  1. Well, well, what a plethora of varying opinions, hyperbole's, speculation, innuendo and to crown it all off nothing but rumours. Where oh where is the truth in all this? Whether Blackie is guilty of "going over the top" we may never know for sure in the short term but if he has a brain in his alleged hot-head he would have been well-advised to choose diplomatic words to express his honest opinion rather than brutally-frank ones. I am sure that Brew's invitation for the 'air the views" meeting did not include in his mind accepting undiplomatic brutally-frank expressions of opinion slighting him and denigrating him in front of all the players. This scenario is just as likely as Black being in line for the next diplomatic posting to Canada, where all true good men are toothless politicians who themselves pay lip service to Stephen Harper at thre drop[ of a hat. So to be invited to "express your opinions" is clearly in the understanding that each party eill show even a little rerstraint. Therefore, if THIS was the case, then I feel that Brew, as the Manager, does have the right to feel that as the lone wolf he was and is backed into a corner. Whether the staff like it or not he IS the Manager and must keep discipline so....until someone in authority tells us the truth of what actually happened on that dark , crisp, winter morning of discontent I tend to favour his views and statements over that of Mr Black. To summarise, I am now fed up with all the bickering and childish nonsense that seems to be on display at the present time and I wish everybody would remain silent and GET ON WITH THE JOB, which includes playing for the jersey and it also means getting along with the Manager since trying to do anything else will result in disater for everybody. Oh, and a final word--the ghostly lady in question is one of our staff disguised as a keen supporter and was told to go out and manufacture a cloak and dagger mystery story at all costs since the winter blues were in great evidence at Codswallop Hall of late.Maybe it's time to pull the plug and get back down to the spying business where there really is no mystery at all; just skull-duggerey and thuggery----and......woooooHOOOOOO...poison. :angry05:
  2. I am experiencing problems with the log-in on the main home page. Instead of, as formerly, being allowed immediate access to the site (Forum etc) , I am now requested to log-in and add the password almost every time. Any suggestions how to correct this? S>P> :029:
  3. Pity he is leaving. Their gain is our loss (as a player._)
  4. If you would stop that laughing dog at the botom of your posts I might believe you. Please explain thyself IHE. Gog and magog at work. So we are waiting and all agog! :003: And that's my blog. :004:
  5. Charles Must be nice to be able to let your hair down on this Forum--funny stuff indee :015:d. Hamish--Just contact Scarlet - I know some real mediums and I am not referring to those habitually advising IHE .
  6. If Marius is a wow now then a "bigger" team must be sniffing around soon or even had a rep at Tulloch today. Mark my words. Continual classic performances and he won't be here long--go figure. :022:
  7. Agent N gets the nod. He is our man in Inverness at most home matches, incognito of course. Scarlet is indisposed sovhe asked me to tell you the truth, the whole truth and sometimes nothing like the truth. Agent Orange Right Hand Man to Scarlet Pimple. :002: Codswallop HaLL Fort george Nr Inverness.
  8. No more player Managers. Brewster did well as a player for ICT then stumbled when becoming a Manager. Dodds may be an excellent stopper still, but where is the Managerial experience.....eh? Strachan will soon be available methinks so.....? :003:
  9. Got up at 7a.m as usual, tuned to the Sportsound an got nothing. Woke up real quick and frantically scratched me head--where is the commentary :001:?. And then the penny dropped---The U.K are sleepy heads and forgot to put their clock forward one hour when we did three weeks ago Ha! Ha!
  10. For once, no---for twice, I agree with Johnboy. If the captaincy was given to Niculae he would grow in confidence even more and would have to continue to set the example week in week out that he appears to be delivering now. After all he is the most highly compensated player on the park these days so why not say to him ""O.K. Marius , here is your chance to really show your stuff and leadership. And just think what the Romanian papers will say on Monday.....or the Rangers Board of Directors on Tuesday. :001: You just never know about people until you test them.... :022:
  11. Stevico I don't want to appear churlish or nuffink but why do you so frequently say to posters who disagree with you "in any event it's none of your business what I post". You said that to me recently in response to one of my always mild replies and I can't help musing..."well, if it is none of the business of other posters on here what you post what is the point of posting at all?" Now act out of character please and reply poste-haste. Hoch! Hoch! Failing which I am open to receipt of a snail mail reply --you can send it to the Scarlet Pimple c/o Poste Restante, Vancouver, B.C.. Canada. Hoch ! Hoch! :015:
  12. So why are the players in general not angry instead of whiny and playing their heart out for the team instead of this and that? :010:
  13. Hiring Niculae at a wage much higher than the average player destroyed the harmo of the team and was the gaffe of the century. Now Brewster, whether he liked the decision or not, has to face the results of that action. Nothing against Niculae as a person (all things heard seem to be good) but he himself wants to go to a "better club" and moving him on might solve a lot of problems. As for voting on an issue about which swirls only rumours, rumours, speculation and rumours the answer is that I will not vote on that. However, ask me again after the match tomorrow against Aberdeen. ! :011:
  14. Caley D --there was a once upon a time when there were comments expressed that there were a few wordy poets on this forum including Scarlet Pimple. Perhaps especially Scarlet Pimple :004: At that time I spoke to Scarlet and he has since tried hard to keep his posts shorter to short. But when he gets passionate and/ or angry his fuses also short(out) and the cover is blown. The Royal family articles are a case in point. Or his rants about the pensions paid by the DSS to Overseas residents of Ex-Commonwealth countries which never EVER get upgraded for inflation unless you stay in the U.S., or Germany, or Mexico. This is the same with all the aforementioned poets and if that is how they express deep feelings for ICT , or whatever subject they are popping off on , then so be it. We are lucky to have them and also lucky to have the fans who post one-liners because thereby we have balance. And it is often from these rants that we all learn something new about ourselves and the world. What I love about this forum is the give and take and general allowances for differing personalities all linked together by their love of ICT and football. The longer we are on here the easier it seems to be to resolve our differences and get along. Now back to the pipe and slippers and my wee drammy.I appreciate the invitation in the past to visit the Forum as and when I want to.Thanks. :014: Daddy Pimpernel. Codswallop Hall Fort George
