  1. PB's were watching the Indy Car last night - Go Dario! Anyways, the American Commentator announced there was " A Scot 3rd and a Brit 7th" Looks like we've already got Independance - they might have told us! :015:
  2. We don't half scrub up well eh! :015: Hall & Hampden 004.jpg_thumb Hall & Hampden 008.jpg_thumb Hall & Hampden 005.jpg_thumb Hall & Hampden 007.jpg_thumb Hall & Hampden 009.jpg_thumb
  3. What a day - I'm absolutely exhausted!! First trip away with the Highland Tartan Army, superb! :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: Probably my last too if I win the ?50 raffle again! :015: I got no end of abuse for that! C'mon Scotland!!!! Believe ya bVggars!!!! Come back from Paris with a Win Maimie! :boldblue: :brave: :boldblue: Mrs PB x
  4. Did they mention 66 at all? They won some sort of Cup or something didn't they :015: Very selective amnesia - can remember 66 but not 67. Wembley is a fortress...apart from they last two games at "old Wembley" when they got slaughtered by Scotland and Germany. It always makes me laugh, we were living in England-shire for the last World Cup, the arrogance of some is outstanding. "Your just a diddy team" - yes, but at least we have our own Culture, and a true pride in our National Identity! Feck em, we'll be there anyway - C'mon Scotland!!!!!
  5. SCOTLAND HOPES! Hope is knowing that football, like the scarves we wear, are made to be lifted up. Because out greatest glory consists not in ever falling, but in rising every time we fall. Like Hampden's fearsome roar, hope arouses a passion for the possible. It helps us achieve the unthinkable. Scotland 1 France 0 (Hope 89) We can live 40 days without food, 3 days without water and 8 minutes without air. We can live 4 days in the Ukraine without changing our Replica Shirts. But we cannot live 1 second without hope. Hope is not caring if we lose every game, as long as we top the group. Hope is calculating that we only need 6 points from our last 2 games, provided the Faroes hold Italy and Ukraine beat France by 2 clear goals. Hope is pricing flights from Glasgow to Zurich "just in case". But most of all, hope is like a path in the country - there never was a path, but when many of us walk the same ground, the path comes into existance. THIS IS THE PATH WE FOLLOW - WHEREVER IT TAKES US - WHATEVER IT TAKES! (Back of the Scotland Prog) Hampden feckin roared yesterday - what an awesome day!!! Scotland will qualify - believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mrs PB x
  6. Anything depressing, especially REM! How is that enjoyment?
  7. :015: :015: :015: I've had two "being dopey in morning" disasters in the bathroom recently... Shaving underarm area...reaching for the deodorant..picked up hairspray...didn't realise until it was too late - **** did that hurt!! :029: Other one was after Highland March, threw toilet bag back in bathroom, walked into Bathroom still asleep, managed to put Savlon on my toothbrugh instead of Toothpaste - feckin horrible! I try to be more awake now in the mornings! :016: Mrs PB x
  8. I'll be checking the CD player before we leave The Innes, he might have a mutiny on his hands if he brings it! :016: :015:
  9. Don, Can you put Uncle Albert down for a seat please. What time do you want us at The Innes? Mrs PB
  10. First Part Time (1988) - Paper-round delivering free papers for about ?4.50 a week. Spent most of the time dodging killer hounds and ice-skating with my bike on frosty pavements! First "Proper Job" after Uni (1999) - Facilities Assistant - Pebble Mill - ?11,300 On my first day, I was running down the corridor trying to catch the post, went crashing into David Dimbleby, paper everywhere, thought I was going to have the shortest BBC career ever, managed to stay for another 8 years.
  11. I would believe that, was reading Caff's interview in The Sun yesterday..maybe I'm just suspicious after last week..but it smacked a bit of self-promotion and "look Gaffer I'm supporting you..pick me...pick me!!!" We were talking about "the incident" in the social club on Saturday, I am reliably informed :015:, that all parties are now drinking in harmony in The Heathmount, not together, but in the same postcode at least!
  12. Not overnight no - but against Arbroath - surely the team will be motivated to impress and give us the win we deserve!
  13. Assess the team tomorrow night - then play and bang another two past Hibs on Saturday!!!!
  14. Time to just suck it up and accept it! He's here, it's not ideal - just gotta take it on the chin. We haven't any points and things can only get better eh! Looking forward to tomorrow night - let's see what he can do!
  15. Russelldinho seems to be one of those players that is always going to frustrate us! He has moments of complete inspiration (Killie game last year) then games where it falls apart. The midfield is far weaker without him!
  16. You just want to moon at all the Hibs fans.............again!
  17. Dear Gorgeous Tattooed @rse, I've learnt to just enjoy today - tomorrow is a whole new adventure!!!!! Parkie, IMHO, is the very best person for the job. Of course he'll never take on the role, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy every second of him being in full control of the dug-out on Saturday! Mrs PB x Amongst all the cr@p there is a glimmering flicker of hope.....his name is Donald Park!
  18. If all is to believed, and Brewster is to be unveiled on Monday..then Parkie will be in the dug-out on Saturday. Just wanted to take the opportunity to wish Parkie all the best of luck, he's the best man to get us off the mark! There's only one Donald Park - :021: I fully appreciate the unhappiness with Brewster, but lets get behind Parkie on Saturday and stuff United! C'mon Caley Jaggies!!! Mrs PB
  19. His last stint was backed up by his playing career, which he could build the team around, and which got him out of jail on more than a few occassions. His appointment first time round showed real ambition - this time it's a definite backward step. Expectations are rightly high - we deserve better! To play devils advocate, when he left the club, he did make sure "ICT did alright out of it". Which is one redeeming feature I suppose!
  20. My feeling after the meeting last night was that is was a very positive experience. My point to Grassa about the "possible" :016: Brewster appointment perhaps not showing as much ambition as we would like, I felt was listened to and acknowleged. It was very worthwhile to have an open forum with direct access to the Chairman and Director of Football. I was pleased at the turnout, hopefully we'll have more of these events. Despite some folks pessimism - it's an oportunity that shouldn't be wasted! I don't think anyone there was under any illusion that our views would be part of the decision making process, in fact I'd be **** worried if they were, but it was a chance for them to listen and perhaps take on board some points. Perhaps the most important thing I have learnt, is that it's all very well bashing away at the keyboard, calling for this person and that person to be sacked/hung drawn and quartered - but at the end of the day these folks are only human, make mistakes like us, and have families who get hurt by comments. Yes, we have a right to free speech - but we also have a responsbility not to degrade it to name calling, and to acknowledge that for every action there's a re-action - which might affect players families.
  21. Ahhhhhhh............so when all us wifies were talking about Make-up Tips, Showbiz Gossip and Handbags...the "1 hidden" was Don having a peep! It all makes sense now! :blah01:
  22. Can I ask an anorak type question please, y'know when you view a topic, at the top it lists the members who are viewing it, then "guests", then sometimes it says "1 hidden" - who are the hidden people? Why are they allowed to play hide and seek with us? :015:
  23. Levein was being tauted last time round - with the benefit of hindsight that would have been superb! My worry with Brewster is he's got a large media profile, so is always going to attract attention from elsewhere. I guess we'll soon see how serious he is about staying for a decent time and progressing the club. Could he attract Dods back? - we certainly need him - would be nice to stick one to Dundee Utd too! :015:
