Contract Situation
Where is the source for this Draper contract chatter? Not seen anything confirmed yet. Good news though if true.

Team for Celtic
Looking forward to Meekings scoring the winner by punching the ball into the net.

Partick Thistle -V- Inverness CT
We can have no complaints with that result. The only surprise was that Partick didn't take advantage of their numerous chances and win by more. They could easily have won that 4 or 5 - 1 were it not for a string of excellent saves from Fon Williams. The save in the first half from a header from Doolan I think was the pick of the bunch for me. Good start for ICT as alternative maryhill mentions. Some nice intricate passing led to the first goal well finished by Storey (seriously get this kid signed up now) and he had another smashing chance to make two but he seemed to just miss a ball that was crossed in from the right. For the rest of game all the chances fell to Partick and whilst we enjoyed a comparable share of possession we created so little with it we never deserved to add to our lead. The best chance in the second half for ICT came when Mutumbo broke into the box but shot at a tight angle instead of cutting back to Vincent who would have been well placed to score. Poor defending from us for the Partick equaliser. We seemed to think the initial danger was over but the ball was quickly worked back into the box and it seemed we were caught out somewhat and Doolan finished well into the corner of the net. Second half was more of the same i.e. Partick creating the best chances and Fon Williams largely equal to them. Muirhead and one other Partick player both had efforts saved before the fluke winner from Stevenson. I think that Fon Williams should have done better with the cross but despite it not being meant the three points were no more than Partick deserved. Peculiar that, after largely dominating the opening period, we yet again seemed to sit back and never again regained that same level of dominance in the game. We saw a fair chunk of the ball but we lacked any real creative spark to generate anything of note especially in the second half. The odd nice flick from Vigurs and Mutumbo can't compensate for a complete dearth of attacking chances to get us back into the game and that is very concerning. Contemplating the rest of the season without the flair and creative spark of Christie is troubling. Good away crowd from us however and the steak pie was decent (firm crust, generous filling and no soggy bottom) so there were some positives.

Dani Lopez
And I can't think of what club legends were being punted left right and centre at that point either. EDIT: Maybe Wilson and Wyness come to think of it.
-
Dani Lopez
John Hughes was adamant that Lopez would get double figures this season. Obviously talking abut disciplinary points rather than goals.

Dani Lopez
Disgraceful. Good to see the club taking immediate action on this.

Team News - Injuries and Suspensions etc
I saw something on Twitter about him being sent off for raising both his hands to a Saints player. Didn't seem to elaborate much more on that. If he did spit at an opponent then I hope he is fined by the club.

Plastic Whistle Away
I'll be coming through for this with TSNY hopefully as well as a couple of others. I'm sure the usual Glasgow chaps will be in attendance as well.

Offer him £254,000 to sign up.

Yogi's Contract
Quite incredible that several weeks after the approach from Dundee United we (allegedly) still haven't offered our manager a new deal.

