  1. I wouldn't say it was the best, or worst, we've played this season...we were very good for long spells, but so were Hearts. At 2-1 we were still very much equal to them, if Barry had put in that cross who knows how it'd ended(how the feck did he miss!! :009:) I thought Hastings was ok as it goes, but Tokely was completely gash. They tore him a new arse down the right side time after time, and his mistake for their decisive third was awful. What worries me is we look a lot less an effective team without Dargo in it. We need someone to play alongside him who can score as well!
  2. I must warn you I've got a bad dose of the shits myself at the moment MG :001: If you still want a lift give me a call on my mobile tomorrow, about 10ish (i'm away to the pub just now) on 07956388784, and I'll arrange to pick you up. Where abouts roughly?
  3. I imagine there'll be loads turning up without tickets, and there being a lot of fecked off people tomorrow. Surely if people turn up in ICT colours, ticketless, and there's loads of empty seats in the away end, they're not just going to turn them away are they?? Seems a really dumb policy.
  4. I'll be travelling down to Tynie on Saturday minus the two wee ones I normally take(they've decided that running in our local games is more important :006:....I said I'd best still go so I can send them regular updates). I'll be heading through Inverness about 11ish(best watch one race at least!), and I'll be coming straight back up the road after the match. If anyone, or three, need a lift then let me know Cheers.
  5. Mendes should've been booked for diving.

Charlie doesn't even appear to acknowledge the subbed player, let alone shake their hand!
  7. What a f'kin tackle!! Ben obviously doesn't believe in namby pamby, half hearted 'tackling' :010: Mendes is lucky to still be alive after that assault! I think Thatcher could be facing quite a lengthy ban...
  8. Bayne played really well I thought. Dennis didn't. I'd swap Bayne for Dennis on Saturday. Morgan was excellent as well, other than that the rest were very ordinary.....mind, some were crap too. Not much of a game, we were lucky to go in level at HT, but we totallt dominated in the second half. At least we're through is probably the best way of looking at it.
  9. Bloody good at free kicks though :006:
  10. Rankin certainly LOOKS like he has what it takes, and in all the matches so far he's shown glimpses of real quality. The trouble so far is that he tends to drift out of the game quite a lot, and there's times when it's easy to forget he's on the park. Give him time though. As for Dennis....I don't know what's wrong with him but he's a shadow of the player we know he can be. I agree his general game around the field has been much improved the last few games, but he's there to score...and he just doesn't look like doing that. He hasn't scored since February now?? If that was any striker other than Dennis they'd be getting a lot more flak IMO. Dargo has had a quiet couple of games by his standards, but his link up play, and his first touch are exceptional still. He's a very confident player too, unlike Dennis, and you just know that sooner, rather than later he's going to do something. Dargo would be the first player on my teamsheet every week. Mind, this long high ball ***** we've seen a lot of recently it doesn't help either Dennis or Dargs. We have to get back to playing to our, and their strengths....the ball to their feet. Two diddymen up front will never stand a chance against 6ft+ defenders if we keep knocking it high to them.
  11. We should go with our strongest team, and get a resounding win. It will boost Dennis's confidence no end if he can get himself a goal or two, likewise Dargo. A decent win will set us up nicely for Hearts next week, they're there for the taking...they'll be knackered, and down, after their trip to Greece this week.
  12. They can't say we didn't warn them :015: :015: :015:http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?...;mid=2135985147

Good team Harry, one I'd like to see. Don't think Charlie will agree though.

He was crap aye, but to be fair, his crapness worked in our favour with Hastings. His manhandling of Sproule(was it?) on the deck could've easily got him a red, instead of the yellow he received.
  15. That was easily the best we've played this season IMO. We DO look really good when we keep it down, and while we did just boot it anywhere at times today, there was a definite improvement on the first two games. Very entertaing game for a 0-0, Hibs certainly played their part :clapping04:
  16. I thought he was fantastic today. For me he was easily our best player. Couldn't work out why Charlie saw a need to replace him. I'd have thought Rankin would've been the ideal candidate. From what I've seen of him he's certainly got some nice touches, and he's got plenty of skill, but it's easy to forget he's on the pitch at times. And he also contributed to the comedy moment of the day....him trying to nudge in front of the 9ft Hibs defender in the defensive wall :015: :015: :015:

Totally agree. Proctor gives us cover in a range of positions. He's never let us down, in fact, he's always impressed whenever he's had the chance. And he's still young. What was the score/scorers??

I'd make a couple of changes from Saturday... Brown Tokely Munro Caff Hastings Wilson Rankin Black McBain Dargo Bayne Drop Dods from now, make Tokely or Wilson captain. Denzil needs a rest!
  19. I like Bayne, his effort is always 100%, but I still don't think he's SPL quality. In saying that I thought we looked a much better team when he came on against Aberdeen on Saturday. He did more in just a wee time on the pitch than Dennis did in 70mins. And strangely, rather than the expected high balls up front, we started to play some decent on the deck stuff. I'd start him on Saturday.

Get rid of him now. If he doesn't want to play for us then he shouldn't be in the team. He's been brilliant for the past two seasons, but so far this season he's been *****. His heart obviously isn't in it anymore, regardless of how well he celebrates our goals.
  21. Does this not leave us a bit short on defensive options? Hastings Dods(for how long??) Munro Caff Tokely Golly Any others??

I noticed he wasn't even in the squad on Saturday...is he injured?? Or just dropped? I know he didn't get on with Brew too well, but when Charlie took over he seemed to come into the frame more. In fact, he played really well towards the end of the season IMO. Any news?
  23. That was the impressive statistic quoted for us on the radio last night....and two of them were away to Celtic. If only we could get the home form sorted out :017:
  24. What was Dargo's tackle on Anderson like? I was fully expecting the card to be red as he just seemed to lash out at him.
  25. Totally agree. We're a different team when we keep it on the ground. Our defenders seem too concerned with just getting it away, rather than look for the simple pass.
