  1. I know Charles. I am ashamed that I didn't look up Caledonian Thistle on the Internet before then. I It's just that I have led a very busy life you know and "soccer"isn't that big in them thar parts these days. I was speaking to General Custer the other day and he says that the railroad will soon be through to the West Coast so civilisation will begin to flood in the door soon I am sure. What with the discovery of Gold in the Klondyke, hootenannys in the streets, girls in the bars, horse races down the main street and drunken Injuns falling off the sidewalk I just don't know what things are coming to over this way these days. They will be banning six-shooters next, Glory be! :crazy07:
  2. Meh Goodness Jock -24 Rotflmao's -- such a compliment. Thank you so much.Such a decent chap. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: For a momemt I thought you were having a wee giggle at the Prudence and the Pill joke--but then...sigh.... it seems to have passed by most people leaving them with a blank stare. Maybe we are too old for them to remember that was a film in vogue many years ago. Double Entendres are no longer the "IN" thing sigh.... :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: (just for you JOck). O.K. just forget it. :004:
  3. Hangar I live in Vancouver Canada so which part ofn the U.S. West coast do you livbe in. If it's Oregon you are lucky..marvellous beaches ...eh? Go on tell me you are in the Canadian Air Farce seconded to Washington state? :002: S.P.
  4. Aye, sufin's the right word --surfin like crazy and never found a thing except from the help of all these lovely laddies on the Overseas and Out of touch thread. Still, did get ten minutes of a slightly blurry footie by ICT at Tulloch had my eyes glued to the computer screen in disbelief that it was actually happening ....and then poof--gone like the snow aff a dyke in Fife. What happened Clacher? Did they catch up on us ? :003:
  5. Only a year or so ago I learned of the merger and that was a great shock to me. I do however sympathise with the emotions generated by these last poignant moments . The clubs however never really died because they only are part of change which goes on constantly in the universe and is an irresistible force. The clubs merely transformed. But.... parting is such sweet sorrow.
  6. The only one that I rember was that Tomnahurich street./ Kenneth Street and less so those on the High Street and theat road that led down to the Playhouse cinema. I was jusr remaarking to a friend from Britain nthe other day what a joy it was in ther "Olden days" to druive around. Now it's just a frigging nightmare--can't take your eye aff the road at all these days. e.g. On sunday came up behind a young woman (no old ones on the road now since they have all been killed off) clutching a cell phone to her ear, driving with her elbows on the wheel, eating a hamburger and doing her makeup in the front mirror. An absolutely true story :crazy07:
  7. That's the TICKET Connie. Have a wee fling in the Wild East....eh? The Mounties would have been thrilled by yer Scottish accent and never would have hurt you at all. All you had to do is say..."My, My, Ossifer, the bark on your tree trunk legs is so magnificent and shiny.......... To which he will politely reply..."Ma'am these are called leggings , you over here on a short visit...eh? But if you had said ..."where's your hoss, boss?" he might have replied.." My horse is away being fitted for his spurs and I don't like slurs--they are a burr under my burroo and I think I will have to give you a paddle on yer saddle. :sillywave: from Canuck country.
  8. You always know when fans are complacent when they whine about miniscule trivial events. In Canada we don't even get a game commentary let alone a voice coming out of your earphones .. :angry08: Even Herve Villachase would be better than that... And Mee --well she is just a :angel13: And Sophia sometimes hides her talent under an explosive exterior. :burning:
  9. What Piscatorial gems---you guys are just FISHING for compliments. Please WATER down the complexity of your utterances so that plebs like me and Scarlet get the message LOL It's time to bring back HMS Sneck---IHE , are you listerning? :015:
  10. Well it certainly now won't be Prudence and the Pill..... :015:
  11. Alex--as you said, young and bountiful; sorry beautiful. So--when are you up for the challenge Connie and putting your photo into the Gallery? :016: C,maaaaaaaannnnn-be a sport love. Scotty ...160KPH....that's ? In our congested traffic that's suicidal.--thrilling, but imprudent. How DID you get off ----you are not even "Mature" ? Go on....she was a mature woman cop and you had your kilt on and as we all know you have a fine pair of sturdy legs......... :crazy01:
  12. Unable to find a fitting explanation for that sally the Broom Groom just brushed it off with a laugh. :003:
  13. Can't speak for Inverness but I read on the BBC Ticker link that the U.K. Government is apparently getting restlesss with the claims about high speeds made by British ISP's which apparently are falling far short of these upper limits on average. Here in Vancouver, Canada, I get about 4000 but the claim made by our local providers is often 7000. I am on cable .
