  1. Dennis will sign his Russell may or may not depending on what other offers he receives. His first choice is to stay in Inverness, but we don't seem to be able to come up with a decent offer
  2. The Supporter's Trust do have a voice and we meet monthly with the club. We will follow up complaints, from all fans (not just members), but we don't actually get many formal complaints. Most people like to hide behind the anonymity of this forum and moan. Many of the moans and groans are justified, but unless we have actual complaints, naming names, seat numbers etc, there's very little we can do. I have asked repeatedly for people to obtain seat numbers of away fans in the home end so that the purchaser can be traced. Problems with stewards/police, give us badge numbers, witness details etc. Then we can possibly get somewhere.
  3. If that is the quoted reason then it is utter ***** !!! Do you know who sat there for many years through the lower divisions ? ... yes, it was ME :003:, Big Stu, Calum, and Stu's brother Ross (although a lot of the time Blair or Willie Fisher would get his ticket as he was working away). To one side was P&B, Sian, ATT (Above the Tunnel), and a few others, to the other side Doresboy, Guzz, Uncle Albert, Kenny & Barry Wright etc ..... We might have got worked up and shouted "words of encouragement" over the tunnel to ICT players and opposition alike but I can 1000% guarantee that there was never a stick or any other object poked down in the direction of any player, nor a desire to do so. If that is what is being said, and it is being said about seasons in the lower divisions then I would like more details as it appears to be defamatory. Yes Scotty I know that is where you sat and a lot of the people you mention still sit in that area. I did say that there either was an issue or the possibility of there being an issue. It may just have been a risk assessment. I don't have details, but I was told that was the original reason for the ban, but with the tunnel now in place this could be reviewed. I also have to say that this wasn't the current management who gave me this information but someone who was involved with the club when the ban was first introduced. Caley4life has met with Mike Smith and does have a direct route to discuss this directly with him, but the Trust will happily seek clarification if required.
  4. I think you are right Scotty. As I say we have made some progress with the surfing flag and would hope to have one in place, although this would probably be next season. I believe that this 'ban' was at the request of the police while some discussion went on regarding the pros/cons/risks involved. My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that the 'stick' ban is an ICT ruling and not an SPL/SFA blanket ban. I think that there were problems years ago, in the lower divisions before we had a players tunnel with people poking sticks down into the tunnel area or at least having the ability to do so if they wished, so the decision to ban them was put in place to avoid this issue.
  5. I would love to join you, Hissy is one of the nicest guys I know, but I'm having a complete change and going to the shinty in Kingussie. :003:
  6. Can't comment on the sticks, but we have made some headway with the surfing flag. :021:
  7. I thought that Maimie would have been along with an update. After much research and investigation, several trips to the shops to view the options, she has finally made her purchase ............................................ SHE BOUGHT A PINK ONE. :015:

    "Dils" Hendry

Jock, my Dad has given me his address and I have sent you a PM with the information
  9. Lovely day here today. :003: Bit of a breeze but the sun is shining. 11.7c here right now. :014:
  10. Albertz was interviewed on the radio the other night and said when a friend asks for your help, you always like to help if you can and that is why he is flying in tomorrow to sign a contract until the end of the season. I'm sure their gate receipts will most definitely increase, even the not so loyal Clyde fans will surely turn out in numbers. Good bit of business for Clyde I would say.
  11. Laura, Gary is an ex ranger. He started his career with them. That is what I meant by that comment Alex. Meaning that it is very likely to be true. John Brown is manager and Andy Goram asst Manager and goal keeping coach. Calling in a few favours from old team mates
  12. Jorg Albertz is signing for Clyde tomorrow and they did say on the radio the other night that there might be one other also to sign on Friday. (I did think they meant another ex Ranger) Fair play to him, they could have a good end to their season
  13. As far as I know the Bankers are still on the go, they certainly have been very recently

    Duncan

Jnr, I think you are right about his agent. They are obviously keen to fill their own pockets out of any deal. Testimonial money is for the player, I always thought like a bit of a thank you from the club/fans for their service. With the way players move about they will become a think of the past shortly. I'm sure some of the really big testimonials might give money to a charity or to their club, but it is for the benefit of the player.
  15. Mind you after a shock exit from the FA cup they may be looking for some games. :001:
  16. That was a possibility Alex, which has now unfortunately been ruled out.
  17. Okay - back on topic :001: :003: Interview with Dennis in today's P & J saying that his agent is dealing with things, but he is going to sign, just sorting a couple of little things out. His eldest daughter is due to start school after the summer and they are settled in the area. They don't want to move but he had to get the best deal possilbe which is understandable. :021:
  18. I don't think anything has been confirmed yet. Don't think Alan Shearer will be coming though. I'm sure you will all know as soon as something is confirmed. :004:
  19. Well done Marius and good luck. Now for the other aim - Top six :001: :001:
  20. :015: :015: :015:
  21. Yes he will be able to attend. His 28 day loan period will be over by then and even if he extends his loan period he'll make it back on time. I'm guessing today's result will have an influence on whether or not he extends his loan period. :003: Currently 1 - 1

    LOSERS

You are right it probably was a blessing in disguise. :003:
  23. This was a worry and indeed Setanta have considered the option, but I suspect that they would have announced it by now. Barry Wilson has his testimonial dinner on the Saturday night, so a Sunday fixture wouldn't have been great as the players would not have been able to attend. Think we are in the clear now though. :003:

    LOSERS

Okay, especially for Heilandee An update as far as I can While Les has an early birthday celebration in Las Vegas, Maimie has taken the overall lead with a fantastic 2 stone loss so far. Weigh ins this week were on different days so I don't have all the up to date information. I do know that Doug has now passed his target weight and Les was doing really well, but I think he might have had a bit of a set back. David has also lost a fair bit and has been very good at adding a bit of fitness to his campaign which is helping. I am probably the slowest losing just a pound or two each week, but I still hope have lost at least 1 stone by the end of the month. Your money is safe for another couple of weeks Heilandee as it's the 31st March we finish. But maybe you need to invite Maimie round for dinner which might save you a couple of quid at the end of the day. :015: :015: :015: Remember folks you can donate online HERE
  25. no relegation if Gretna go bust. they would be deemed the relegated team. If they are to be relegated to probably the 2nd division (as suggested), there will still need to be relegation from the SPL and then I suppose 2 teams come up to make space further down the line to slot Gretna in.
