OK. Blind faith, without any scrap of evidence. There must surely be someone at the club - perhaps even reading this - who understands this and wants to remedy it? Why not do it today?
  25. If his notice period was, say, 3 months - which someone here said would be short for a CEO - then 3 months from 30th May would be 30th August....
