  1. I agree with all that has been said above, and think that with young master Black about to spend lots of time either playing reserve games and watching from the stand, the time is ripe. Why not have him play as an attacking midfielder because the one thing he still does well is close control with the ball. Given a bit more space in midfield he may even get back in amongst the goals.
  2. despite my prediction of 1-1 for the Groingos NPL I did put money on 2-1 for us so I am happy in more ways than one. Good weekend, got the Well and Dons scores right so the bank balance is climbing.
  3. couldn't get a ticket but watching the gers fans hide their colours and leaving th pub on the final whistle was almost priceless. Watching them leave Ibrox in October was only slightly better
  4. I remember being taken by the aforesaid Baillie for an Inverness primary schools rugby lesson on the fields in the mid 60s'. Having got up last from a scrum, I watched from as distance as play continued only to feel the boot of Baillie up my backside with a polite request for me to rejoin my team. So Gerx I disagree slightly with your impression of the immortal Colin. Never learnt my lesson, because I voluntarily went to CB's circuit training night classes in the early 70's and yes he made me sick as well.
  5. Agree with the majority of what has been said and with CC's recent comments in the press where he rightly says priority number 1 each season is to avoid being in the dogfight at the bottom. After that, and I think the majority of the fanbase feel the same, then lets see what can be achieved. Defence is playing ok but the whole team seems to be scared of the ball and of making mistakes and are getting rid of the ball as rapidly as possible to whatever coloured jersey. There has been little change in performances by the team since the start of the season which have generally not been as good as last season. However I do think that or recent goal drought will not last and wonder who will be deluged when the team clicks.
  6. sublime free kick, which might go some way towards more Euro places which can't all go to Glasgow.
  7. Unfortunately the wee man lost his place due to being the sort of aggressive player we need that refs tend to learn about and pick on. Most of his bookings are correct with the odd one due to reputation. But as most folk have already said Russeldinho played well on Monday and has earned the right to at least start the game. Think Blackie should come on for the last 30 min if the match situation allows. I would expect Hib's efforts on Wednesday should mean they will wilt a bit in the second half, which might herald the sort of changes of personnel we saw against Falkirk and maybe the same kind of finale.
  8. Sorry HC but I already have the winning ticket for Friday. Fourth stand would be ideal with a full size gym and sports facility included inside utilising as much of the space available. Facility for use obviously by players and the public as large, which generates income for the club. Rather than the usual with football stadia which stand fairly idle and unused outside matchdays. I am sure that I could make some funds available after Friday night. I would hate to think of the Bught being converted into a football only facility, for loads of reasons. The obvious few reasons are that access from the South for large crowds when the fairly big Glasgow teams come to call, would be a nightmare for everybody trying to escape the ground after the match. It also belongs to the People of Inverness not just us football fans.
  9. can't split the two. Poetic justice for brewster or just the Inverness curse. Could Le Guen be next out the door? :015: :015: :015:
  10. I was so lucky that I was allowed on two separate occasions to enjoy that particular ward for those wonderful experiences of youth. I also remember laughing at my two older brothers after their tonsils ops didn't go quite as planned.
