  1. Name and shame. Seriously! A POTY forum might alleviate this problem? I keep forgetting to vote myself but I always minded when there was a forum for it.

That would be a nightmare! Would there promotion in that case? If so and all the ups and downs were sorted there would still be another team needing to come into the SFL in place of Gretna in the bottom tier.

And frankly it's pathetic. Huge feeling of deja vu with this one and other players in the past e.g. Black and Dargo.

How extreme were the money issues at ICT a few seasons back? Gretna owe just under ?5 million to their "parent company" and just wondered if things were ever that bad with us.
  5. Announcement on Monday. Large chance they will go into administration. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tna/7282594.stm

Aye it was just a fictional bunch of folk. If I mind right there were something like 200 ICT fans down at the stadium doing the shots behind the goals and in the stands and stuff. *whispers* Penalty to Caley ref! Love it!

*Strong Words From Bennet* So Russell has to make up his mind by the end of the season whether he will stay or move on. I'm not too sure about this "timescale" Bennet has given him. Fair enough if he had said "next week" or "end of the month". If he does leave then will be doing so at the end of the season anyway and it simply makes ICT look like they will hang around as long as possible to get an answer from him.

    Generic United F.C.

I wonder how many of the original Gretna fans are liking this right now? They've been around for a fair bit, the club was running along, albeit in the lower echelons of some backwater English league, but they at least had a club to support. Now they have become a rich mans plaything and there is a chance that Gretna FC might cease to exist leaving the original fans without a club, all for a few years of "glory".

Wadsworth is a balloon. I liked these two quotes: United get over 5 times as many folk turning up for their home games though. That's right Mick. Blame the rubbish attendance on a Bolton game being on :015:

Shame it has Clive Tyldesley doing the commentary :007:
  12. Surely that would have a knock down effect on the leagues below? The league would be one team short somehwere along the line wouldn't it?
  13. Note to self: Never use a PC before 9am! :015:
  14. 5 points from 45 27 is not just a "bad spell".
  15. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tna/7282594.stm Seems this is merely what we knew all along. Gretna FC, in it,s current format, is wholly unsustainable. They are punching some 3 maybe 4 divisions above their weight. Incidentally, if Gretna get booted out and there is still to be relegation from the SPL we might well find ourselves in the firing line given our perilous run of results.

In all seriousness, I actually agree with a lot of what you say concerning off field issues. The supplanting of Charlie & Donald with Brewster and Malky being a good example. But some of your rumours for players are horrible!

Something to do with Colin Hendry? No, wait. Colin Nish? What about Callum Elliot? And there was Hagi as well....

  19. I don't. I'm sick of never having beaten Aberdeen in a competitive game! :015:
  20. It's the nature of the beast really. People who talk about the site being "better" in the olden days are inevitabley those who are from that "generation" of the websites history, when it was smal and "cliquey". You don't find many "newbies" saying that and it's the same on every forum across the internet. For example, it crops up on P & B with folk talking about how General Nonsense used to be better than it is now. It's not just restricted to ICT Online. A sites users is what makes a site. As Caley D says if you want to make the site better then it is entirely up to yourselves. Scotty and Caley D can only do so much but if the posters decided to stay away for whatever reason then there isn't much that can be done. I think it would be great to see some of the "old skool" posters coming on here again but sadly, for whatever reason, they have decided not to. I think also that ICT being in the position they are now might affect the site. We don't win as many games as we used to because of the league we are in and thus posts are generally more half empty whereas when we were sticking 6 past Alloa we were of course much more positive. But that's just what I think anyway...

  22. What do you think of Phil McGuire? caley100 - he is 20 just now according to the official site.
  23. RiG replied to Harry Chibber's topic in Caley Thistle
Can't say I'd be too bothered if he did leave.
  24. While I agree with your sentiments I don't think that Raydale has a valid safety certificate.