  15. Connie...."Nah!" You will do just fine --still got a Spring in yer step and at 46 life is just beginning. Besides, what's the loss of few goals besides the sight of a fine young lass of 5foot 2" darting about in her wee ironed nylon shorts in the goalmouth adding a touch of spice to the current life of drudgery at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium. Worth the price of admission alone . Might even start a trend. I am rather partial tae watching the Canadian girls' soccer team mesel'. Not bad footie tae! :cdn: Now, Connie, all you have to do to get intae the first team is to post yer wee photo in the Rogues Gallery and Bob's yer Uncle and ah am nae referring tae that ane frae Canada. His middle name is 'Will o the Wisp". :angel13:
  16. No I don't Charles; in my day anyway. What I do remember vis a vis the snobbery or elitist attiudes that may have prevailed at one time in the Academy was one in particular: One teacher was named Curly ; His real name shall remain unmentioned in case I get sued,( :012:) I chose Latin for the main language course and French for part time. There were five of us in his class and no doubt he was very good at his language knowledge but must have felt I did not fit in or something. The girl in my year who came out top in everything was in this French class which must have made him feel good, massaged his ego and so forth and so on. Anyway, one day, as he sat on the front desk looking down at us five, he looked directly at me and his face contorted into a grimace of disdain and he spoke the immortal words from lips which almost melted from the acid dripping from them " You will never pass your Lower French he sneered ". No doubt he was trying to inspire me to make a gut -wrenching upward leap from what he considered to be my state of gross mediocrity into the elite Froggie club under the able tutelage of Master Kermit but more truthfully he was just a mean sarcastic elitist ****. However for some incredible reason , although his hallowed cruel words echoed through my little brain as the Lower French Exam was about to start, I passed all right and the sweet sense of satisfaction I got from that can never be forgotten. If I dared, in these days of forelock plucking, I would have readily surreptitiously given him the finger the next time I passed him in the corridor but somehow that joyous act eluded me . I comfort myself with the thought that after he saw the results he decided to avoid me at all costs and that probably explains the sight of a gowned figure covering his head with his gowned sleeve that I think I saw shortly afterwards--in reality he probably never gave me a second thought and could not care less about the whole wonderful incident. The joys of being young and impressionable, eh? :016: But Curly just wait till I see you in the spirit world, believe me the tables will be turned Monsieur. :blah01:
  17. Ah wiz telt wance that ye cannae gae back--so there you go. Anither little bit of BACK talk from the Workers Compensation Board :015: :015:
  18. Not a chance. It was crowded with 5,000. CMIB I was eleven when that clip was shot. At first I thought it looked like Bobby Bolt but with that number on his shirt do you really think it was him. For those of us who were not yet born at that time Bobby was the centre half for Rangers prior to this. As I recall he ended his career with Caley at Telford Street. Toothless Bobby but a good player.Sweated a lot..... :023:
  19. Appreciate the precis of the history of these schools, Charles. I thought for long enough that, as I did at the time, one had to express a preference before the 11 plus exam results were forthcoming as to which school you wanted to go to--Academy or Techie. Eliza ,my recollection of my time at the Academy is that if you were able to get a pass for University in your exams that the higher education there was free--one of the marvellous free opportunities that simply does not exist in Canada currently where what passes for education is astronomically expensive. And Eliza I echo what you said in your last sentence. :021:
  20. Oh My! With apologies to F.W but the nostalgia brought out by these views of my boyhood dream venue--Telford Street Park-gave me goose bumps. This may be the last time I ever see a view of the park. Thanks for that .DBS Well you cannot say the charm and spirit was not there in these days, can you? S.P. :022:
  21. And I had a very strange feeling before I opened up the Forum that Black would do well at Hibs. Situation, what with problems, rumours, etc is very disturbing. This could get worse. My heart is in my mouth how far this negativity from everyone can go. One more bad defeat and the club may implode in the current atmosphers. Hope for all concerned is that it either does not come to that or at least everybody concerned at this club have a full-out heart to talk or man to man talk to air all grievances and to agree en masse to try to work more closely together as a team . :007:
  22. Connie If you look as good in goalie shorts at 46 as Scarlet does at 70 then you have my vote. The forwards of the opposition will be so entranced looking at your gams that they will fall over the ball--especially at penalties. Um--want to compare legs anytime soon? :015: P.S. Today's tip sent in just for you by Canada Bob to commemorate his departure from Ireland..."Legs-11 in the 3 o'clock at Haydock Park." :021:
  23. Commentator says Marius Nicolae completed the mve by heading in "unchallenged". Unchallenged or not, a well-taken goal. Ae we going to bring his brother Daniel to Inverness as well? Never thought of that did you.... :023:
  24. If true why did the club not then get in touch directly with Dennis to advise him of the Agent's reaction and to find out if Dennis agreed with his agent's approach or whether he wanted to fire the agent because of the disruption caused by this agent at such a late hour in the negotiations.? Since, apparently, the club did not attempt to contact Denis as above their explanation seems to be rather lame methinks. :011:
