  1. Uncle Scarlet will be there. Another cryptic growl from the Wild West. My spirit contacts in the afterlife are working on it and I am about to have my annual assessment from IHE and his seer buddies. :022: Looking good though. Had to drive a hard bargain to get even a sniff of a ticket--but every spy has underground contacts....... :driving01: :cdn:
  2. Clacher's link now open and I am listening to the match. Cheers :021:
  3. Tried again. Opened the url box in Real Player , pasted the url and the same thing happened. "There may be Network problems, blah, blah, try again..." Sigh BBC ....?
  4. Scotty O.K. I tried.I manged to open the link properties, copied and tried to paste in Real Pl;ayer Search box since I could not find any other "play url"box. Result:Same thing---Website does not open? Is there an easy way to do this Scotty?
  5. BBC Sportsound dead as a door nail here in Western Canada. :029: Please, anybody, can you provide some information on the progress of the match.
  6. And F.W. ---are you talking about his hands or his lips here? :015:
  7. Sue the Barsteward, Bob!~ What a lovely position to be in, no not rubbing cream on F.W.'s legs although that could be rewarding too, , but only having to worry about unpaid royalties owed tyo you by n'er-do-wells who have tapped into your golden stream of spondoolachs. If you need any spying done on these miscreants remember The Pimpernel Organisation offered a substantial Mother's Day discount on tracking errant husbands but in consideration of your great contributions to this site and the Cause in general I will extend the deadline for you for a few more days. All work guaranteed to please--well that is what Agent Orange reported back when he was peeping through windows at errant husb..........but of course I have to slip in a rider here that going after royalty robbers is a slightly more complicated berth and carries a slightly higher price tag which has the effect of cancelling out the M.D discount. So.....are we on :clapping02:..?
  8. I like that last post especially the chinwag remark.Very pithy, :014: but accurate.
  9. Well, Clacher, I am sure that the Board /Management , whatever, has considered all that you wrote and Barry Wilson deserved at least another 6 months for his loyalty and past energetic, enervating performances. And Redee if you think 35 is old what would you call 70? Steady, now, this is not a trick question but your whole future might be riding on the answer. :029: A good answer would be "older" :001:
  10. Congrats to Marius. Hope it is on T.V. now that I will have a bit fo time to loll around. :crazy07:
  11. You have nightmares too Scotty? :015:
  12. Heart of Midlothian. Losing Tynecastle? Imagine that. I worked with Tommy Walker Junior when I worked in Edinburgh for 6 years. Tommy almost certainly bacame a Bank Manager after we parted company. But Tommy Jnr will be retired by now so no use turning to him Vlad. :016: I wonder what his dad is thinking about all this in his Tiny Castle" uppa kye." :023:
  13. We have the modern technology and Scotty's opinions on the use of same are worth examining in depth by the SFA or whoever. :014:
  14. Kingsmills--I was thinking the same thing about the gretna keeper. :002:
  15. Inspiring post Scotty. Good attitude IHE. And Redee, we need more youngsters like you..I love the way you have adapted to this forum and your generally positive upbeat attitude . :clapping03: Not renewing the season ticket , unless you cannot afford it, is not ever going to be the answer. You follow the team through thick and thin. Always. :022: :crap01:
  16. Well, that did not sound too good. Like Scotty, I tried to tune in to find the total exclusion zone outside Britain in full electronic vibrancy, so I managed to get in to the Gretna game and then learned about Craig Levein's hot rant. That livened things up, thank goodness. So many times I read or hear that this forward or that forward blootered it a yard or more above the bar. These players are professiopnal footballers so what element of human nature overides the training and common sense drilled into them for years to try and keep it beneath the bar. If it hits the bar the Pimple says."ooh, well done that man, better luck next time" but, otherwise,.......pshaw! If Barry Wilson , at his "age" was one of the most active ICT players what does that say for the younger brigade? And if Rory is as bad as has been stated by some posters on here why is he in the team at all then? It sounds awfully-like Brewster is trying desperately to give him as many games as possible to see if he can