  1. I don't think it's hysteria at all. Nobody is suggesting we have a right to beat everyone, far from it. What annoyed me about last night(and Saturday) was the performance. If we'd played well and lost, fair enough, I'd have no gripes about that. The same in any game we play....play well, lose, no complaints. Last night we were dire, Falkirk were too. They just happened to put away one of the few chances. My aspirations for ICT involve no more than seeing us play some decent football, rather than that turgid ***** I paid to watch last night. I appreciate that we're going to have off days, everyone does....but there's been a few too many 'off days' for my liking just recently. Enough to raise concerns about our season anyway. If I come away from a game thinking 'ach, the better team won, but we did well ourselves', like I did at Hearts then I'm not going to criticise anyone. As I posted last night, I don't put all the blame on CC, the players are capable of far more than they displayed last night.
  2. Bayne gives 100% every game, and he's great with his wee flick ons. Unfortunately he's absolutely ***** when the goals are in his sight......which is a bit of a drawback when you're a striker.
  3. When you're one down in a cup tie you'd expect the manager to go for it. I've no problem with CC, it's the players on the pitch who are dismally underperforming at the moment. I've no qualms if we lose but play well, but we're not playing well. I'm as one eyed as the next fan, but there's something not right with the team. I can't see how anyone can take too many positives out of that game. Yes we passed it around nicely at the start but we didn't create anything. We then resorted to the long ball. We didn't create anything. We've been that bad in the last 2 games I've been praying for the final whistle in both matches.
  4. This is how bad we were......I was praying we didn't grab an equaliser at the end so I wouldn't have to sit through another 30 minutes of that pish :008: Highlight of the night?? The free pie....
  5. I expect to see some urgency, some kind of gameplan which doesn't involve us continously humping long balls up the pitch, and if it's not to much to ask....some degree of skill. We can do it away from home, where we often play some fantastic stuff, so why not at home? Today we played a team who got gubbed 3-0 at home by Hibs last week. Other than a brief 15minute purple patch before half time today, we looked devoid of ideas. Utd were on a par with us for most of the first half, and dominated the second, possession wise. Every knock down, every 50/50 seemed to fall to one of theirs. In the second half their midfield was getting so much time on the ball it was unbelievable. This was a game we all expected our players to be fired up for, they looked the complete opposite. As I said elsewhere, there were periods in the second half that were mind numbingly boring, we just didn't play well today. Simple. I also expect a bit more than no wins, 3 points, and two goals from 4 home games. People can criticise the fans all they want, but until we start playing with the same commitment(and style?) at home, that we do away, then why should we expect locals to part with hard earned cash to watch football that even the die-hards are openly critical about? I overheard one bloke on the way out say to his mate 'well, that was a complete waste of 90 minutes of my life'. I found it hard to disagree with him.
  6. It's hard to get enthusiastic when you have to watch pish like that today. Our home form is rubbish. It's little wonder the fans can't be arsed, numberswise, and vocalwise. The team HAVE to start performing and giving us something to get worked up about.
  7. Did anyone else notice Tokely's wee dig in Brewsters back at one of Utd's free kicks?
  8. Agree totally Kencar, apart from that wee spell at the end of the first half we were absolute rubbish. There seemed to be no urgency at all. In fact, I could quite happily have nodded off in the second half I was that bored! Apart from Brown, McBain, Dods, and Munro I don't think anyone else came out of that with much credit. Roscoe must hate the sight of Conway, he got turned inside out by him today. Utd certainly looked the more likely to win it in the second half, and the longer it went on the more the nightmare vision of Brewster grabbing the winner came closer.....fotunately he looked his age today I thought. Would Roscoe shot have gone in without Dargo's finish in the first half?
  9. I reckon the players will be right up for this one, and I'm confident we'll take all 3 points. The Utd defence was gash against Hibs last week, we need to play on Dargo's pace to expose them at the back. The one thing that worries me is I can just imagine Brewster saying to his team...'Get into wee Blackie, kick him around, get him to snap'. Ian needs to keep his cool tomorrow no matter what the provocation. D'you think Brew will play himself at any stage?
  10. Agree that McBain needs to be in there. I thought he was our MOM against Hearts, and he's been good all season. I wonder about the likes of Hart who surely has a point to prove against Brew. In the game at Utd last year he was outstanding, I'm sure he raised his game because of who it was. That said, there's really no-one who can be dropped at the moment.
