Yep, excellent coverage. I also liked the fact they gave every player a 5 star rating in their player of the week bit :clapping04:

Club for me everytime(though being Welsh I don't get much to cheer watching them :007:) I just can't get worked up about internationals in the same way I can with ICT. I'm with you RIG, I went absolutely mental at home when Bayne scored Saturday, and again at the final whistle.
  4. Will yesterdays historic victory have any impact on next weeks attendance? Surely the people of Inverness have no reason to be apathetic towards their home town team anymore. They've a team on their own doorstep who are more than capable of competing with the best in this country, a team who don't get the recognition, or support, they deserve. I'd certainly like to think yesterdays victory will add a few more to next weeks gate.....let's hope that's the case.
  5. Blackie was signed by Robbo wasn't he?
  6. I always said the Bayne/Dargo partnership was the best :001: Fair play to him he was in on it like a flash(even if he was offside). Having watched the goal approx 500 times now :015: it still looks like it took a wee deflection off the keepers foot.....who cares anyway, it ended up in the back of the net. After being sent off there last season I'm really pleased for Bayne. One thing I did notice about the goal as well though was Dargos control, speed, and directness. The way he brought that header down was superb, then he had no other thoughts than to run directly at the defence. Well done wee man, and especially well done big man.

It took me about 30mins to flick through all the papers in Tesco this morning and without fail, every single one of them focused on Rangers failings rather than on our performance :008: One day we'll get the credit we deserve.
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...rem/6044556.stm The look on the hun fans faces, as our players celebrate, is priceless :015: :015: :015:
  9. I might just go and have a few myself later :drinking09: :drinking09: :drinking09: Anyone else having trouble keeping a big grin off their face??????? :001:
  10. Absolutely brilliant :015: :015: :015: The one time I can't make it and we win!!
  11. 3mins to go...C'Mooooooooooooooooooooooon
  12. C'mon boys....20mins to hang on!!!!!!
  13. Oh, and haven't these contract talks gone on for the best part of six months now?? That's the way it seems anyway.
  14. I think Dargo is the key player in our team. We need to keep him at all costs IMO. He hasn't had the greatest of starts to this season, but then some of the stuff we've played has been tactically dire. We're not playing to his strengths at all and I don't think him and Bayne are an effective partnership up front. There were times last season when just watching the way Craig was hounding opposition defences made the whole game worthwhile, we need to refind that sort of form. He's taken a bit of unfair stick already this season but he's far and away our best striker, and certainly our best source of goals. Here's hoping the wee man bangs a few in tomorrow :notworthy01:
  15. Can't make it this time. Alex...I always park in a wee industrial estate up by where all the coaches park. Go up past the official car park and it's just to the right, a two minute walk to the ground. There's usually a couple of neds hanging about there with the old 'quid to look after your car mate' scam....which is better than the £7 to park in the car park, and is preferable to getting back to find your car bashed in! Though last time the polis were patrolling the area so the neds weren't there....free parking.
  16. This is also concerning our lack of off-field professionalism. I coach our village P6/7 age group, and took them imto TCS on Sunday for the soccer-sevens tournament. It was a miserable day, the heavens opened all through the tournament. Nevertheless all the teams turned out, plus many parents to watch. I'd estimate there was a good 300-400 people there. Now on such a miserable day, and with a healthy turn out at the stadium, the least you'd have expected the club to do was open up one of the coffee bars. Nope....not a single one. Parents spent half their time making coffee/snack runs into town. Surely the club should have realised the potential was there to make some extra cash, no matter how little. It didn't reflect well on ICT, judging by some of the comments I heard.

But with constant long balls we're playing to Baynes strengths, not Dargos. Hit it high and you'd expect Bayne to at least win a good percentage of the headers, so obviously it looks like he's doing the most work. The trouble is his flick ons never go where they're supposed to! Bayne can give 100% every game, he can chase down every lost cause, but he's got no composure at all in front of goal. We need strikers who can score, not ones who the best we can hope for is total effort. I'd have more faith in a Dargo playing *****, than a Bayne playing at his best, to get us goals.
  18. I don't think it was deliberate, ....in saying that he COULD probably have made a wee bit more effort to avoid Munro, but I don't think he actually 'stamped' down on him.
  19. I thought yesterday was almost as bad as the D Utd game. It was only when Sutherland came on that we seemed to up the tempo, CC should start him at Ibrox. It's a game no-one expects us to get anything from, so throw him in. Richie did well IMO, as did Roy....but after however many games he's had I just can't see why Rankin is still there. His attempt on goal, when one on one was *****. Hastings, after a shaky start, was the pick of the defence. He got forward loads, and actually put in some decent crosses. One thing that puzzles me is this....everyone in the crowd can see none of our defenders can pass the bloody ball, so why doesn't CC make that a priority in training? I also couldn't believe it when Dargo was hooked instead of Bayne. Dargos movement off the ball is fantastic to watch, but we have so few players who have the ability to pick out these runs that they're all done in vain. Baynes flick ons are a waste of time, they simply go here, there, and everywhere. After all the talk by Charlie about changing tactics at home, we still got served up the same old turgid stuff. If it hadn't been for a lucky last minute goal we'd have all been raging on here.

    I should've just said....is he becoming a liabilty???

I wasn't at the game today, but from listening to the radio commentary it sounded as like Ian would've been sent off if CC hadn't hooked him at half time. I don't know how many bookings he's amassed now but it seems as if it's been one every game!! Now we all know how good a player Ian CAN be, but so far this season he's not been the player we all rate. He seems hellbent on building his reputation as the 'hard tackling, no-nonsense' wee midfielder. Fine, but he must be due a suspension now, or very soon. Fair enough, we can all argue maybe some of these bookings were unwarrented(D,Utd last week), but in the main he's lucky he's not been sent off already this season. Fair play to Charlie for seeing that was inevitable today. Personally I think Blackie could do with a wee cooling off period. Yes I know the 'bite' is part of his game, but it's not as if he's playing that well at the moment, so maybe now is the time for Charlie to stamp his managerial position on the team and tell Blackie to sort himself out or face a spell on the bench.
  22. I'd have taken a point before the game, but with the near total domination we had in the second half it's a bit disappointing we didn't get the win. Oh well, let's try and get this bloody home form sorted for next week.
  23. Utd 0 Motherwell 1 :015: :015: :015:
  24. Well, he just about lasted 45 mins....Charlie obviously realised Black was in danger of getting himself sent off so took him off.
  25. Fair enough aye, but he's not been found guilty of anything yet. So by banning him from away grounds then they're handing out punishments for cases that haven't even been proven yet.
