Just to avoid the possibility of being misunderstood, I did not post the comment about Brew being pleased at the more positive opinions for his benefit..more as a tacit or diplomatic admonition of the negative girners and the Brew's "Putter-Downers" on here which is frankly wearing me out . But since his name is up there on the top of the thread I would suggest that it is just as likely that he does read them so keep up the good work and good luck Mr Brewster........ & c'mon the Caley Thistle. :030:

MC must mean Master Craftsman? As for the word "sh ..te" or "sh..tey" personally speaking I am sick of it. It's a disgusting way to describe any player or any player's performance and , no , I do not mean that you don't have the right to speak or shout your opinions which is a completely different matter. But can you not do so without , as Sophia aptly puts it, "bringing the site down to the lowest common denominator". As far as I am concerned it is downright abuse and I would completely support the banning of any future poster who indulges in this kind of crap. There has been a few comments in the past about this being a family site--right on, and what a pathetic example this kind of expression is setting I must say. The number of actual posters on these threads is vastly outnumbered by those who actually read them and so it might reasonably be stated that there are many , many , more fans who choose not to post for reasons that might be connected with not wanting to identify with such attitudes and comments. This is not banter any more . Warn them and then unceremoniously ban them. What is the loss of a few posters compared to the total hits we get on here. Raise the tone and the quality please. About the Yngwie versus Johnboy spat about Rory being a piece of sh--te. To be fair to Yngwie I do not believe that he was referring to Rory as a piece of sh--te. Indeed I hardly think anyone in their right senses would do that or believe some other ICT fan would. So if any fan professes to believe that then he or she appears to have another agenda involved...Right? But this accusation from JB has now taken an unproductive and very nasty turn and to be quite frank it has now turned into something of a personal vendetta which is becoming very tedious indeed. Scotty I was impressed with Toronto F.C. the last time I was able to se them on TV. They are not short on determination and effort but I think that ICT would be too much for them in the pace department and slick passing for which they are rightly famous since time began. Now Scotty I would like to ask you whether you think that ICT would really show-up Toronto if they came to your city to play your home team or would Toronto hold their own. For example, and to put it another way, would the fitness of ICT,enabling them to run for ninety minutes ,be too much for the MLS teams to cope with? Could David Beckham cope with Caley thistle? Arithmetic was mandatory to get into University in my day (thats' about 1955). And Higher English was also mandatory to get to Uni. I don't know about Arithmetic--I mean if you can decide that overspending is not good what the heck would be the need for that severe criterion. And as for Higher English, despite the advantages of mastering the language if you can't do it, if you just can't do it then what the heck? That is why spell checkers are so prevalent and needed nowadays. Right now I am just plain mystified as to why so many young people are closer to their cell phone, oops camera, oops , texter, oops...oops.. than to their mother FFS. As for my 21 year old stepson I caught him still playing games on his computer at 1.a.m. the other night when he had to get a up and go to work the same morning. I suppose he had to justifty the $5000 he had just spent on a new computer for heaven's sake. It's his money and he earned it but is this common sense or just mad self-indulgence on a grand scale?At his age I was financially worth 2 shillings and six pence in the gooid old days. :029:

Issue now resolved. My understanding is that you have changed the way the gallery is integrated with the site/other stuff and I had no problem accessing it by either :- a. Clicking on the "Gallery" link in the left-hand side menu. This also allows you to access any part of the gallery such as the Rogues Gallery. b. Clicking on any of the 3 match photos on the home page. I appreciate your diligence in examining and tracing this challenge. Many thanks. S.P. :021:

Caley D--7 Highers? C.mon CaleyD tell us what you got? You must be a member of Mensa? Are you? When SP was at the Academy the most you could attain was 5 Highers as I recall. University entrance was 3 Highers and 2 Lowers or a straight 5 Highers. Mind you , nowadays you can probably get a Higher in Biology, one in Chemistry and one in Physics..... :003:

Robbo--you mean John Robertson? If so, would he entertain the thought of taking a post lower than that of Manager? And if he did, and IF Brew did eventually leave , would you be happy with Robbo as a future Manager? Because if so what do you think he may have learned from his forays into other jobs since he left ICT? ; and also if Robbo is hired would this signal that Management has him in mind as an insurancev policy in case Brew has to ultimately be made the Fall Guy? It's sad really that faith, hope and charity appears to be so low in the minds of most fans on here towards the club in general that they immediately discount what Mr Park has said about his reasons for leaving. These reasons must surely be substantially true but one does wonder why, since he has been in Inverness for so long, why he he did not move his family up here long before now--that's the thing that gives a ring of truth to what Caley D says in my view.

I don't think Billy Davies would fit in. And I thought that the originqal set of posts primarily referred to booing Rory in the warmup which is disgraceful imho. If you want to use the money excuse so be it but booing a player after he starts on the pitch is bad manners and counterproductive. And it is very unlikely to galvanise him into playing much better unless he is so resentful and angered by it (unfair booing) that he runs amok. On balance surely you understand that encouragement is much more effective...like the lazy employee that I once had in my business who told me , after I fired him accompanied by a couple of choice words, "you will get more with honey than vinegar, sniff". What is the purpose of the "ignore User" button. Is it intended to cut out that particular user's piosts from displaying on your computer? Why bother? If you don't like anyone's posts why get paranoid? Instead why not just ignore the posts made by this person without going to extremes. This way you can get rid of that button and simplify the site. O.K, O.K., in the spy business we often ask seemingly stupid questions to thow the quarry off the scent but the young spy students need curved balls thrown at them from time to time and since this site is a slice of life they are obliged to read it daily. Why does the message you type in the "Post Reply" to a thread box still hang around in that box after you click-on "post"? I have noticed that the reply does leave quickly nowadays but when you click the back button to get back to the original thread etc the "post Reply" box pops up again and shows the post as still there as if it is still wiating for you to send it ...hmmmm?