  11. Don't really care as long as we gub 'em!! In fact, this is the match I want to win most in our whole season. :001: Not toooooooo sure the players will need much motivation for this one will they??
  12. I wasn't at the game, but listening to the radio commentary, it sounded like Mark was anything but 'exceptional' dealing with crosses today. Commentary seemed to suggest he flapped at a fair few of them. Maybe someone who was there can comment on that? I do think dealing with crosses is one of Mark's weaknesses. He certainly never inspires me with confidence everytime he comes for a high ball. Saying that......still can't get over his save early in the game against Hearts last week. Amazing stuff.
  13. Or DAVID Morgan according to the caption under the picture of him in todays HN :017:(mind, it also says Dods in the caption, and he's not even in the photo!!) This weeks Courier said Munro was 26, which surprised me a wee bit. I thought he was younger.
  14. Now that the window's closed, and the endless speculation is over, I was wondering why, through all the talk did Grant Munro's name not come up? Since he broke into the side a few seasons back I can't think of a single game where I came away thinking 'Ach, Grantie was pish today'. People go on about Dods contribution to the defence, yet Munro never seems to attract the same accolades. He's young, got pace, and is reliable as the proverbial reliable thing. And his 3905 long throws have resulted in at least one goal that I can remember :015:
  15. It should've been £10(£1 concession). That would add another 1000 on to the gate easily I reckon.
  16. Ach, just joking Alex :001: I agree, the deal is done and dusted. Great news IMO :clapping04: :clapping04: :clapping04:
  17. The article headline says he has signed the contract. The article itself says it's just a matter of getting Blackies agent up here to do the business. I'm not so sure they'd have come out with such a definite headline if it wasn't true. Other news reports always seem to say the players are 'ready' to sign. I'm totally pissed off with all these statements we keep releasing regarding players and contracts(what's happened to Dargos??), it's just making us look amateurish as a club. For once though I do believe this one, and I do believe Black has/will signed the contract extension. If he fecks off to Hibs tomorrow then both me and the HN are gonna look right twats :001:
  18. ...according to the Highland News. Good stuff :clapping04: It also says we're close to signing a striker before the deadline, but this is dependent on the selling club being able to get a replacement in. No idea who it might be though.
  19. IMO McBain was easily our MOM. He took players on every time he got the ball, and he covered Hastings non stop. Our defence is worrying. Last year they were fantastic, this year they're the opposite. Hastings/Munro..fine, Dods and Tokely just aren't there at all. Up front we're severely lacking. Wyness just isn't doing it, Bayne gives everything but I just can't see him getting us 15 goals a season, and Rory :017:...for such a big bloke he falls over way to easily. As I said earlier, wothout Dargo we look a far lesser team, but we can't keep relying on one person to get us the goals. Oh, midfield. Blackie and Rankin...both very good players, but I do begin to wonder if we're missing the solidity of Russell in there?? I don't know what the answer to that one is...
  20. I wouldn't say it was the best, or worst, we've played this season...we were very good for long spells, but so were Hearts. At 2-1 we were still very much equal to them, if Barry had put in that cross who knows how it'd ended(how the feck did he miss!! :009:) I thought Hastings was ok as it goes, but Tokely was completely gash. They tore him a new arse down the right side time after time, and his mistake for their decisive third was awful. What worries me is we look a lot less an effective team without Dargo in it. We need someone to play alongside him who can score as well!
  21. I must warn you I've got a bad dose of the shits myself at the moment MG :001: If you still want a lift give me a call on my mobile tomorrow, about 10ish (i'm away to the pub just now) on 07956388784, and I'll arrange to pick you up. Where abouts roughly?
  22. I imagine there'll be loads turning up without tickets, and there being a lot of fecked off people tomorrow. Surely if people turn up in ICT colours, ticketless, and there's loads of empty seats in the away end, they're not just going to turn them away are they?? Seems a really dumb policy.
  23. I'll be travelling down to Tynie on Saturday minus the two wee ones I normally take(they've decided that running in our local games is more important :006:....I said I'd best still go so I can send them regular updates). I'll be heading through Inverness about 11ish(best watch one race at least!), and I'll be coming straight back up the road after the match. If anyone, or three, need a lift then let me know Cheers.
  24. Mendes should've been booked for diving.
