  1. Bless him - Zander looks like all his Christmas's have come at once! :015:
  2. Superb night - Well Done LG - when's the next one! :016:
  3. A severe dressing down was undoubtly needed after the Pars game, but the way in which he's done it smacks of insecurity to me - "you're not performing for me, you're not listening to me, it's my ball, I'm off home, you're b*ggared now". Surely it must be in his head that he's getting replaced, very strange thing to come out with if not. I've always been behind CC, not an easy job to do, especially with so much pressure from being a "local lad". I have questioned some of his methods though. I hope he doesn't go, but would question that if he is in the reigns for another season, he needs to work on his PR. Hiding from Fans will just make them mad, we pay the wages, we're entitled to our tuppence worth, as long as it's done reasonably, no-one no matter what they do should put up with abuse. If you hide from folk though, you just stoke the fire! Makes him look arrogrant!
  4. I guess it depends where you personally draw the line, I'm 30 but would never even say bl**dy infront of my Mum - she's very religious and a wee stick of dynamite - I'd never hear the end of it. I don't swear at work either, and I hate it when people swear first thing in the morning! However, Football is my release, for 90 mins I can shout my lungs out and go through every emotion possible. We sit beside an elderly couple and believe me their language is worse than mine, but I'm still respectful of them. I know where the boundaries are. We sit together at every home game, and try to all get along. Away matches are a completely different kettle o' fish. It's a chance for the "singing section" that are usually seperated out at TCS to get together. If you've been to a few footie matches, you generally know where to sit. This woman moved her family up the top beside all the boys, her kids were loving the atmosphere and singing along. It's a bit rich to enjoy the atmosphere people are making, then complain about the content afterwards. If you don't like it how about singing your own songs to drown it out! :016:
  5. Something happened at the Killie game that has really quite rattled me. :008: :008: :008: One of the more "controversial" members of the old board, was asked to refrain from using the word "Homo" from a lady sitting in front, as there were kids around. Ermmmmm - it's a football match not the Opera love! You'll hear much worse from the dug-out! I understand that parents want to protect their kids, but surely they hear much worse in the playground? Indeed, they probably say much worse in the playground themselves! If you don't want to hear "such language" move the **** away from boys that chant at the back. In a rather glorious moment, her own son stood up 10 minutes after and shouted "FCUK OFF" to the Killie Main Stand - was he reprimanded - off course not! Charlie is calling for fans to get behind the team and make some noise, it's **** hard to encourage people to do that when the friggin Sweetie Wrapper brigade stick their oars in! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  6. Every Cloud has a silver lining! :022: Every Celtic game it's the same, the row infront of the PB's (usually reserved for away reserve team) is full of away "fans". We now take great delight in saying very loudly "Serves the Glory Hunting B*****d's right!" at every ICt goal, and making general comments to annoy them. We'll you've got to amuse yersel somehow! :023:
  7. Some hitchhiker we got off the bridge! :016:
  8. Ticket for me please!!!!! Looking forward to an evening covered in body glitter and fiddling with mechanical things - a normal Friday night then! :023: Update - can I have 3 tickets now please? Is that allowed? It's for my Mum and Wee Sister - both Caley fans (as if they had a choice?) :021:
  9. "The Dodgy Arms" - what a place! Superb live music, great banter...althought that barman was a tad shady if you ask me. Kept trying to electrocute his punters with various devices - you don't get that in The Innes! A guest appearance by HMS Sneck - what more could a woman want! Satisfaction was indeed guaranteed! :dancing03: :dancing01: :dancing03: :dancing01: :dancing03:
  10. Absolutely, I think that's the sting in the tail, nowt left to play for now! Robbed...again....in the last couple of minutes! I know we've done it to folks in the past, but it's happened quite a bit recently. Bitter pill to swallow!
  11. There's a huge leap between banging the goals in at training/reserve matches and banging them in against Celtic. Sometimes I think we don't appreciate how hard is it for the youngsters to step their game up. One of our mates from Birmingham came to watch the previous Celtic game and was impressed by him! He does have some quality moments, but he's so easy to knock off the ball. So far I've been disappointed by him, he needs to graft harder and chase rather than arms flapping about. C'mon Rory - prove us wrong - knock in a 40 yarder against the Arabs! :016:
  12. :025: :025: :025: Sorry, don't but Rory just aint up to it. Every time he comes on he gets pushed off the ball far too easy! A lad his size should have more presence!
  13. 2 x PB's (inches away from Strachan, can't wait - BRING THEM ON!) :021:
  14. It's a tricky one this, if you apply it to the PB's I should be a tink :010: and Mr PB should be a Villa Fan. Can understand your annoyance, but lets focus on the future generations and forget about people who are clearly already lost! Afterall, could there be anything more annoying for an OF fan than having a kid who's Caley daft and refuses to change!
  15. Sadly, I don't think this is an isolated incident, we'd heard from someone else that they were refused their usual seats in the main stand, and offered uncovered seats in the North Stand instead (there was several kids in the group!). It was only when they started to kick up a stink that the club backed down and gave in. Apparently the order to sell the seats had come from "very high up" - which if true is very very disappointing. :007: :020: :007: Right enuff, you do need corporate money, but why couldn't they flog them to them after the deadline for season ticket holders. If you didn't get your tickets in time - tough, it's your own fault!
  16. PB's are certainly involved, and will definitely be at the next meeting. I can't deny that there may be "psychological damage somewhere" with us both :023:, but we certainly aren't doing this to pass the time. We care about this club and how it's run. Yes, there are things that annoy me, but we're not going to change them sitting on our erses are we! It's too easy to spit your dummy out and throw a tantrum about the people that are getting off their's! It's the cowards way out of having to do anything! Try doing something positive for a change Clacher - you might enjoy it!
  17. "Window salesman as director of football?" Feck off! :008: :008: :008: :finger03: :008: :008: :008: He's a superb ambassador for our club!
  18. Is anyone else getting a bit fed-up of us popping over the bridge? Rankin has proved what a jump it is, if the Player of the Year finds it tough - what chance have the rest got? Rankin........McSwegan.......Cowie.....(not to mention previous signings). I'm disappointed - how does that show ambition? Yogi manages to get players like Stokes and Casper Schmichael - and we raid the tinks! C'mon Grassa and Charlie - bite the bullet and look further afield - it's getting boring now! Mrs PB ***steps off soapbox***
  19. Mrs Pauliebee replied to a post in a topic in Caley Thistle
Rankin just needs more time, if it's true that Black has gone to Hibs, then CC obviously has plans for the midfield. His goals were superb, hardly feckin tap-ins! He'll start banging em in soon! From what the troops were saying about the C***y game on Saturday, the jump up is probably a lot more than we credited them with! Mrs PB The John Rankin Fan Club
  20. :021: :022: :021: :022: :021: Brilliant news - go'on Barry!
  21. Brilliant - will be wearing with pride! :021: :022: :021:
  22. Don't forget Shaun De'lere
  23. :015: :015: :015: Lazy Journalism again! Why bother going out there and finding stories, when you can sit on yer erse, surf the forum and fill pages! Bout time they got caught out!
  24. "Also i think we need another striker as Dargo, wyness bayne arnt being prolific and we need someone that can be" I'd wait and see how the team settles. Rankin is starting to come good, he used to bang in 40 yarders for fun at the tinks. If he does that for us, takes the pressure of the others and they'll start to come good too.
