  1. PR is on the up. Butcher is very soundbite worthy, and media savvy. The backstage work is also coming together with more mailshots, deals and what not. The pound seems to be rallying against the Euro again, but to my mind the rot sent in when we joined Sterling.

The way I read it after viewing it a couple of times is that Russel did indeed get the ball first, but that after that he raised his foot again. It was this that caused the trip rather than the tackle. This may have been intentional, ie to trip him up in case the ball was not sufficiently cleared, may have just been a part of his action. Either way, the fact that Russ, who is known for making his opinion clear on these matters, walked away so meekly says he is thinking it was a fair cop. NO shame on him though, remember Proctor too, took one for the team earlier in the year?
  3. I see also Noo Yawk's finest, Ronnie Thompson there too...
  4. I mind being more thna a little hacked off when Cove got in all those years back. Since when has Aberdeen been in the Highlands, and with 3 of those four well East, that is likely to get more so. Does no-one west of the Glen play football?
  5. Wasn't that was Morais, outside a casino?
  6. That was the way I saw it. Pavels seemed to get it cleanly enough. The tackle also looked outside where the box would have been. Look forward to the BBC Highlights.
  7. Not classic stuff. First half was good up and at em work, with Odiambo shining early on, but faded from the game. Imrie did not replicate last weeks classic, and nothing seemed to work for him, though he ran hard enough. Rooney seemed mia a few times going forward, perhaps he forgot what he was there for. Took his goal very well from a telling pass from Proctor, but really it was an extra man goal. Esson was solid, and the defence seem to work well together. Lionel was my MOM both for his stopping and his moving forward. The ball seemed to go to him from the midfield quite a lot and he usually found something good with his passes. Tokes on the other hand didnt seem to go forward as much, not till later. Duncan had a good game as did Foran. Missed a siiter though. Black seemed a bit quiet, but contributed sporadically. All in all a good day, Terry is working with the side and he will get better and better performances out of his squad. A couple of wins like that in the league and all bets are off. In terms of contracts andthe new chaps, get Pavels and Odiambo tied up asap!

Yes I would say this was the main reason, particulary for the celtic game I am not sure that butcher would have had that much time to work on the coaching with him, but whatever the reason it is a welcome surprise. Lionel my MOM by a country mile today, never put a foot wrong either stopping or going forward. County fans will tell you that he has some days like these, but others he is abysmal. So far he is surprise of the season. Top work.
  9. This is up Crown Drive right?
  10. So you see Maurice, all are connected from the highest paid shareholder to the lowest family season ticket holder. All have a part to play, all must work together, for the good of the pack.
  11. Yes, I think he is there, just because he is to good to miss out and Robson and McStay also needed named. Wyness and McAvennie - dream team!

Yep, that was how it panned out with a lot of mutual bacon saving going on. Even Russel was called in a few times. Proctor never really got stuck in to the same extent as Rosco, but the whole thing seemed to work. Proctor is going to be one of those players that terryanjune will remake/remodel or dump, I think. He showed a lot when he was first here, but since coming back with his patron, things have been a good bit more quiet.
  13. Looking at the BBC highlights, I think Foran has an attackers instinct. He looked to be getting into good positions whilst Imrie was on the ball and Barrowload, scratching his arse and admiring the seagulls. As for his OS goal, yes it was OS but more for Duncan who should have chased back once he moved the ball back in. A few of those toay. Mere quibble though.
  14. Strachan was his usual ingarcious little sh1te in interview. It was as if we had no right to play to get a result, and should have given Celtic "room to play". Not only was he wrong, he was als diplaying the usual OF self righteous mentality so behated in Scotland. I believe one of his nicknames is Chesney. Can any reader give its derivation? One of the translations of WGS is Wee Gordy Strachan.
  15. Yes agreed and while a lot have also have been calling for Rooney while I agree he has potential he still needs to prove himself, I think Butcher is right in thinking Rooney and Barrowman are on a level playing field to begin with , one thing I totally disagree with is that IMRE is a striker I dont think he has the composure for that I thought Imrie was a scorcher today - harried ceaselesly and while he may lack a bit of ball control, he was never safe to be forgotten by Celtic. On the radio, Terry said words to the efect that yeah 4-4-2, all the lads are comforable with that. And that is a close as we are ever going to get from an indictment of the previous manager from him. As a PS, I want to say how pleasantly surprised I was by Lionel. While his distribution was untrustworthy, his stopping was just the job. I hope he stays.
  16. He was awful today, vast majority of mistakes and seemed to want t blame everyone else. I would assume that TerryandJune will make mistakes as they get to know the chaps, but can only hope that Barrowload only gets better of gets out.
  17. Great to have the pair of you on board and to hear that you are moving up here. Enjoy your new life. If you are near Culbokie drop in for a cuppa. I am sure you will be surprised at the quality of players you have here and how easily you will get the best of them. Oh yeah, and we want top 6 this year.
  18. I never met the chap, but he certainly had a cheeky wee Hun face, and that is a poor start if we ever were to be introduced. I have heard that he was a sarcastic smarty pants to the lads during training.
  19. "Terry and June". I like it and am going to use it. Lost on the youngsters, mind.
  20. So are you saying he is an SPL player?? I personally think he is. I think Alex means he went straight from the 2nd to the SPL, and I think he has settled in very well. The best is yet to come.
  21. Wait a minute, that's eight candidiates!
  22. hahaha I dont remember that. I wonder how whe felt when he heard the news that Brew was coming back!!
  23. Yep, I remember that. Two of them exactly the same within 5 mins of each other. That game was his calling card. I mind Robson scoring a cracking curver at Tinkwall in div 1.
  24. This is 100% correct, except it is Sutton and Knox. From a member of the Heathmount Mafia in exile. Which is nice.

I did, I was sure it was going in the net :thumb04: Looking forward to seeing it, and hopefully silence the naysayers who doubt Imries quality. He will continue to improve and shake off the "Mr. Inconsistent" tag. A top acquisition.
