Golly
We all know that Golly has the ability to play at this level, and we also all agree that he has struggled to find his form since he was injured last season. I thought yesterday there was a nervousness about his game. I think he just needs a bit of confidence, which will come after a couple of improved performances. It must be difficult to pick yourself up after a long absence. Also can't agree that Russell Duncan didn't have a good game. I thought he played really well yesterday. Russell always puts his heart and soul into every game. Some passes may go astray, but remember they were most often cleared from defence. So if you look it as a good clearance rather than a bad pass then you might appreciate him a bit more. I know for a fact that the players really appreciate the effort he puts in.

Celtic Tickets
The idea behind this is that the genuine fans can get tickets, so you must know a season ticket holder who can get a ticket for you if you want one. I would offer, but I'm away now until Friday afternoon so wouldn't make it down til Monday. I'm sure it won't be a problem if you want one.

End of Season Party
A good time was had by all as usual. Thanks to everyone who organised it. Unfortunately it didn't quite have the same buzz as actually being at the end of season. The players didn't hang about for long but some of them were travelling down the road tonight, and they are in preparation for the new season rather than celebrating the end of then last one. One or two didn't make it at all, but full marks for Rossco who arrived a bit later but stayed til the end.

End of Season Party

Craig Dargo
Aparently he is carrying a bit of a knock and doesn't want to risk being injured for next week. He should be fit for next Saturday

What happened to Juanjo?
:015: :015: :015: Tried to find some info on his new club last night. They are a 2nd division team, but it looks like they are newly promoted from the 3rd, so not much info until the season starts as far as I could see. Sounds like a good outing for HMS Sneck. :drinking03:

Sheffield United Will Pump Us
I thought Roy McBain had a good game, Richie Hart looked okay and John Rankin seemed to fit in well. I think Barry will be really embarassed about his penalty miss, especially as he had already sent the keeper the wrong way and then casually rolled the ball WIDE. :015: :015: :015: Mark Brown had a good save near the end. It just seemed that it was one of these nights that we weren't going to score. Good night for Rossco though and that's what it was all about. Subs: Barry Robson, Paul Ritchie, Stevie Hislop, Paul Sheerin Keogh and Tom Parrat for Rossco.

What happened to Juanjo?
I was speaking to the man himself tonight. His family are doing well in Spain and he has indeed signed a contract with Granada in Spain. It was great to see him again. He was training with Livingston to get a bit of fitness before heading to England for some trials, but no longer necessary as news of his new contract came through. Great to see him and I hope he enjoys success with his new club.

next season strip?
On a more positve note, I was back down to purchase the top for my son and another delivery had arrived. This time including shorts and socks. You can barely get in the shop door. With a busy weekend and only 1 week until the start of the season the timing couldn't be worse for the shop staff. There have been a few weeks when things have been a bit quieter where new strip sales would have been no problem. It really is bedlam. No fault of the staff they are doing their best under the circumstances.

next season strip?
The stock that was dispatched last week has now all arrived, but not all sizes were dispatched, so it's a bit of pot luck whether or not they will have your size. No shorts and socks at all. I was faced with having a top for one child but not the other, although Errea have managed to make these ones even smaller than the last home tops so my nearly 10 year old daughter needs a small mans size and my 12 (nearly 13) year old son will need a medium mans size. So whatever size you have in a home top you will need at least one size bigger this year.

RESPECT
Spoke to the man himself a bit earlier when I was down at the stadium. He is looking forward to his night, but understandably a bit nervous/excited about it all. I think there will be a few old faces around tonight and I'm really looking forward to it. The Sheffield team had arrived and were having a look around when I was there, although I didn't see them myself even Ross said they are all massive. Sheffield Giants it would seem. Should be a great night. Scotty/IHE - we'll try to make a little extra noise just for you.
- RESPECT

next season strip?
When we renewed the deal with Errea we signed a 3 year deal. The reason we are given for late orders is that the big english clubs who put in special orders (cup final or champions shirts) get priority as they are worth more money. So we are basically binned until they find a minute to get round to our relatively small order. In my opinion, once they accept the order and give a delivery date this should in itself constitute a contract. I know in the past there were problems with the strips being ordered late or even outstanding unpaid bills delaying delivery. This year it would seem to be just simply down to Errea letting us down again. They hope to have the strips available for sale tomorrow but not all the stock has arrived yet. It was initially promised for the beginning to middle of June.

Roll call Testimonial and Ross County
It was really sporting of them to honour Rossco, by naming their new mascot after him. A fitting tribute for this testimonial week. :notworthy01: :notworthy01: :notworthy01: I was surprised Rankin was banned as it's only a friendly. A bit silly. Rossco wants a few of the players he has played with over the years to join the team tomorrow night and while Charlie understands that, he insists that it is important pre season preparation for the 1st team so he will field a strong team. I'm sure the other players will get a run out though for some part of the game. A couple of them are playing on Saturday for their own clubs, so I suspect they will only feature for a short time
