  1. Can I recommend all at the club study the works of Eckhart Tolle (bestselling author of "The Power of Now") Once you learn to be present in the Now, that Now is all you have, you can become the space for the play of form. When you free yourself from you illusory self. (your story, ego, thoughts and painbody) you become enlightened and at peace. Graham
  2. I find it amazing that he is getting a trial..!! I remember taking CB, in my Taxi when he was manager of DU. He was up here in Inverness visiting his girlfriend. If I remember Brew was asking his fellow passangers if Juanjo still had his house up here. To which I pointed out I had read that Charlie was considering Juanjo in his plans, if he could refind his form. (I think I had got this info from a article that week in th Highland News). As I remember Brew seemed very suprised that Charlie was considering him and as I remember he made some comment... that made me think he didn't rate Junanjo or his chance of finding form. Therefore folks in my opinion is a smoke screen aimed at us fans. Graham
  3. I have heard that a new contract for Zibi is likely!!
  4. There was a offer but I believe it was only 50k or so. Graham
  5. I heard last night that if Brew gets his way Zibby will be offered a new contract. :029: Frightening thing is the player that told me definately wasn't joking !! Graham
  6. Kilmarnock fans breath huge sigh of relief!! G
  7. Bottom line: Fireworks are just money up in smoke and totally bad for the enviromental. Like LG I may have made a couple of tourist extra fares. but the congestion, slowed me right down so I did less runs that night and so made less money than I usually would. My wife finished a 12 hour hospital shift a 8.45 pm it took her well over an hour to get home to Kiltarlity. Graham
  8. It would be much cheaper to replace Duncan, than Marius thats another reason why Marius commands a higher wage packet. Why do have we so many midfielders, because there is no shortage of half decent ones out their therefore wages and transfer fees are less. Market forces folks.. Strikers go for far more money.. because their are less half decent ones out there. Marius is on a high wage yes, but remember we didn't have to pay a transfer fee. If we had had to pay a transfer fee for a striker to replace Dargo would we not have been looking at 250k +... Graham
  9. Can I recommend a reliable, honest, friendly and inexpensive garage to you. Les McLaren's garage on Carsegate Road, Inverness As a taxi driver my car is my living and when you do 50 000 miles per anum you need the best. Les has been brilliant over the years... not just with the taxi but with all my familys cars.. Graham
  10. P & J says both Deano and Ritchie are going on trial to Yeovil. Graham
  11. He will come good! It's a fitness and confidence thing. He was awsome against Gretna but in that game he was used as a sub. He ain't got 90 min legs yet. Graham
  12. I think we will live to regret the day we let Morgan go.. he deserved more at ITC. Graham
  13. Rankin will move to St Mirren. A solid offer of 49k was put on the table this week but Caley rejected it (according to sportsound today) This was obviously just a first bid. If St Mirren up in by 20-30k , and Rankin wants away I'm sure the club won't stand in his way. Graham
  14. According to one of the commentators on sportsound this afternoon. Saint Mirren tabled a 49 k bid for Rankin this week, and had the offer rejected. Anyone heard this elsewhere? Graham
  15. In todays courier Brew announces he want's to sell Rankin in January and recover some of the 65k he cost. Oh, and he has decided to put McAllister in the squad for Saturday. Graham
  16. Personally, I hope CB gets the bullet (sooner rather than later!) for the sake of the club! Graham
  17. Marius will be in for Bayne next week.. Graham
  18. I don't rate Brewster the manager at all. He is tactical Buffoon ! Graham
  19. "If a man gets into my taxi and starts the usual 'woman driver' rubbish, first I give him the option to walk (nobody has taken me up on this yet)" I certainly wouldn't be advising my wife to do that!. That might be OK banter during a day shift. But on a Night shift that kind of attitude could be seen by drunk and drugged customers as antagonistic and could easily lead to violence. Being as laid back as possible is the safest way to be.. As Inverness becomes a city it starts to get the problems cities get. Assaults on taxi drivers in Sneck are becoming common, personally I have been assaulted and so have many of my colleagues. I am currently looking at fitting CCTV to my cab and am seriously considering running a proper cab (although a hugely!! expensive option) with a metal barrier between the passengers and me. Like the LT's and E7's have. Driving a taxi has become according to the trade mags the most dangerous occupation in the UK out with the army whilst this might be a slight exaggeration, it is the case that several serious assaults and deaths in the line of duty are being recorded every year. Graham
  20. To my mind Strike action will achieve nothing except get the public/business backs up. This in turn will weaken public support for a nationalised postal industry. All you are doing is bringing yourselves one step closer to being privatised... G
  21. Is Johndo ok, he hasn't posted on here since the incident! Then again perhaps he's lying low and contemplating action of some kind. !? It's time someone stood up to this nonsense! Graham
  22. I cannot get involved in this argument as both my wife and I drive a taxi in sneck. However, female taxi drivers get much better tips.. fact!! Guys get in cab, make jokes about having a female driver. Realise the girl can drive, get to their destination safely and then feel obliged to tip because they feel bad that they have taken the micky. (their is also a novelty value still in finding a female cabby!) They also get "girl power tips", as female passangers like having a female driver and admire female taxi drivers for doing what has traditionally been a mans job. I will however make some non sex observations. Worst drivers I find on the whole, are found in the oap group. It's their total unpredictability that makes them a danger to others. Boy racers are bad drivers (fast, aggressive) but predictable. Graham PS. LG if your reading this love to hear your comments. Graham
  23. Cannot help feel his comments re security will get cut tommorow. Well done young man!! Read it now before Mike Smith chokes on his breakfast and gets straight on the phone demanding a edit. G
  24. He is just spinning himself away from his interest in ITC. Dosen't do him any favours to be linked to mino's like us and to lose out to CB. He was interested, interested enough to come out in the press at the time and say so!. Interested enough to put himself in a closer geographical location to aid talks. It just all went pare shaped when Sutherland phoned him out of respect and told him we were not really advertising for a manager! We were just having to be seen to go through the motions! as we had already lined up Brewster and had promised him the job several months earlier! Graham
