  1. Too often with the unlucky, mate. You mention luck, then criticise the formation. Luck has to do with things beyond your control.
  2. No interview. Just a lot about the Huns and their overdraft. Hurrah for football.
  3. I think we will hear about the new signings not being either "fully fit" or "integrated into the team". And the weather.
  4. Sounded like the usual lacklustre pash So much for the sticking plaster. It fell off after the Partick game.
  5. He was probably just getting a few cans and crisps for the bus. Was he wearing his blazer?
  6. Proctor, are you willing to be the first person on this thread to explain what is offensive about a Palestinian flag? As for football being about escapism and politics being left at the turnstyle - who are you to decide those things? By the way, EVERYTHING is political. Proctor is right about the conflict, though the Western establishment chooses to side with Israel to a greater degree. Such is our built in fear and distrust of Islam. John has a long standing history of radical protest and, by golly, he chose the right place to get column inches. Right or wrong, he shows that we, the people, care about the people of Gaza and as such has served his purpose. If the OF didnt have such a vested interest in keeping alive the conflicts over Irish sovereignty, all thise flags would have been burned a long time ago and the neanderthals waving them, expelled for ever. As it stands, rules or no rules, our chicken **** stewarding policy is complicit in maintaining that divide.
  7. What fun! It wouldnt be a month without someone calling fo the return of Pele. Get this, Pele is not well. He has a problem related to stress. Managing a footall team generates stress, thus they are a bad mix. Yes, the footie was good, but no way would those teams have been able to compete with todays team, bottom of the SPLor not. I hope he gets well and is able to participate in some capacity. But probably not now. PS As far as I know Park is a Highlander, FW, who used to play for Caledonian FC.
  8. Yes, a lot of them seem to shrink just after Christmas.
  9. Would you like to meet and discuss your views over a large portion of pie, chips and beans? If you're lucky I might even stretch to some cake for afters. I'm in! Ill be the one in the Blue and Red top.....Sorry, was that an open offer?
  10. It has got nothing to do with being PC. It's about having respect for other people's decisions. Also in relation to my question I meant banners at games, your post obviously was referring to shirt wearing at games too. Well that's me told then But really, I don't have a problem with people wearing shirts at games (I've even done it myself [on occaison mind]), but what I do find rather sad are these big tubs of lard who wonder around in the football shirts (usually OF). It is worth pointing out that not all incidents of obesity are down to overeating, and may be a symptom of an illness r condition, rather than greed. Not in my case however.
  11. Exactly what I mean Alex , its ok for children ( a bit like playing dressing up ) but definitely not for an adult . I tick all boxes. I am both overweight and have my name on the back. I also have my age (then 47) in the number space. I never tried to think or pretend, I was a player, ad I dont think anyone that has their name on the back does too. Much more fun than having some, for example, overpaid journeyman who will be gone in a fortnight. I never wear it to a match or out on the street, though. I am trying to recall, but wen I started going to footie, early 70s, no-one wore strips to matches. I am pretty sure this was an 80s thing. Anyone know different?
  12. Certainly at this time of year. Come better weather, there nothing they love more than a jaunt up the A9, sometimes with the family on tow.
  13. Agree with most of what has been said, except about Lionel. He tried to go forward and did some good work in getting the ball into the middle or out to the wing, some nice moves. But just not reliable enough, going forward he didint track back, leaving Roy to fall back to fill in the hole on more than one occasion. Good to watch but not the answer to anything. Well chuffed to be leaving the stadium smiling for a change, but, hey, tea breaks over, lads, back on your heads.
  14. How anyone, a new poster to boot, expects to be taken seriously with a name like that....
  15. The first couple of balls into our box were met by the heed of the number 18, Mihadjuks. I think he will be an asset, though perhaps he might want to reconsider using the boot into touch so often. A great signing.
  16. Great debut, and will be an inspiration to the other players but... will Brewster quash any creativity he has, when the honeymoon is over. That said, all things being equal he will be enough to keep us up barring the fact that he will be the subject of much attention. Eggs in one basket syndrome.
  17. Don't forget Charlie Christie - he could write the book on "simulation"!
  18. That will be the replacement for Bazza sorted then. Good work, though. Did Parky have a hand in this? Big thanks due then. No Casinos here, and a lot less hassle in the pubs. Edinburgh an be as bad as Glasgow for that sh1te. The culprit seemed to be very contrite in court, so hopefully it may be a one-off. Ultimately though, loan deals are sticking plasters, over the cuts that were made earlier in the season. (Did you see what I did there?) If they are any good they will go back at the end of the season, maybe even improved to play against us - Mackie anyone? If no good, we will be offered to buy them, a route which has proved succesful in the past but not particularly in the case of McGuire. All we can do is wait and see...
  19. He was bloody excellent in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! Sign him today!
  20. Job done. Well done to all who participated. Excellent answer to Mr Tulloch and Mr Grassa. The ball has been very publicly served into their court.
  21. I have a strangely very good feeling about this match and think we are going to give them a right going over.
  22. Another example of the damage the SPL has done to Scottish Football. Maybe there is a way the SFL can pick it up though???
  23. Have you ever met grassa ? I very much doubt you have as arrogant and smug he certainly is not . Hes done well for himself but hasn't forgot his roots , thoroughly decent chap . Agreed. Grassa is very rooted in the community, very Dalneigh, nice chap in my experience. However, there may be other issues that prevent his working to his fullest potential. *makes hand gesture*
  24. mmmm pretty clear that Brew is going nowhere even thoug he has to "improve". I wonder who the 3 other players are?
  25. We lost, dropped three points at home and are now adrift at the foot of the league. End of.