  14. If he does leave where will we drum up a new experienced goalie? :014:
  15. It might also be that as ICT have progressed in the SPL expectations, in comparison to other quality players, have also increased.
  16. Nobody in the chat room so I am hoping that info will continue to be posted on here. In the few moments that I saw on the White Rat TV broadcast at the beginning of the match the pace seemed pedestrian and so passionless...the players seemed relaxed though, which was a bit surprising in view of the fact that this was a very important match for both teams. Is this the average standard of urgency for SPL games? Rangers with all their money and supposed talent did not seem to be a top class team. :rolleyes02:
  17. The BBC web site is over stuffed with too many topics & several links to other web pages which you have to explore thoroughly to find out what on earth they are offering. And their overall presentation is no longer professional--the text is not edited very well or at all--spelling errors, convoluted grammar such that you can't really understand it unless you read it twice and so on. There are so many side links that it makes it very difficult to find anything. I have said this before and written to the BBC about it. Most of the time they don't answer. The normal Saturday links showing what matches are being broadcast sometimes state that this match and that match is blocked to overseas listeners whereas others have no mention at all as to whether they will be broadcast or not. So you get up at 6 in the morning to find that in fact it is blocked which really disappoints and maddens me. I pointed that out to the BBC also a couple of weeks back--their response was on the next Friday to show all the matches being broadcast but none had the "not available to overseas listeners" disclaimer--it was as if they don't listen to any reasonable suggestion and ceratinly don't give a **** about overseas listeners . What is the matter with them? Maybe I remember the good old days too well when the BBC were synonomous with excellence on every level. Now they are just sloppy inconsistent Joes. Don't hold your breath about getting a reply. :020:
  18. Hearts?--the next thing will be the poor lad will get drafted to Lithuania to ensure the Hearts "feeder" club is not relegated. Then where will his big move end up?
  19. Detection is for Scarlet Pimpernels, Alex--but even our unique breed is human so when a photo of said young beauty ( and I thought by the maturity of her comments that she was at least 47 :014:) appears in the Rogues Gallery we shall see what we shall see ..... :003:
  20. It's time to use Hart at his most aggressive--he will be up for it considering past events. If we don't attack Rangers where will we be at 5p.m.? :023:
  21. So the Pimple's valuation of his worth has been confirmed then... :002: Next..... :003:
  22. :002: Well, Connie, so long as the pork didn't come from Willie Pickton's farm in Port Coqitlam I am sure he will suffer no ill effects. They are still looking for the majority of the bodies....
  23. Since we don't get the overseas non-broadcasts any more I have used the chat room as a last resort. Once I found it very enjoyable because there were lots of people in there but they chatted too quick for my auld brain to keep up. :029: But since then not a soul in there. So it's back to calling Scotty every five minutes to see if Caley Thistle have scored --but that disnae work 'cos he's out shovelling snow or paddling his canoe to safety to escape the floods in Eastern Canada. Achhhhhhh... :cdn:
  24. Connie Scarlett's heart bleeds for you--I am sure if you had tried harder you could have persuaded them to be kinder :016: Rookies or young shavers in uniform are the worst. I can always tell what mood they are in when they approach--one hand on the gun the other on the taser I know instinctively things don't look good ansd that if my pacemaker gets one then I am done for-- so my wits are alert to quivering. Time to hunker down and bring out the big smile and keep the hands on the wheel. :001:
