  1. Chris has it bang on in that a "one off" united team would be used by FIFA to solve the issue once and for all. Any promises given would be conveniently forgotten as always happens when politicians and the higher echelons of sports governing bodies find it suits their agenda.
  2. Indiana Jones + the temple of doom
  3. dont care what the final score is cos I have already won in the sweep at work. Spain 3 Germany 2 Bonus 1 1-0 Bonus 2 Spain Bonus 3 Germany Bonus 4 49,999
  4. Your link was brill stevico - unfortunately I don't read Romany or Romanian, But I can guess the likely content. I hope he stays because he does bring something to the side, - very few of the players around him read where the ball is going to go quickly enough, but even as a shadow of the player he has been due to injuries he has obvious quality.
  5. brew assisted by maurice maplas! I think brewster can do the job but he clearly needs help with plugging the holes in defence.
  6. Having gone down to Tynecastle just before Christmas, it's heard to believe that it was virtually the same team playing yesterday. Haven't seen the goals again but got a a pretty good view of the first two and thought the first was possibly stoppable while the second wasn't from where Mikey was. The third I have heard about and had a distant view of - thankfully there were only three. Freeland was as bad as our team was, which makes it all the more understandable why St Mirren didn't want him for their cup replay. Rosscoe was used as a pommel horse in the box right in front of him and he just turned away. Then Rosscoe and Marius were flattened in the box and he just waved claimes away. On the day we didn't deserve anything which is what we got. Mikolunas has cheated against Scotland and spent all day yesterday trying to gain an Olympic diving place. Think the best place for him is at the bottom of a pool. There may be some light at the end of the tunnel in young Rory who had a positive run and shot that shows he has more potential than many posters gave him credit for last year. The boys did try but looked knackered after chasing 'tic in midweek. I know Hearts were entertaining the huns but they just rolled over and obviously enjoyed the training. Thank god for Gretna, and the end of the season being too close for them.
  7. where did you get that table from scotty? - its wrong! bayne has scored at least 1 league goal (v hearts)
  8. reckon tynecastle has to offer the best value for money. its easily the best atmosphere in the spl and the prices are good
  9. we will get 6 at best! if we win the next two games then brewster will certainly get manager of the month and you only need to look at the history books to see what happens after that!
  10. Just watched their pen again on Santa + still feel the ref had decided they were getting one to even it up cos it looked very soft. Their keeper was mince and got himself sent off. Contact with Marius was minimal and exaggerated by the big man but raising his hands when Russeldinho touched him gave the plonker in the middle no choice. Thoughts at the game were that Baynes goal was a screamer, but having watching it again the stand in keeper obviously forgot he was wearing gloves and tried to keep it out with his legs. No objections from me - just finished the afternoon perfectly All in all well worth the trip down
  11. Glad I spotted this thread. Already planned coming down via Dundee to collect the reprobate from Uni and then home via the Tincastle. Would have been mighty P*&^%d if I had arrived ticketless and then been matchless.
  12. Didn't get to the game yesterday for a host of reasons, but from what I have seen previously Mikey makes the odd mistake but is potentially a very good keeper who deserves his chance. He also kept a clean sheet yesterday in mid winter. I did watch the highlights of the Everton game last night where the best keeper in Scotland lost 7 goals and had a string of class saves as well. Virtually no chance with any of the goals. Don't agree with the boo boys at all - any of them care to attempt to take his place in goal.
  13. As a professional sportsman Ritchie is subject to random testing and failure of a test should result in a minimum of two years ban. As reported in the press he was probably within seconds of consuming cocaine which would have remained in his sysytem and testable for a considerable period - probably resulting in a subsequent ban. I think DBS misses the point completely in his comments. Just because its becoming more commonplace in Inverness doesn't stop it being illegal, a bad example and contrary to his contract with the club. Unfortunately I don't think the club has any option but to dispense with his services. The only way I can see ICT retaining his services, will involve him being tested regularly and some serious amendments to his contract.
  14. It must be obvious to all that you put your heart and soul into the club 24 hours a day. Sorry to see you go, but like others have said I hope you are able to continue in some capacity at the club.
  15. Like the Wanderer I agree wholeheartedly with Caley D's epithet. I do think the club needs to take a gamble on some ticketing incentives. 1. Season ticket holders/ Supporters club members provided with a number of half price/reduced price vouchers to spread around irregular/ non attendees etc. 2. Match day family tickets where if 2 adults pay 2 children go free. There are a host of other methods which could be tried.
  16. Don't think Mikey had a chance with any of the goals. He might have saved them all if he was 2 foot taller. Don't think Macgregor was made to work at all today. I am not a huge fan of Rory and agree with several of the comments above about lack of commitment. I would sooner see Rory out on loan for the season and young Woods get a chance as a sub regularly.
  17. Think the reason for the delay must be to do with the simple fact that the Rangers fan at the Scottish office responsible for permits is terrified of a repeat of last season and is doing his best to help them out.
  18. 1. Celtic 2. Rangers 3. Hearts 4. Hibs 5. Aberdeen 6. ICT 7. Dundee Utd 8. Kilmarnock 9. Falkirk 10. Motherwell 11. St Mirren 12. Gretna Can't see beyond Gretna and St Midden of the trapdoor slot, but from 4th to 10th should be pretty close. I would expect the top three to be well clear, even allowing for the huns dropping points on the opening day of the season.
  19. If taken to court and proven by the authorities then the club must take firm action which will deter others from sampling illicit substances. Players are definately role models. Wholeheartedly support Gordon Smiths plans for random testing of all players in the Scottish game. Rio Ferdinands punishment several years ago for "avoiding random testing" should have been 2 years as proscribed not 3 months of the summer plus the start of the season. Why have so many professional cyclists been caught over the years? Because they are tested more often than all other sports put together. Prepare for a lot of suspensions if Gordon Smiths plan comes to fruition because the will be a considerable number of "overpaid superstars" getting caught.
