  1. Much better than last week. :003: Brown...didn't have much chance with the goal. Made one decent save from a Smith free kick, other than that I can't mind him having much to do. Kicking much better this week. Tokely...started off very shakily, but improved as the game went on. Dods....Poor. His mind seems to be elsewhere at the moment :006: Munro...excellent :clapping04: Hastings....excellent as well I thought. McBain...worked well with Hastings. Got forward a lot. Should retain the left spot. Black...hmmmm, Iain really needs to concentrate on what he's good at..football!! He seems to lunge in too readily, too easily, and it can overtake the footballing side of his game at times. Far from his best. Rankin...Not sure what to make of him yet. Shows a lot of neat, decent touches, but there were times today I forgot he was playing. Barry...MOTM???? No way, I thought Barry was poor. Got the goal though :clapping04: :clapping04: Wyness...Dennis just isn't doing it, still! :006: Dargo....battled with Anderson all afternoon, got frustrated at times at nothing going his way. Missed a sitter before the equaliser. I thought he was a bit lucky to get just a yellow when he lunged at Anderson, but was then almost cut in half by a disgraceful challenge by Foster?? minutes later. Subs... Bayne...well, I'm not Grahams greatest fan, but he did more in the short time he was on than Dennis did all game. Rory...no real time to make an impact. Keogh...don't think he touched the ball! Other than their goal I can't think Aberdeen had another decent chance all match? We were well worthy of a point, all 3 wouldn't have been undeserved. As I said, a million times better than last week. Changes for next week....Caff in for Dods. 2 poor games by Dods standards. If he's going to Utd then he should just go, otherwise he needs to put all the talk to one side and get back to being the defender he was last season. Bayne for Wyness? Maybe Dennis needs a rest!
  2. 3 of us :clapping04:

If he's every intention of leaving then we should cash in on him now. If we don't sell him now, then get Caff in alongside Munro, and let Dods warm the bench until he leaves.
  4. McBain!! Seriously though, where does Roy fit into all of this?? Never let us down, naturally left footed.....

Sorry Johnboy, I thought this was a forum for the fans to discuss all things ICT? Now let's just say Golly had played a blinder yesterday, scored a hat-trick, made several goal-line clearances etc then I'd have been the first on here posting the 'Golly...best left back ever!' thread. Nobody would have complained about 'singling' out players then would they?? Unfortunately he was awful though. I agree there were others who had very poor games, but sadly Golly started *****, then just got worse. Players are quick enough to take the praise, if they can't take the rough as well, they shouldn't be playing. And if he does read this? Good, I hope he does(though I hope he spent so much time on passing practice today that he didn't get time for any internet browsing!). It might let him know that we, as fans, expect better than what we got yesterday. The best answer to all this is for Golly to get his act together, and shove it right back at al the critics. I'd be happier than anyone if that was the case. Unfortunately, if he gets another chance next week, it'll be more than just Golly getting it in the neck.

Agree 4ize. I save hard for my season ticket every year, just like most, and everyone who pays their hard earned money to support our club has the right to express their dissatisfaction if what they've paid for is pish. When players play as badly as Golly did today, then they can expect abuse. I'll be the first to praise them if they do well, but I won't hide the criticism when they're *****. I gave up counting Golly's misplaced passes after he exceeded 5 in the first 10 minutes today.
  7. Good, I'd make a few myself. I'd go.... Fraser Tokely Munro Dods Hastings Wilson Black Duncan McBain Dargo Wyness(only because Bayne's **** and Rory's not much better).

Sorry, the whole team was gash, but one player stood head and shoulders above everyone else with his gashness. Golly put in such an embarrassing performance I thought he deserved his own thread! I've never heard a substitution greeted with such loud applause before, especially when it's your captain too. Sorry Golly, but learn to pass to a player(preferably one in ICT colours) who's stood no more than 10yds away, before trying the fancy 50yd crossfield balls. 'kin **** :017: :017: :017:
  9. Other than the first 15 mins of the second half we were absolute pish. We were too deep, the passing was awful, and there was no creativity at all. St Mirren fully deserved the points. Brown...I've said it before, but I really don't believe Brown deserves all the adulation heaped on him. Great shotstopper aye, but his kicking is a joke, and he doesn't command his box. To be honest I'd like to see Michael given a shot. The defence was woeful. If that's how Dods is going to play then we should sell immediately. Munro was *****, McCaffrey isn't a RB....and as for Golly :017: I'm not sure I've ever been more embarressed by a players performance. He was shocking. Midfield....Rankin was ok, did well for the goal. Barry tried, but with no joy. Blackie....I thought he was awful too. Ditto what I said about Dods. MOTM for me was Russell, god knows why he was hooked. Dargo took his goal well. Dennis played better than I've seen him play for a while. If we repeat that next week we're in for a loooooooooooooooong season.
  10. Surely Proctor must be so far behind the others in terms of match fitness he wouldn't be included anyway. As for Black.....ach, feck it, all this 'speculation' is really getting on my tits. Roll on tomorrow so we can get on with it, regardless of who's in the team or not, I can't wait!

