  1. :015: :015: You never give up IHE.
  2. If a man gets into my taxi and starts the usual 'woman driver' rubbish, first I give him the option to walk (nobody has taken me up on this yet) :015: Then I drive like a maniac, late braking, late cornering, harsh acceleration. They soon get the message and end up very impressed that a mere mortal of a woman can handle a car like I do. :015: :015: :015: Generally I am complimented on my driving and possibly the best compliment I ever had was when I was told I wasn't a 'woman driver' :rotflmao: I think they meant typical. Tourists in hire cars with sat nav are the worst ever as they aren't even looking where they are going as they are waiting for tom tom to tell them where to go. I try to be tolerant as I would probably be lost in their town or country, but I do think driving has deteriorated with sat nav systems. They do serve a purpose, but no need for them all the time.
  3. I agree that Charlie did a good job as manager, but I did feel that the team let their heads go down far too easily. The one person who won't hear a bad word about CC is Brew. He will very quickly jump to the defense of CC who had a good record and managed some of our best results (especially against Rangers last year). The obvious difference of fitness, self belief and confidence cannot just be coincedence. When you are playing well and creating chances your luck will turn, but only if you keep your head up and keep trying. CB makes a point of shouting a player and praising them for a good pass, good shot, good save. He makes sure they hear him and I think that they appreciate it. They are used to being shouted at when they have done something wrong, so I like the fact that he takes time to praise and constantly encourage the team throughout the 90mins.
  4. Wasn't quite sure where to post this or whether to start a new thread, but I don't think it'll get lost here. Following out scheduled monthly Supporter's Trust board meeting I would like to raise a couple of points on behalf of the Trust board Firstly, other than the incident we all already know about, there has been no official communication via the Trust, via phone or e-mail with regard to Saturday's game. In fact it would seem that stewarding throughout the game was handled well. For obvious reasons we cannot comment on the eviction early on in the game. We believe that there were complaints from current season ticket holders within Section G who couldn't access their seats as they were occupied by the singing section, this led to the stewards checking tickets and ensuring people were sitting in the correct areas. Our suggestions to those of you who want to sit together and sing and create an atmosphere is that you will need permanent seats in order for this to be possible, so if you are a season ticket holder, then exchange it for the area you want to sit. For those who don't have season tickets, you can buy tickets in the ticket office prior to the game. (If you want a good choice of seat, then try to do this as soon as possible after the tickets go on sale). The next game is going to be the Aberdeen game which usually has a big crowd. Therefore before this game can you buy or exchange a ticket for the area you want to be in, this is the only way you can ensure being seated close together. There are areas of the North Stand less populated than others so why don't you get together and pop into the ticket office to see what the options are. The West Stand is still available to you if you want to take up this option. I know that the lack of a roof is a problem, but that will be sorted if the stand is being seen to be used. No point in spending the money if nobody is going to use it. Catch 22 I know. The increased atmosphere is appreciated by many fans and definitely by the team on the park, but it's the big games we need it most, so we recommend you get down and either buy your tickets early or exchange your season tickets as appropriate. We remain confident that this 'Singing Section' can be a success with a little common sense shown from all parties concerned. I will repeat that we should have big crowd for the Aberdeen game (as this is the first time we're going to record a win over them. lol), so it will be important that you sit in the seat you have a ticket for. It's 3 weeks away so you have plenty of time to do something about it.
  5. Caley4life - you have some good suggestions, but we have thought about these in the past. Last season were were going to try to allocate a section in the north stand, but as this means asking season ticket holders to give up their seats, the chairman built the west stand. The west stand may well make a good family section, but there are already a great number of family section seats in the north stand and I doubt that they would all be happy to be moved. Especially as some of them were just moved there this season. People become very territorial about their seats (well I know I do mine lol) I am just about to post some suggestions on how to move this forward, hope they help.
  6. One of these you could watch over and over. Always going to cheer you up. :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  7. If anyone's free, the reserves have a home game tomorrow afternoon at 2pm against Hearts. Free admission. :021:
  8. You could be right Johnboy. Truth is we haven't had a chance to discuss it. We have a meeting tomorrow night and I'm sure it will be on the agenda.

    100 by Christmas

Already being discussed on the Dennis Wyness thread - 99 already so we could have 100 by next week hopefully. I'm going to close this thread to save duplication.

    Eye candy

Don't think I can recall a better team performance than we witnessed yesterday. If we can continue to play with the confidence and belief that was evident yesterday, we can beat anyone in this league. :021: :021: :021: :021:
  11. He has been release back into the community and will be tackling the long drive home today. I'm sure we'll hear from him when he returns home. He'll have had plenty driving time to contemplate the actions of yesterday. I suspect he will require legal representation and if he gathers witness statements which are similar accounts to what I have heard from people in the area, I suspect he will have a good case.
  12. What happened to you Feb 8th. Mrs PB kept you a ticket as requested, but no sign. Good night, good laugh and a few quid in the bank thanks to CaleyD, just as well he's better at poker than he is at horse racing. They'll never spot Johndo's prize :rotflmao:

    RIP - DAN MACLEOD

I was in the fortunate (or unfortunate) position to be first on the scene following the game on Tuesday night. He received almost immediate CPR which would have given him every possible chance and with the club doctors and the red cross not far behind I can confirm that he had the best treatment possible. A sad loss to the football community and my thoughts also to his family and many friends. What I can say is that his last conscious moment was a very happy one as he enjoyed the game as much as the rest of us. I guess it was just his time. God bless. x
  14. I was also in Double T yesterday and today. The problem is that there is quite a high minimum order and he was a little concerned that there wouldn't be enough demand. He has confirmed today that he will order the red lettering, but it could take about a week or maybe even a little more before they are in stock.
  15. Good idea, it's time we had a bit of a laugh. But I can exclusively reveal (even CaleyD doesn't know this yet and he's the driver :015:) The Innes bus for the Gretna game will be a 'WEAR IT PINK BUS' :rotflmao: Saturday 27th Oct is the annual Wear it Pink day for Breast Cancer. So can you make your fancy dress a pink one. :rotflmao: Aberdeen game is closer to Halloween but I don't know how many will be going to that one. Sorry CaleyD - do you have a pink bus drivers uniform or is that too personal a question.
  16. For a standard 3pm kick off we usually start to gather from 1pm onwards
  17. Yes the Innes is where a few of us hang out pre match. It's always good to put faces to the names.
  18. Tommy still does them as far as I know
  19. :017: :017: Ref profile
  20. Today at 2.30
  21. On hindsight I'm glad Dargo went as he's been injured since the start of the season and he's on someone elses wage bill. :001:
  22. Cheers for that Scotty
  23. I'm pretty sure we have the rights to the BBC audio for use on this site as long as the source is credited to the BBC. We certainly have had in the past. Scotty/CaleyD will be able to confirm that this is still the case.
  24. :rotflmao: Welcome aboard. :015:
  25. We were all well warned of these new football banning orders. I am still of the understanding that it was the police who pursued this matter and not the club. I could be wrong, but that is my understanding. As I have said elsewhere, I haven't been directly involved in this, only commenting on what I have heard.
