  1. "if you look at Neil Warnock, there are a host of issues, not least relocation." As least we can confirm we are talking to him. Graham slightly encouraged!!
  2. This dosen't ring true, (that Brews got the job) when you compare it to the timescale re appontment.. Bennett puts over in todays Courier... But would you believe him ??? Graham PS.. Yes I know IHE, you continue to point out this is all a side show and Brew signed 3 months ago...
  3. yup I thought the second honeymoon was spin..! cannot imagine being up for a second honeymoon, the week you quit a great job because of stress... G
  4. The policeman asked for the best man for the job ! looks like the crocodile will get him while we were all shouting "he's behind you (on damoon)" at the policeman.. and so the TCS Punch and Judy show will continue... all together now "thats the way you do it Rooster, thats the way you do it!! G
  5. Marius got the Lochardil and Brew gets the Kingsmills... Says it all really.... G
  6. Todays courier carrys Warnock interview.. extracts: "Warnock himself confirmed the opportunity to be the boss of the Highland Capital side does excite him, especially as it would give him the chance to pit his wits against Smith and Strachan - two men he knows well" When up for Tokelys testimonial "He conceeds the city made a big impression on him" They way I see it yet again Warnock is saying come and get me. The way he just happens to be in Dunoon visiting relatives and is telling the papers that he will talk to ITC if they approach him. The question I ask, Is our board brave enough to drop their agenda and let a candidate with 20 years management experience and a formidable record manage the club... Graham
  7. If we are going to have a puppet as a manager. Surely Pinocchio is the best choice.. after all he has a nose that grows (so we can see the lies) and he's Italian so it follows he must no a thing or to about football.. Graham Anyone want to start a poll or better still a petition...
  8. Qualified Ref... hugely useful for bounce games..
  9. the irony of this just cracks me up!! It seems he needs permission himself, but didn't give a monkeys when it came to entertaining half our team in the Heathmount where he tryed to convice them to leave for UNITED.. Graham
  10. 4) He will fit in well at the Heathmount...
  11. Aye for when the hangover kicks in... :015: G IHE friend of the stars!!
  12. I find it interesting that Warnock is reported to be in Dunoon visiting relatives at the moment.. (whats the chances of that!) You could see this as he comes out in the press and "throws his hat in the ring" and then positions himself geographically to make face to face talks easier... Could it be he is dead keen... and is saying in no uncertain terms "come and get me!". I hope and pray so... Graham
  13. German rock got to be Vanden Plas please!!!! rather worrying Warnock saying he has not been approached yet!! G
  14. "Firstly we made a lot of money from Craig leaving for Utd. GB made the point last night that CB was forever the gentleman in the negotiations and made sure ICT got the best possible deal. How many of us would be loyal enough to our current jobs if we were offered 3,4 or 5 times our current salary. I was very aware at the time how hard a decision it was for them to go as they were enjoying life at ICT." But our board offered to match DUFC's best offer, so it wasn't money that enticed Brew to leave us it was his love of Dundee United. What worrys me, is Brew will now therefore be expecting a wage in line with what he was getting at DUFC (after all we would at the time have paid him that to stay). This will be much much more than Charlie was on.... I don't think Craig is worth this kind of money!! and I just hope and pray that the board realise that if they are going to pay big money they should be looking for a more experienced candidate.... I'm not keen on having Brew back especially on several times the wage Charlie was on... Graham
  15. And how much is Brew going to want?? Remember, not long ago, we offered to match the DUFC offer. Brew will remember that too.... and is astute enough to realise the clock is ticking! tick, tock, tick, tock.... Graham
  16. Warnock for me please.!!. :crazy07:
  17. Totally agree.. we have two target men already.. also we offered to match DUFC's wages when Brew was thinking about going. Wouldn't he now want these wages to come back. I'm with the Warnock camp. Graham
  18. Hold on a second, as far as I understand. Marius is getting 2 grand a week or so from Caley and that Savages Orion are topping this up to 4 grand a week. So he is only costing the club 2k a week... He was also brought in on a free so the club didn't pay anything to get him here. If we had brought him in from say Ross County like Cowie for ?50k on a two year deal. That is a equivelent cost to the club of ?500 a week. When you factor that in.. Marius is only costing the club ?1500 a week... That is why his signing was such a superb piece of buisness..... (by the board...!!!!) Find me another "International player with extensive top league and european experience" for ?1500 a week Graham
  19. Marius to be announced as player/manager later this week! G
  20. Aside from the Rangers game we have competed well in our other 2 matches and to my mind both could have gone either way. We are only 3 games in. Our Midfield is doing ok (Charlie has plenty options!) Our Strikers are just getting to know each others game and are not bedded in yet..better is to come I'm sure.. Our Defence needs shored up but the board have and are making moves to do this.. I wouldn't panic just yet... G
  21. 1-0 st mirren.... (miranda 19mins) oh dear!!!
  22. Can I just applaud this forward thinking responsible employer...... I developed a drink prob in my late teens early 20's. I did not realise I had crossed the line from heavy drinking into alcoholic drinking.. I was in trouble with the police, in my personal life, financial life, and in big trouble at work... It was only when I was confronted with the sack that I admitted to myself the extent of my problem. My bosses gave me one chance to sort myself out and allowed me paid leave to go to rehab... it was there I started to deal with my problem and got myself involved in a fellowship with a 12 step program who have supported me from that day on. I went back to work, and in time I was promoted. I married another member of staff.. and today have a 7year old daughter who has never seen me drunk.. I believe if I hadn't been given that chance, I probably would not be here today.. to tell this story. I guess what I'm trying to say is everyone deserves a second chance. G