I was wondering the same. If he doesn't feature today then I might just start getting worried :007:
  12. I thought Rankin was ok as well. Bayne is just simply not good enough. Denzil has been complete pish for the last 6 months, if we had another half decent striker then Dennis would be sat on the bench every week if he carries on like this. And as for Golabek :008: What's the point in trying to play fancy 50metre cross field balls when he can't even play it to a team mate stood 10 yards away???? I hope he was watching Unnsworth tonight because every single pass Unsworth made was simple, and precise. McBain and Duncan were by far our best performers I thought.
  13. Brown Caff Dods Munro Hastings Wilson Black Keogh Rankin Dargo Wyness
  14. Agree. If the wee man picks up an injury, then our options up front are reduced to Wyness/Rory/Bayne....none of them inspire me with much hope at the moment.

I asked, while getting my season ticket the other week, and got told that the club were waiting to hear from the SPL if the scheme would be continued this year. If it is continued then we'll participate in the scheme. Surely the SPL have to continue this. I saved a fortune taking two wee ones on away days last season, something I'm not sure I could do if I had to pay for them.

Assuming Juve get relegated, Fabio will probably be on the look out for a new club. I know he's getting on a bit, and aye, he's a bit wee for a central defender....but I reckon he could do a decent job for us. What a player!! Easily the best defender in world football, and easily the player of the tournament.
  18. Since Brew went, the speculation about who's leaving to join him has been rife. Since he went, it also seems like we've been trying to secure players on longer term contracts. I seem to recall Dargo being offered an extension to his current contract long before the season was over. Yet despite reading of all these contract offers over the last few months, and constantly being told things are looking good, nobody has actually signed an extension have they?? Tokely did(I think), but that was no surprise. If we are supposedly breaking the bank to get these players on long term contracts, and none of them are signing, isn't that just a wee bit worrying?? We may well hang on to the likes of Blackie, Dargo etc for another season, but that just means an even more settled team will be being broken up next summer.
  19. Interesting to hear CC saying the gap between the two has lessened. Does anyone think Michael might be just as good as Brown, or even more, better than him?? Brown is fantastic, no question, and he's won us a fair few points over the years. His shotstopping is second to none. BUT...I get nervous everytime there's a decent cross into our box, I don't think the communication between keeper/defence is all it should be at times, and his kicking out is....well, fecking awful!! From what I've seen of Michael, he commands his box better, and his kicking is superb. I know he lacks the experience, but that's simply down to Marks consistency. Put it like this...if Brownie left tomorrow, I wouldn't be a bit concerned about Michael taking the step up to the first team.
  20. It's a shame the deal can't be arranged because I think we'll lose Michael now. I was speaking to him the other week and he was keen to arrange this Livi deal so he could then get some first team experiance. Now it's fallen through I expect him to look elsewhere. He's just desperate to play, and he'll go anywhere to do that.

Sheffield Utd definitely. Heading up to Orkney the next day so will miss the County game. Can't stand friendlies anyway, they're always pish. Others...probably not.
  22. I'm getting a horrible feeling that the jammy feckers could fluke their way all the way :009: The easiest qualifying group in WC history, the worst 2nd round opponents in WC history, Portugal reserves in the quarter-finals.....it's not looking good :019: :019: And they've been playing pish too.
  23. I really wanted Croatia to score at the end just to see what would've happened. Would they have had to replay??? To be fair to Poll I thought he had a fairly decent game. There was lots going on, and he got most of it right. Saying that, booking a player 3 times takes some beating :015: :015: :015: Fantastic game though, what a chaotic ending.
  24. Argentina played as good a 90 minutes of football as I can ever remember. They were absolutely brilliant. Riquelme was something else, and as for that second goal......even better than Albertas I reckon. By a million miles the best team in the tournament, glad I got £20 on them at 8/1 :001: Are they scheduled to play England along the way?? Hope so, how good would it be to se Argentina gub 'em :015: :015: :015:
  25. No. I'm supporting Argentina, the best footballing team in the tournament IMO, and after watching them against a very good Ivory Coast team, I think my £10 on them to win it might come up trumps.