Motherwell -V- Inverness CT
Great win for us yesterday especially given the number of players out. We're missing close to a full team right now through injuries and suspension and given our recent record against Well I don't think many of us were going in to the game with much confidence. Whilst we went in two up at the break I thought Motherwell were the better team in the first half although we did defend pretty well to keep them out. A lot of their chances were coming from the wide areas and they sent in a number of good crosses but fortunately Fon Williams was able to deal with the few headers and shots that came his way pretty easily. Whilst we may have been on the back foot for a fair bit of the first half I didn't feel like Well really had that cutting edge to get themselves back into the game and they passed up a number of decent half chances. The penalty award will cause a lot of debate. From the Motherwell TV highlights I think it looks like a harsh award. I think it is McMannus who is judged to have handled it and whilst the ball does hit his arm I don't think he deliberately meant to handle the ball. His hand / arm may not have been in the most natural place but I can't say that he meant to deliberately block any attempt on goal. The retake however was spot on. The laws of the game are clear that if players from both teams encroach and the outcome of the penalty kick is no goal then it is retaken. Second goal was very lucky as well. Complete Rick O'Shea (as Storey himself said on Twitter) off a Well defender beyond Ripley who was totally wrong footed. Before half time we lost Christie to an injury. No word yet what the damage was but he seemed to land awkwardly and jar his knee or twist something. There was no contact from any Well player. Hopefully it's not too bad and the international break gives him some time to recover in time for Partick. I thought we started the second half quite well but then quickly sat back to defend our lead. Well again seemed to focus most of their attacks down the flanks and claimed for a penalty when a cross came into the box and one of Devine or Meekings looked like they were pulling at the Motherwell player who went over. Hard to see if it was a good shout or not but certainly the home fans felt pretty aggrieved. Polworth, who had a superb game for us, passed up a good chance to score. Similar to the chance the other week against Dundee he found himself with time and space at the edge of the box but sent his effort well over via a deflection. From the corner however we grabbed our third goal. Our set pieces aren't normally up to much and we typically loft a ball into the six yard area for a defender to try and get a header in but this time, with the normal targets occupying the Well players heading towards the near post Tansey picks out Vigurs all alone at the edge of the box and he rifles a first time effort into the goal. Outrageous effort and one that surely has to be down as a Puskas 2016 contender... Motherwell got a goal back when Tremarco just missed blocking a pass to Ainsworth and he cut inside, floated a ball across goal which Fon Williams missed and Moult was at the back post to tuck the ball into the net. McManus was boxed for a pretty reckless lunge on Polworth who was sold short on a pass from Lopez. I thought he was pretty lucky to stay on the pitch to be honest. Looked like a pretty bad tackle at the time and I was surprised when he was only yellow carded. Storey went off injured and seemed to be holding his hamstring when he departed. Like Christie hopefully it's nothing too serious and the break will give him a chance to rest and be back for Partick. The best chance of the remainder of the game for Well fell to Fletcher who seemed to slip as he got his shot away. Anything else we dealt with pretty easily and we saw the game out quite comfortably. The drama wasn't over though as McManus received a second yellow card for a tussle with Lopez. I didn't see much wrong with it to be honest (and the Well highlights don't make it any clearer) but I guess he was judged to have elbowed Lopez which, given the player involved, I'm taking with a pinch of salt as Lopez has a habit of going doing far too easily. If he was judged to have elbowed Lopez I thought it would have been a straight red card rather than a second yellow. Who knows. At the end of the game some of the well fans in the disabled supporters section who would have had a good view if the McManus / Lopez incident started challenging Lopez to a fight Not many away games are going to top that one for ICT fans this season. Bit of confidence for us now ahead of Partick in a couple of weeks time.

Motherwell -V- Inverness CT
Are posters genuinely surprised that a package of highlights, produced by one of the clubs involved in the match, are more biased towards showing what that club did in the game? Get a grip. Motherwell aren't obligated to show whether the game was a fair balance or not. I'm sure the ICT highlights, whenever they come out, will likely favour ICT and what is certain is that both sets of highlights will be better than Sportscene.

Still no news on Mutumbo and Sho Silva etc?

Yogi in trouble. Been stealing picnics again.
Yet he made pretty similar comments about Colvin on Saturday, and no sign of a notice of complaint. Dallas gets protection because of who he is. He is a pretty poor referee. Don't sugar coat it. He's an abysmal referee far, far below the quality required to referee in the top league.

Away game questions
I attend as many away games as possible. Costs would be between £20 - £25 for a ticket, anything between £12 - £30 for train tickets, £20 for food and drink. Guesstimate total spend of between £40 - £70 for a 'typical' away game. Train or bus. Over £1,000 as a worst case (approx 16 away games x £70). No the prices are largely in line with what ICT charge for home games. Some clubs charge more than others e.g. Celtic and Aberdeen charge £26 for not much more than the likes of Saint Mirren who charged £20. Main expense for me is the cost of travel (and this extends to Home games for me as I'm coming up from Edinburgh these days). With games often not selected for TV until about six weeks before the match a lot of the advanced / cheap tickets for the trains and buses are long gone. If they could plan a wee bit more in advance and sort out the games for TV well ahead of what they do now then it allows fans to book cheaper travel which may allow folk to travel more often.

Team News - Injuries and Suspensions etc
Mutumbo seems to have disappeared off home and the club don't seem to know when he will be back. Maybe it's the same with the other players?

Inverness CT -V- Dundee
Getting the ball doesn't mean that a challenge isn't a foul.

Inverness CT -V- Dundee
It was a blatant penalty for Dundee. Ridiculous attempt at a challenge by Raven but the red was harsh. I also thought that Williams did quite well up front. He's pretty quick and able to run with the ball quite well so he was a bit of a handful at times for the Dundee defenders. Unfortunately a lot of the time he was lacking support so often had to run down a blind alley and ended up losing the ball. If he had a wee bit more help then who knows but with ten men some of the guys were blowing out of there arses by the end of the game. Not surprisingly of course.

Inverness CT -V- Dundee
Yeah Devine was definitely getting across to block. Not sure it can be considered denial of a clear goal scoring opportunity. Our two claims were both laughable. Incredible that we got a penalty for one of them. Colvin is an abysmal official.

Yogi's Contract
The board may have a big decision to make now. As long as Hughes remains non committal on a deal the likelihood is that the players won't be too keen to sign not knowing who will be in charge. If Hughes won't sign a new deal in the near future then he may need to be 'moved aside' so we can get someone else in and start to getting players like Meekings on new deals.
