  1. Will the East stand (you know where I mean) be available to our supporters or is it all reserved for Liddypool fans?
  2. I will sponsor you IHE and will see you in the Innes - PROVIDING I get a reply to my PM of a couple of weeks ago.
  3. Alex, I see you think that season ticket holders should NOT have priority on tickets because it's a testimonial. Well, season ticket holders, along with other regular supporters, such as share holders, staff, supporters club members, trust mambers, etc should ALWAYS have priority over those part-timers who only come to watch the 'so called big teams' etc. And, fyi, I don't include you and your good lady in that.
  4. Quote from Alex - "If I was to give notice that I was leaving my employer I'd still be expected to work all the days I was being paid for. " I thought you worked offshore Alex. As far as I remember, if you put in your notice offshore, you're on the next chopper to the beach! ormaybe things have changed in the last 12 years?
  5. If the team plays badly, it isn't always down to the Manager & coach. If the team plays well, it isn't always down to the manager and coach. If the players perform badly because they are dissatisfied with their contractual situation, that is definitely down to the players and probably also down to the management. However....... If the team selection is crap that is down to the manager. If the team tactics are wrong, that is down to the manager. If the substitutes are made too late in the game and the players coming on are unable to alter the game, that again is down to the manager. If there is a loss of control in the dressing room that is also down to the manager and coach. If the players display an open contempt of the management, that is again down to the manager and coach. I would say, on the basis of the above, It's time he and the poacher went!

We had a new home shirt this season - same design but with 'Flybe' instead of 'Onetouch'. :015: :015: :015:

Just watched the "highlights" of the Hibs game and, while I know you can't judge from a few minutes play, it was Duncan who lost the ball in midfield on both occasions when they scored. He didn't even bother to chase back for the first one - left that to Marius. If he's so determined to get away, I say we should bench him for the rest of the season and bring in one of our younger players who does want to play for us. Why should we continue to showcase his talent (or lack) if we won't benefit from his leaving under Bosman.
  8. well said Scotty. I was at the game tonight and can honestly say I haven't seen us play so badly all season. There wasn't a player on the pitch who might have been considered worth his salt tonight. Only about 200 brave souls from the north - all extremely disappointed. Firstly puzzled by the team selection - who wasn't eh? secondly puzzled by the tactics - long punt to Bayne every time - about 5% success rate! Thirdly, really disappointed by the performance :32: :33:. Defence was awful, including Fraser. Midfield didn't gel at all. Up front, if Bayne headed right, Wyness went left and vice versa. Slight pick up in the second half but too late. As usual, subs too late! Saw Grasser in Perth filling station later and he said, "long way to go on a night like this for that......."! He didn't finish the sentence. URGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ps Should say that Well played the ball on the ground most of the game and didn't seem to have a problem with the pitch. Also, many thanks to the Well Social Club for warm welcome before the game and to the police for their good natured and polite responses to our queries about where to park etc
  9. While I agree with Don about the economics of the situation, it doesn't make it any easier to bear. That Hibs can sell a less than average SPL defender for 1.5 million and then buy from us a better than average SPL midfielder for 110,000 it angers me. But we have to accept that in spite of our exalted position as a middle-of-table SPL team, when it comes to income and finance we are lower than the English 2nd (ie. 4th) division. If you consider that a team relegated from the Premiership gets a compensation package of over 20 million and we'd be lucky to gross that in 5 seasons, it sort of puts thing into perspective. We won't see any turn round in this situation until our younger supporters grow up and start bringing their kids to ICT instead of breeding OF or Aberdeen supporters. When we start to see average crowds of over 7500 we just won't have the financial clout. That bluddy Belgian Bosman has a lot to answer for.
  10. Krist Rig. If I keep agreeing with you we might have to get married. :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07: :crazy07:
  11. :019: :019: :019: :019: Boo-hoo. weeStie can't make it. In Soufampton for Festive season. Have a great time everyone. lol to L-G and Mee and esp Mrs Pauliebee xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  12. I was one of those who objected to his return. after the last 4 results I may be forced to eat sh!t but not til the end of the season. We can't go on playing 4-5-1 all season.
  13. I hate to admit to agreeing with RIG or Clacher but both have expressed a lot of good sense. Rankin has to stay if we hope to play stylish football that might help us survive. I questioned Brewsters return at the time and i question it again. Some of his decisions are atrocious and he still doesn't know how to change a team mid game.

very disappointing turn-out from fans. Maybe the sweetie rustlers were all at remembrance day parades but where were the lads parents and families. BTW, it was effin freezin.
  15. Just thought I'd pre-empt things and save the rest of you the trouble. We're dooomed Captain Bennett! We're doooomed! PS Hope he reads this and getsx the message.
  16. I am tempted to return my season ticket and request a refund. I bought it in good faith that the club senior management would always consider the best way forward for the club and the fans. Appointing a management never-has-been like Brewster is NOT a step forward. Frankly, I'd rather go support County every week. Judging from the replies above there must be close on 80% of the forum totally against having him back.
  17. Over the years I've supported a number of teams, mostly depending on where I lived but I am first and foremost a football supporter. I was taken to my first Clach game in 1949 - my godfather was an ardent Clach fan. A few years later I was converted to Caley who have been my number one team since. As a teenager in the fifties we were expected to have a senior team to support and I chose Motherwell 'cos I liked their style of play. they had a fantastic team in the late 50's and early 60's. When I lived in Edinburgh I supported Hibs. In the Jock Stein era and for many years after, Celtic were my 'big' team but I kept on supporting the teams near where I lived including, QPR, Chelsea, Stafford Rangers, Ajax, Feyenoord, Newcastle and Ipswich. However, since returning to Inverness about 7 years ago ICT have been my BIG team. This doesn't stop me from going to other games if I can't get to ours and on Saturday I went to Dingwall after the Huns game to support our local rrivals. Last year when we beat the Huns at Ibrox I was at Dingwall for hospitality and had the nerve to wear my ICT tie which gave me great pleasure as 4 of the other guys at our table were Rangers fans.
  18. Have to disagree with a lot of what's been writen above. We weren't gash - but we weren't that good either. Compared with the opening games for the last few seasons we were actually quite good. Defensively we showed a lot of promise but Caff and Granty need to form a better understanding. I thought hastings had a very good second half and might even have got MOM. Midfield needed a bit more bite but we really missed the defensive midfield qualities of Russell Duncan (and I really have to bite my tongue when I say that). Up front we were just missing. Don't forget the quality of the opposition today. The huns have spent a lot of money on strengthening their squad and are streets ahead of the start to last season. Ferguson, in particular has improved no end. Lets give everyone a bit of time to develop as a team - except Rory! There's a long way to go!
  19. I have never been a fan or Rory McAllister. He shows so much potential but at the same time so many faults. IMHO what he needs is six months training with the marines to toughen him up. If only he could jumpfor the ball; if only he could time a jump; if only he could tackle; if only he could take a tackle; if only he could get straight back up again and get stuck in; if only.................. Please Charlie, give the boy a chance by getting shot of him!

For a long time I have thought we should align ourselves with Crystal Palace - similar shirts and similar logo with the eagle, wings outspread over the ball/globe. So why not 'The Eagles'? Better than the staggies! Different to all the other Scots teams! And easy to chant/sing about. Eagle army!!! Eagle army!!!
  21. Well said, Johndo. Standing areas for those fans who want them are a must. The idea of all-seated stadia suits only the Big Boys of the SPL and even their fans would probably prefer to stand. Having said that though, I don't think I'd like to have stood up in the old Main stand at Chelsea in the early 70's where just getting to your seat induced vertigo! Best of luck with your complaint but don't hold your breath pending a reply.
  22. Just finished reading all the comments as this is the first time on the forum this weekend. I was speaking with one of those ejected from the stadium in the Ines after the game. I said "I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was not an attempt by a certain person at ICT to sabotage the 'Singin Section'!" I was too far away to actually witness the fiasco but was alerted by the boos that some people were being ejected and thought they must have done something really terrible to deserve such treatment. It does happen to us at other grounds - Killie and D. Utd being classic examples. At our last game at Killie we were only about 200 strong and had a whole stand to ourselves but one steward in particular - an Orc if ever I saw one - kept on at one particular lad to sit down. It was only the intervention of his (the young lads) mother that prevented his ejection from the ground. I had words with the police myself about how we never caused any real trouble and just wanted to enjoy ourselves and he said there was a Killie Jobsworth Chief Steward in the stand opposite wi' a pair of binoculars and a 2-way radio who was dictating things and he agreed we were causing no harm at all. There are double standards in operation at every ground where the home supporters and the OF away fans(?) are allowed to stand. Unfortunately, as relative new boys to the SPL, the ICT management seem to worry too much about the behaviour of our own loyal fans than other clubs. I, too would like to see the back of Mr Smithbut only because I can't see anything positive he's done for the club with his executive skills. Incidentally, with regard to the 'Singing Section' - where we sit near the front of Section E of the main stand we could hardly hear anything different to a normal Saturday crowd. We could hear the Pars fans because they mostly all sang in unison. We don't do this even at away games! What we need is more songs and/or chants and we need to spread the scripts out to all areas. As i said to IHE after the game we need to take into consideration the make up of the main stand fanbase. Upper section B is mostly 'die hard sweetie rustlers' who have had their season tickets for this area since year one. Lower sections B and C is a mixed bag of fans fronted by the WAGS and friends but does contain some noise-makers including one particular Lady who's never been known to be stuck for words. Section D is normally very vociferous and certain members do their level best to get things going. Lower sections E and F is again a mixed bag including the remains of last years family section but with no real choir master to get things moving. The upper levels of sections C, D, E, and F are mostly Corporate and we can't expect any singing or chanting from them. Hope I didn't lose most of you a few paragraphs ago. I do go on a bit sometimes. I wish I knew the answer to making the atmosphere at home games better but I'm willing to try anything except move my seat near the away dug-out where sometimes the 'banter' is brilliant. PS RIG et al - txt spk ll ruin t Eng lngage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :015: :015:

Why? He's a flippin Jessie! Methinks he flatters to deceive. I honestly don't rate him and after last Tuesday he should be consigned to the under 12's where he might have a chance of taking a tackle - BUT I don't think so.
  24. Don't forget the defence Mee. Ally Rdgers didn't have much to trouble him, mainly because Jamie Duff, Guy Kerr and Alex Macdonald were so cool and controlled. Made the Gers attack look like boys against men. Of course, Rossco was his usual self. Have we missed anyone between us? Oh aye. Stuart Soane had a good game and Gary McSwegan was no bad. But, oh dear, Jessie MacAllister needs to get a grip. He played like the back end of a panto horse - nae brains and nae guts - and ah've seen an oil tanker wi' a smaller turning circle. :015: :015:

Went to Dingwall tonight to cheer on our friends there. Morgan played whole game - 1st half as left back and 2nd half in left midfield. Played well enough for first game in a while. Put in some telling crosses and some very good tackles. He seemed to fade after about 75 minutes so maybe not 100% match fit. Our other boy (Cowie) had a poor game IMO. Thought he didn't really want to be there. One or two good moves but nothing much came off for him. Two or three others there tonight - Barry Wilson and Graham Bayne sat two rows behind me and I'm sure I saw Rory outside the ground. Hope Alan settles in for the next month and comes back to us ready for the pre-season warm up games.
