Haven't got my specs but, from the stats on this site, I make it Played 15....Won 8....Drawn 2......Lost 5 in our previous league meetings which gives us a 66.666% chance of winning surely the odds of winning are always 50/50 in reality...ok you can go into all your technical things like injuries etc but at the end of the day its still one team against another

have received an email telling me about the spl families weekend which works out as this weekend and has a families hospitality offer for the match

im sure JT is unhappy to be not playing but cast your mind back a few seasons....mark brown was in goal and a certain Mikey Fraser was on the bench...was it not something ridiculous like100+ games mark was on for ? im sure i read an interview with terry somewhere that aluded to the fact that he wants players unhappy that they are not playing because that is what should be spurring them on to push and push for the place and put them in a position to be ready to step in and grasp there opportunity when it comes....the only thing that this is perhaps highlighting bearing in mind that it is still only gossip...does johnny have the right tempriment??? instead of moaning and saying i want a move i want a game maybe he needs to think "well you know what Ryan im gonna train harder work longer and im gonna be better than you, im gonna give the boss no choice but to have to pick me" that to me would show a lot more character and would suggest that he is more of a team player than looking to run at the first sign of a challenge

i get that this is a big issue to some people and yes it does seem a bit steep, but :- if people are that adamant then why not buy the pie before hand/take it in turns with person next to you ? its not just pies at the stadium that are going up in price.. EVERYTHING is..it wasnt that long ago a bottle of juice used to be well under a quid, now look at it as has been pointed out the staff are largely kids...looking to earn a wee bit extra cash, they get paid pretty much regardless providing they turn up and arent completely stupid/thieving. the club agree a contract with the caterers who are then left to run it..not being a lawyer but im pretty certain that they will be doing things to the bare bones within that contract to maximise there profits.. it is very unlikely that you will get a company doing it for the love

i like sitting behind the away dugout lots of fun winding up the opposition team...have even managed a few decent bites from away team managers before now

im quite confident that this would have been a reference to the incident a few years ago when dougie was unfortunate enough to be involved in a tackle where the opposing player got a kick in the throat and actually "died" on the pitch before being revived

i dont quite get why people come on here and do things like that okay your fishing for a bite but to then turn round and say that we dont let the football do the talking...is that not what the OP is doing by coming on here fishing..how about we just sit and wait till we have played each other on a side note however i agree, we are a team in its infancy in the fact that we havent even reached an "Adult" 18 years old yet.....but for one so young we have achieved an awful lot im sure you will agree

Okay i know we are only two games in but :- Johnny Hayes has fromw what i have read and seen been turning the defences inside out and seriously making his mark on the SPL and from my View i would say has made the step up with out batting an eyelid, the evidence at the end of the Celtic game when there were two sometimes three defenders attempting to mark him out of the game was clearly evident...now when we get Richie Back on the other side am i the only one thinking that we may be in a position where we will have an attack that will hopefully be in the running to do some serious damage?

number 5 for me this year.....promised the wife it was her turn after getting my birthday and my daughters birthday prior to now

it will be interesting to see what comes in the next few weeks with regards to the fact that johnny was waltzing through the defence time after time , does anyone think that he is going to be in for a lot more attention over the coming weeks

personally i am in favour of the winter split .. in all honesty we have had it imposed in recent years anyway with the weather so why not wise up save cash and make it official. as for the expanded league i would like to see it, i think that the spl could probably cope with 16 or even 18 teams...18 teams home and away would make for a decent season and throw into that one up one down but a play off for the second place/second bottom and things would take on a different meaning and there would still be incentive toward the tail end of the season to keep pushing

think he will be a massive player for them especially if he can achieve even half of what he has done with Davie Weir

Didnt really think rosscoe did anything wrong i thought he had a better game than mccann and just as good as munro. I was impressed with hayes rooney esson and eric they all had good games but i thought nick ross was a big let down, i thought we should have played gil from the start more a case that i think as the season gets on and fatigue kicks in he is going to find it harder to maintain..

well having watched us kick of the season remotley i thought i would have a stab at a bit of a match report based on the coverage on BFBS watching in the first half i was happy, the performances of the players gave plenty for us to get excited about and it was nice to see a caely squad looking hungry and keen. players like Nick Ross and johnny hayes were standing out head and shoulders above what i would have expected for there first SPL games, some very nice moves from Kenny Gillet and Mcann in defence too were giving me hope that we really good have taken something from this game. we had several good chances created from the wings when time and time again the ball was crossed into the box and for once we didnt look afraid to have a go...gone was the problems of the last couple of years with nobody having the guts to actually take a shot and it seemed to have been replaced with more of a here we go lets see what we can do attitude.. a little more target practice and i really think that we could have a good front line.. unfortunately after about half an hour we started to get pegged back a little by celtic. pleased to be going in at the break at nil nil the game at this point i felt was still up for the taking and celtic really were not justifying the title Favorites tag unfortunately we didnt carry on in the second half as we did the first..celtic game out of the traps looking to hit us..and hit us they did.. Paddy Mccourt was given far to much time and allowed to wander through our defence to hit the net..prior to this we had looked in it but the goal seemed to leave us searching for ideas... we had matched celtic more than evenly up to this point but after the goal they got there noses up. several more shots on goal from them were kept out through a mixture of dumb luck on our part, some fantastic saves by Ryan and sheer ineptitude from celtic..to be honest i felt that we could have lost 3 goals at least today however at the end of the match to have lost one nil to a team like celtic shouldnt be seen as to much of a defeat. positves some very good performances from our team a real lets get stuck in attitude Hayes playing nearly the full match only losing one goal negatives to me i still think our defence is looking like the weak link we still looked alot for the long hopefull ball up the park rosscoe did not look like he has it in him for the whole season well that was a first attempt at a match report and these are only personal opinions based on stuttery TV Coverage....... wheres my tin hit :_shocked2:

have there been any significant transfers of note of uk based players who HAVE managed to settle over there or is Mcgeedy looking at this like a stepping stone to the epl/championship

Strange thing to say Am i the only one that finds it a bit strange that Mr McGhee is saying he is looking forward to finding out how good his players turn out to be....i would like to think that Terry wouldn't be signing players wiht out a belief that they are good enough to do the job they are asked... to me it suggests that the Aberdeen manager has had his hands tied into not signing quality but cost basis

have often thought they could do an adult mascot package where they could pay ?x and have an opportunity to train with the team through the week and then be given the privelage of sitting in the dugout for the match,bet there would be some cracking banter
