did we actually pay him to leave?? as my understanding goes a mutual agreement to terminate a contract can be reached wherre a club decides they wont play a player but they will allow a player to terminate his contract in order to find another club which is more suited to his style/ability(or lack of)/level then it is in both parties best interests to cancel said contract

is the parachute payment not a 3 year scheme where they got so much per year?

overrated 1 Dean Macdonald, for some reason he attained cult status very quickly yet as far as i can remember did very little on the pitch 2 Andy Barrowman, he came with a big deal of expectation yet largely failed to deliver. led to fans opinions dropping off pretty fast but would have to still include him for the initial hopes i would probably not include any of the younger players such as Zander Sutherland ,Guy Kerr, Ian Vigurs ,as to be honest i dont think they were given the chance outside of the youth team to really prove they were worth it, unlike Macdonald who came into the first team

the bit that gets me was the part that we have to explain the whole thing to him i dont know him that well but i have always thought him to be very modest and think he would probably see this as something he didnt deserve

yep but it was definitely a highlight of my season anyway

i know im probably going to get a flurry of red dots for this but........ this was an inevitability, a fair number of our squad has been getting towards the golden age of there playing years recently and sooner or later these guys would have to be let go. it is sad to see such players leave but on the flip side to everyones feelings of sadness at them leaving i would like to ask a question what would people feel if the older guys legs started giving way next season?? other clubs are bringing through a fair number of younger players who will have the pace to beat the older slower players who may have a wealth of skill but that wont help if they are 20 yards behind someone

CaleyD, tweeting from the TCS says it was credited to Rooney. so long as it was an ICT goal, I do not suppose it matters (although it will earn me a few extra points in Gringo's NPL) didnt get first scorer but got the half time score right :D

winning for me then if we are 3-0 up at half time bring out some younger guys but we should always go out to win

i would just like to take a moment to thank everyone at the club for a fantastic first season back in the spl i havent made it to as many games as i would have liked and on occasion have felt like a jinx at the ones i have been to all in all though finishing where we are in the way we are has made it worth while for me. i am looking forward to a new look caley next season pushing on from where we finish in a real drive for consolodating the clubs position in the league and maybe sneaking into the top 6 on a final not e i would like to add an extra thanks to all the players not having contracts renewed, it will be sad to see you go and thanks for all the dedicated service you have given to caley over the years. it will not easily be forgotten. if i see you out and about i may just buy you a pint heres to next season guys

i will be sad to see these guys go but to be honest im not surprised. we all knew that players would have to make way to bring in new faces and at the end of the day how long do you hang on to someone ?? if they had a bad year next year then there would doubtles be calls of why didnt we let them go in the summer? i am trying to be a bit optomistic with this and its not easy but i have trust in Terry's talents for unearthing talent... plus they must be four shoe-ins for the next ICT hall of fame speaking of that i dont fancy trying to vote on the next one as there are going to be so many candidates out there as we rebuild a fresh squad

im sorry but i dont get why you are so angry cairngorm yes it is a shame that the under15's couldnt play the final but your soloutions (With hindsight) are massively unrealistic in this day and age to do anything last minute often costs twice as much you seem to think it comes down to make a couple of phone calls and everything is sorted, if things were that easy do you think the coaches wouldnt have done it? you also seem hell bent on the idea that this was there only chance to play in a final, if the kids have any go about them then they should look at this as a stepping stone and go next year with the intention of winning the thing lastly might i add that i dont see you making any offers to do anything to help. if you are so disgusted with the way things are being run then how about you get up of your bum and volunteer to help out in some way?