light a spark. The question is whether this is ever going to happen after his many 1st team games over quite a long time ,as I recall? Sorry, but it sounds like Craig Brewster is scratching his head wondering what to do adn he simply does not have the reserve power to do anything significant. As I said, it does not sound good and the team sounds totally disjointed and spiritless to boot. Unless a miracle happens my bet, tragic as it is, is that it will be the same after the first few games of next season , and you all better buckle your seat belts for a bumpy ride. Clear-out necessary? Only id excellent replacements are available to fill the holes left afterwards--and that's a tall order .............................. :024:
  17. In North American ice hockey cameras are used to assist refereeing decisions about whether the puck is , or is not , over the goal line. The ref stops the play goes over to the 'phone connected to the box up above where the film judges are and the judges rule on the issue. Simple, effective and , apparently, neutral. Modern electronics must now play a part in deciding whether a ball is over the line. There is too much at stake to allow for either human error or for dodgy decisions as in those allegedly constantly happening between old firm teams and the "also rans" in the SPL. :33:
  18. Same problem here Al but you will just have to get used to it. Every time , near enough, I type in my user name and password in the log-in and the site keeps telling me I am still a guest. Who would have guessed it--sorry I meant who would have thunk it? :029: Every time.
  19. CCC--are you sure lass? Did yese nae hear the man--he says he wants yese tae prove yer a woman :crazy07: He's jist found oot that the Inuit weemin chew the hide aff a moose before they hing it oot tae dry, an all. And after it's dry they all wrap themselves in it before lying down in the wee tent beside the dead seals and .....and..... The mind boggles! --That's what happens when we all get auld like Canada Bob. Mind you not all Canajins are auld, just dying gently, like. :003: Meantime Richard Hastings is hinging oan, like. :cdn:
  20. Birddog, I'm getting tae like yese mair and mair. Fer laffing at ma wee jokes I am giving you permision tae hae anither go at IHE. Now, mind you, you have to continue to be nice or ah'll withdraw yer privileges., so ah will :018: :004:
  21. The Leicester game? Jeepers I now remember an English team up on a friendly. They played in white and struck me as a superior football team compared to Caley at that time. Naturally they won ;that I do remember also. What was the date of that match..must have been about 50 years ago? Anyone remember? Telford Street--ah such memories. And the Bumbers Lane..ah ,such an education LOL. ( NO telling though). :001:
  22. Some of ther posted thoughts on here referring to IHE's posts as sh..te are abusive and letting the side down. What is wrong with his posts here? Jeez, if youy don't agree with it then simply go away! :012: So nobody is now allowed to post a humourous, or controversial or whimsical comment on here should anyone else disagree with it then? Eh? Heh, Scarlet, I insist that you now remain deadly serious, deadly definite, deadly deliberate and definitely don't deny your heritage as the deluded but delightful scion of ...... Dearly Beloved Daddy Pimpernel. :015:
  23. IHE, Hail Caesar--Brutus salutes thee, if only fer persistence...aye! :003: Some good points you make but I still think this thread has been flogged to death. And Brewster in his day and on his game was something else. He just dominated a game--strode through (oops, sorry, strolled through)the midfield like a tall smooth, if albeit wee bitty slow, gladiator. Pity about all the subsequent controversy which somehow marred his image as a classy footballer who was invariably calm and in control, popping up at all the right moments too to score when others would have fluffed it. Let's be generous to him next season and really give him a chance to shine. Brewster I mean :015:
  24. Naw!!! That's as may be, but it's strange that I have no difficulty in keeping up. Concentrate on the theme not the size of the box. Time is far too precious for looking back and frankly IMO it really is unnecessary. Keep it simple Sam is always the best motto I find unless , of course, when Scarlet gets going on a long rant when of course that's a different matter. :002:
  25. Well, if he is as unattached as you say then if he comes over I can put him into touch with some lovely Ukrainian ladies -one is even a Doctor on 500 Hrivnas a month. :001:
